Best:

I'm Sorry I Love You - made me cry buckets

My Girl - Choon Hyang and Mong Ryong reunion!! ^_^

Worst:

Witch Yoo Hee - a horrible drama in the first place so i guess they didn't bother to make the ending decent. -_-

My Love Patzzi - this drama didn't even have an ending

My Name is Kim Sam Soon - I just didn't like it. the entire last episode was unnecessary and boring.

Worst ending:

Lovers in Paris

Autumn in my Heart

Best ending:

Green Rose - Gosh, the whole drama was good and the ending actually fit with the drama and wrapped everything up.

Sassy Girl Chun Hyang - Uhm Taewoong was still, as I like to call him, the cool guy. Plus, it was hilarious in the end.

Winter Sonata - Sweet yet sad ending.

Dae Jang Geum - Gosh, it was so good I can't even describe it.

All About Eve

Best

- Dae Jang Geum - Best Drama Ever. xD

- All About Eve - It's nice and just make you smile. :)

- Thank You - The drama from beginning to end was great.

- Korean Secret Agency - l - o - v - e the ending.

- Fantasy Couple - It keeps me laughing. xD All the money hidden! Ha!

- Dal Ja's Spring - Considering the option to end the drama, it ended nicely.

Worst:

- Autumn in My Heart - I didn't think the little twist in the end there is clever one bit.

- Witch Yoo Hee - Beginning was great. Ending was the opposite. D8 So lame.

- Thousand Year of Love - Although I love the main actor, but the ending along with the plot overall is just leaving you mad.

- What happened in Bali - Hm... ah-... hm.. just what happened? All that back and forth and THAT happened? Wth.

- Stairway to Heaven - It would be a great ending at around ep. 12, even if somebody is dying they didn't have to sketch it.

- I'm Sorry I love You / MiSA - Somewhat similiar with autumn but worse. I don't see its greatness in the ending. Realistic or fantasized stupidity? Hmm. o__O Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet scenerios are really overused.

- 9 Tail Fox - D8

- My Love Patazzi or something like that - It gives me the typical oh-no twitch. )8

- Sweet Spy - I'm not satisfied. :\

It seems like Lovers in Paris is popular for the worst ending title, but I didn't think it was so bad. It was just typical and predictable.

so far, here's my list:

worst ending:

1. Goong 1 - the drama was so good. i was looking forward to a really romantic ending...and then wham!!!...that was it? it wasn't really bad, just unsatisfactory.

i hate endings where the main actors die but since it seems like such is well-accepted in korea, i couldn't do anything :(

best ending:

1. Dal Ja's Spring - i like happily ever after endings which are not so mushy. the ending of this one goes well with the story.

2. MISA - this drama made me cry like crazy. it has a sad ending but a totally unexpected one.

3. My Girl - the surprise at the end is so nice.

WORST ENDINGS...

1. Winter Sonata - that ending was stupid! it mad me really mad. wasted my time watching it.

2. Stairway to Heaven - i especially hated this ending. she died no matter what & her brother killed himself for nothing! :fury:

3. Sad Love Story - why the heck do they have to kill Kwon Sang Woo at the end?!?!?!

4. A Love to Kill - as much as i love that drama, the last few episodes were a drag & the ending sucked!

5. The Devil - i loved the drama, but i did not see that THAT ending was coming. i thought one of them would live but NOOOO! stupid!

6. Save the Last Dance for Me - STUPID ENDING! period!

BEST ENDINGS...

1. Jumong - I LOVED IT! i was very satisfy with the ending even though i wished soseono to stay with jumong and have yesoya leave, but it was a good ending for me. it showed that jumong does really love soseono! :P

2. The Snow Queen - i thought the ending was good even though bora died taewoong continued to live on and remember bora. ^^

Best ending:

My name is Kim Sam Soon~ ending was good and realistic, and their love didn't end there, they will grow to love each other more and more

My girl~ Sweet romantic kiss at the lift, and the appearance of the casts from delightful chunyang was real unexpected but yet fit into the story perfectly

Damo~ one ending where everyone died but I still love the sad ending

Surgeon Bong Dal Hee~ great show, nice ending

Save the last dance for me~ ending was good and complete

All about eve

Bad family~ touching ending, and it tells us that people who are not related can also become a part of the family, caring for one another

Sweet 18~ good ending

Worst ending

Fashion 70s~ the whole show was great, but for the ending whereby the two main lead meet again in the village is so rush and short, they should have cut some scenes in the middle and leave more time for the ending

Sad sonata ending~ KWS died in a ridiculous way aigoooo.......they can leave him in the hospital and operate even if the percentage of a successful operation is low

Lovers~ the whole drama is draggy enough, even the ending is so draggy, what's up with Kang Jae?

