Actress Gong Hyo Jin (recently of popular MBC drama Pasta) underwent a photoshoot for ELLE magazine, wearing Christian Dior. And she’s looking smoking hot.

She also had an interview, in which she revealed that since filming for Im Soon Rye’s upcoming film How To Go On A Trip With A Cow, she’s developed the hobby of growing plants, and has gained an interest in environmental issues. And when asked who she most likes going on trips with, she replied that she most enjoys going on trips with her boyfriend, actor Ryu Seung Beom. She said: “Even when we’re just sitting together silently, it still feels comfortable.”

These photos will be made available in ELLE’s August issue.

Gong Hyo Jin and Shin Min A share close companionship in Singapore

Seoul, Korea – Actress Gong Hyo Jin has posted on her personal home page photos of her time with Shin Min A during their holiday in Singapore.

In the late hours of July 27, Gong Hyo Jin uploaded several photos onto her personal home page, images of her and Shin Min A in Singapore. The photos show the two of them eating together, and posing together just being chummy. Gong even wrote a couple of sentences under the heading “A rainy trip to Singapore.”

The photos showed both ladies in comfortable apparel, wearing big smiles and no makeup, suggesting they were travelling. The two first met in 2009 on the set of Sisters on the Road (director Boo Ji Young) when they played sisters.

Viewers have been leaving such comments as “Hope the friendship lasts” and “peas in a pod.”

Gong is currently awaiting the post-production of How to Travel with a Cow, by Director Lim Soon Rye, which will open later this year. Shin is currently on SBS’s show My Girlfriend is a Fox with Nine Tails, airing every Wednesday and Thursday and costarring Lee Sung Gi.

Gong Hyo Jin recently did a photoshoot wearing Calvin Klein lingerie for Cosmopolitan magazine’s underwear campaign “Envy you, Envy her, Envy me”. The magazine chose Gong Hyo Jin for her ability to convey a message of realizing one’s inner sexiness and becoming confident. (Yeah, I think she fits that concept just fine.) Gong was reportedly a little nervous at the beginning of the shoot, but soon grew relaxed and confident as the shoot progressed, resulting in the photos we see here.

Gong recently acted in the Im Soon Rye film How To Go On A Trip With A Cow, which is set to hit theatres in the fall. This issue of Cosmopolitan featuring Gong will be availabe in stores in September.

Budget attire maker Uniqlo gears for expansion

Japanese retailer Uniqlo is aggressively expanding its Korean operations, with plans to open five new large stores in Seoul, Busan, Ilsan and Suwon in the second half of the year.

As it competes with H&M and Zara in the Korean market, Uniqlo is intensifying its marketing campaign and pushing its children’s line to capture more consumers.

"In the second half, we are opening large stores, expanding our kid’s line and getting a Korean celebrity model, as part of the marketing strategy and brand consolidation in the domestic market. We are continuing to lead in the domestic market," a Uniqlo marketing official said.

Uniqlo is opening stores in Lotte Department Stores in Cheongyangni, Seoul and in Gwangbok, Busan and Hyundai Department Store in Ilsan this month. The Uniqlo store in Lotte Gwangbok will be 1,744 square meters, the biggest of any brand in the city.

Next month, it will open another one in Lotte Department Store in Centum City, Busan, and in November, a store in AK Plaza in Suwon. Current Uniqlo stores in Lotte Young Plaza in Seoul and Lotte Department Store in Ilsan are under renovation and will reopen next month.

This would bring the total number of Uniqlo stores to 53 in Korea, the most of any SPA (specialty store for private label apparel) brand.

Uniqlo will also start selling its children’s clothing line in its major stores around the country. The company said there is a lot of room for growth in the children’s clothing segment.

Along with the children’s clothes, by opening new stores and renovating old ones Uniqlo is offering a one-stop shopping location for the entire family.

In order to project a more consumer-friendly image in Korea, Uniqlo has hired actress Kong Hyo-jin for its advertising campaign in the local market.

Kong, who starred in the films "Crush and Blush" and "M," will appear in various advertisements on TV and in magazines. She has just finished photo shoots in Japan for the fall and winter collections.

Uniqlo is operated in Korea by a joint venture with Lotte Shopping and Japanese retail giant Fast Retailing Group.

The Japanese company is intensifying its efforts to become a global fashion retailer, challenging Sweden’s H&M and Spain’s Zara. Its international sales already account for more than 10 percent of its total business, but its goal is to make it half of the total Uniqlo business within five years.

GOD i think SidusHQ slowly will move all his talent to NOA??.. maybe NOA will Focusing on Actor/Actress management??. While SIDUS wide his Business line.

^Yeah, I read about RSB switching agencies when it came out in the news a while back. His name now appears in the list of stars in N.O.A. Entertainment's website, but he doesn't have his own page yet. He used to be part of Oracle Entertainment before it got merged into Wellmade StarM; it seems the latter encountered some financial difficulties and a lot of their stars left. Not surprised that he decided to do the same once his contract there ran out. He sees firsthand how they've been handling his girlfriend's career and probably liked what he saw (hell, I like it). After all, there must be a reason why Hyo-Jin has been loyal to the same agency for a long time. Hopefully it's a good fit for him too.

I agree with your speculation that SidusHQ is most likely streamlining their company. Though I'm curious what criteria determines which stars currently get to stay with the mothership (like Jeon Ji-Hyun) and which ones get transferred to N.O.A.