Lover in Paris~ the ending was a disappointment but the drama is still interesting to watch except the ending

Autumn in my heart~ despite the ending, I still love the drama

glass shoes~ the guy didn't end up with any of the girl

A love to kill~ the ending "kill" me

What happen in Bali~ what's up with the ending, everyone died for nothing

My love patazzi~ I just hope jjang nara ended up with either of the guy but they end up being friends? But I still enjoyed the show on the whole

Loving you~ the ending?

Land of wine~ Oh my, what's happen to Kim Jae Won?

Best Ending:

Sassy Girl ChoonHyang: Sooooooooooo cute

My Girl: Cute cute !!

Vineyard Man: With the little kiddies...awwww

Good but Unsatisfied Ending:

Summer Scents Ok..it was a happy ending...but what next? They could have atleast shown 5 minutes of them being happy....after God know how many episodes of crying..

Goong...The way Eun Hye acted in the last episode...and the whole marriage really ticked me off...the whole drama was superb..awesome..great..it made my expectations of the ending so high..and..that was it?..i dunno it was just a bit lame and cheap the ending..

Thank You So they're together?..or not? What's the deal?

Worst Ending:

When not a happy ending...

Edit:

1. Goong 1 - the drama was so good. i was looking forward to a really romantic ending...and then wham!!!...that was it? it wasn't really bad, just unsatisfactory.

This is exactly what I mean!

Jumong: Great drama and story all throughout the end

What Happened in Bali: Despite what many people think, I still loved the Ending...i thought it was a big shocker and a big surprised and that's why i loved it...i'm glad it didn't end up in a typical story where everyone lived happily ever after..

Attic Cat: I loved the drama all throughout and i love how it ended, this was a great drama to see again

Worst Ending:

My Name is Kim Sam Soon: the ending was boring as hell and i think the drama is over rated

Good, But Not Exactly The Best:

Bad Family - I find series-finale weddings cliched 90% of the time, but this one was sweet, more a family affair than just couple-oriented. We leave them knowing that all is right in the world. (:

Sweet 18 - Nothing particularly original or creative about the ending, but I feel a certain fondness for how it depicts the circle of life: Harabeoji dies...and (kyooot) twins are born; JungSook (now with a job) tells off some doppelganger schoolgirl bullies...and they call her ajumma (lol); They finally take their long-delayed honeymoon to Jeju Island.

Esp loved the overlapping dialogue at the airport:

YJS: "I was just 18 when I first met him. I fell right in love."

KHJ: "I was 28 when I first met her. I decided to marry her."

YJS: "I asked him to marry me first."

KHJ: "But I told her I loved her first."

YJS: "He is my husband."

KHJ: "She is my wife."

KHJ: "I love her."

YJS: "I love him."

KHJ: "With our hearts pounding..."

YJS: "...we build our future together."

YJS: "I wonder what lies ahead."

KHJ: "I'm sure there will be sad times as well as happy times. But I'm not afraid."

YJS: "Because we're together."

YJS: "In our hearts we'll always be 18."

KHJ: "We've only just begun."

Aww~

Green Rose - The Agatha Christie-esque denouement; The villain's suicide mirroring the hero's fall to his 'death'; Justice is served and the lovers finally reunite. --> Nicely done.

DalJa's Spring - Found the whole DalJa-breaking-up-with-TaeBong-then-suddenly-leaving-Korea conflict unconvincing and lazy. But the drama makes up for it once she returns. "If it's fate... Must be!"

Thank You - It might've been perfect if only they had told Bom that SeokHyun was her father >.< That's such a huge misstep on the writer's part that I can hardly get past it. But like I said, APART from that, it came thisclose to being the ending that this lovely drama deserved (thank heavens Lee KyungHee managed to curb her trigger-happy impulses this time lol). Though I gotta admit a little physical affection between GiSeo and YoungShin (just a little!) in the last shot wouldn't have hurt. <_<

My Girl - Loved the scenes leading up to the elevator scene, loved the SGC: "My girl." / JYR: "You'll be blessed!" + heart thingie at the very end, and I thought the cameo of the "Delightful Girl Chunhyang" couple was hilarious. I'd rate it as one of the better endings I've seen; it's just that I was a teeny tiny bit disappointed. I guess I wanted those last few minutes to focus more on the drama's couple, instead of some extended epilogue/PD Jeon-and-Hong sisters' inside joke.

Bad, But Not Exactly The Worst:

Boys Over Flowers - Not exactly bad, iffy at most. Emotionally satisfying to a certain degree, with its references to JP+JD moments throughout the drama, the SoEul couple resolution, JanDi doggedly pursuing her dream, and special kudos to the pool scene (plus it could've gone much, much worse lol). Still... I'm aware BOF is something you watch for its entertainment value and not for its logic, but I wish there had been:

1) A final scene between JanDi and Madam Kang which signals the latter's acceptance of the former (and a much-needed explicit conversation between JanDi+JunPyo that they dumped each other cruelly <Macau/bus> due to Madam Kang's machinations);

2) A scene where Papa Gu wakes up from his coma and remembers JanDi's kindness to him, perhaps catalyzing #1;

3) A grander Shinhwa graduation party (not that familiar set again! And poor waltzing from the extras?? Really??);

4) A brief scene on What WooBin's Been Up To in the 4-years-later epilogue;

5) A Chief Jung sighting (perhaps giving CEO JunHee papers to sign);

6) A Granny sighting (perhaps proudly watching JunPyo on TV);

7) More overt affection from JanDi in the beach scene: Like running to JunPyo instead of tentatively walking towards him; hugging him back/putting her arm around his waist instead of keeping her hands in her coat pockets; finally saying "Saranghae";

8) JanDi saying "YESSS!!!" to the proposal even after F3 interrupted them.

Makes me wonder if the (scrapped) original New Caledonia ending would've been better or worse.

All In - InHa finally gets his girl! Woohoo! Yay! High-fiv... wait. Wait. WAIT. Uh, so what happened to Michael Jang's vendetta against InHa? I can't believe he'd just let InHa walk away unscathed from bankrupting him, and it's not as if the mob goons will have a hard time finding InHa (I mean, the house the guy built on Jeju-do pretty much sticks out). Why didn't they show us viewers the disastrous repercussions of InHa's decision on President Seo's company? (JoongMoon entered into the deal in good faith, desperately needing Michael Jang's investment to get back on its feet, and by "doing the right thing" InHa essentially screwed them over with no apparent guilt.) More importantly, WHAT WILL INHA DO NOW??? (Well, I suppose he and SooYeon can live on his pro-gambler earnings.) But what about his newly-recruited and be-suited friends, do they just go back to unemployment? What about the gangster boss played by Gi JuBong, so his story just ends with Im DaeSoo's death? (He had a vested interest in JungWon's casino too.) And what happened to JongGu and Jenny? (They had better have ended up together! Or else! lol) This may be cliche but...come on, no JungWon+JinHee reconciliation after all that sexual tension-cum-cutthroat competition (heh)? Questions, questions, so many questions. Look, I know this is InHa's story; but don't expect us to suddenly get amnesia and forget all the other characters just because we get the requisite happy ending. If the writer is going to juggle so many balls in the air, he better catch them all.

Time Between Dog and Wolf - After spending the last couple of years immersed in the nightmare of losing-his-memory-his-identity-and-becoming-his-worst-enemy's-right-hand-man, the ABSOLUTE LAST THING I would expect SooHyun would want to do is go undercover again. Lay low, yes. But also reconnect with his mom, his brother, his one true love, and HIMSELF. It can be done. But this, this poor-copy-of-"Resurrection" lone wolf ending was the best that you could come up with, writer/s? Just to avoid a saccharine<gasp!>non-noirish ending? I mean, really? The audience...hell, the CHARACTERS deserved better. (Plus points that Chief Jung lived though, hee.)

All About Eve - At long last, they kiss! But I didn't like that it had to come down to a choice between SunMi's dream job and HyungChul (her dream guy). It was the 90s... Couldn't she have both? And what's up with amnesia ERASING YoungMi's culpability? (Well hello there, friend of many old school K-dramas^^)

Fashion 70s - Could've been done better. As if the drama ran out of steam near the finish line.

Goong - Though not a big fan of the drama, I was glad that Shin+ChaeGyung got married for real and at the time I applauded the PR-savvy "Is she or isn't she?!" hook which made viewers antsy for a (nonexistent, as it turned out) sequel. But after the whole emotional rollercoaster, the ending left me very dissatisfied because (1) there were just too many loose ends left untied, and (2) the plot resolutions they did bother about were pretty nonsensical. And now with no Season 2 in the horizon, viewers are forever stuck with that blah ending. (This is why K-dramas should always have CLOSURE.)

Oh! PilSeung Bong SoonYoung - So PilSeung really was the chaebol's son... uh, and so? No one finds out at the end anyway (...which I guess was the writer's point, that it doesn't matter. But see, IT DOES). And I didn't like how he just upped and LEFT everything and everyone. Sure, not every drama has to have an 'all's well that ends well' ending, but it was so out of character for him.

Success Story of a Bright Girl - YangSoon informs KiTae (and all of us viewers) with absolutely no warning/foreshadowing/what-have-you that her dream is to be a soldier. Huh?!? Where'd THAT come from?!? Then for the love of YangSoon, KiTae decides to leave his fledgling company (which he barely managed to snatch back from the greedy villains' clutches) for a while to follow her to AFRICA. Smart move, that. [/sarcasm] Still, that last close-up of Jang Nara+Jang Hyuk's faces was priceless lol.

Worst:

Nothing beats Lovers in Paris. WTF?!?!? Why oh why did the writers try to be too clever at the end? Didn't COMPLETELY ruin the whole thing for me, because other than those last few scenes, it was an enjoyable drama... BUT. Ugh.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed Fox / A Love to Kill - Going for pathos ala-Damo and failing miserably. Laughable.

Sad Sonata - So over-the-top-manipulative that it did the opposite and had me rolling my eyes and chortling instead of squeezing anything out of my tearducts. What was I expecting anyway... crappy writing, crappy acting, crappy drama, crappy ending.

Stained Glass - Speaking of crappy dramas... After all the misery, zero chemistry and mind-numbing boredom, the least they could've done was throw a bone to those of us who stuck around till the end (a.k.a. pabo LDG fangirls who should've known better). Let's even set aside (for argument's sake) the last-minute-terminal-disease device or that KiTae stupidly decides to off himself (good riddance). But that JiSoo and DongJoo persist in believing he's still alive and decide to meet again after TWELVE FRICKIN YEARS?! Aigoo~

Summer Scent - YET another bad drama. Just when I thought the whole boring-ness of it all couldn't get any worse, that last episode was completely ridiculous. I was aghast that everyone conspired to make MinWoo think that HaeWon had died (while they patted themselves on the back, saying it was 'for his own good'). Think of the cruelty of having a guy go through the grief of TWO girlfriends dying on him within the span of a few years... dude, I'm surprised we didn't find Song SeungHun's highlighted curls in an asylum after that obligatory x-number-of-years-later. I mean, I didn't even care about the characters and I was going 'The hell?' :fury: Also: If this wasn't such a heavy, draggggggy, PDA-deficient drama, I would've thought that very last scene--on the steps, in the rain, with the umbrellas, the crowd melting away, their hearts beating as one--was kinda nice. Alas.

Sweet Spy - That was it? Did the writers have a lobotomy hence the horrible handling of the spy arc? Not to mention the illogical SoonAe-YooIl pairing.

SangDoo, Let's Go to School! - Full disclosure: I love this drama. I even actually liked the overall execution of the ending (though it seems to have confused many) with its low key, life-goes-on-and-therein-lies-the-greater-heartbreak depiction of real life and those left behind vs. the bucolic what-could-have-beens. What I hate is the utter pointlessness of killing them off in the first place.

Best:

The Sandglass - Haunting. Unforgettable. Truly a classic.

Damo - Wuxia+Greek tragedy at its finest.

Devil - Everything comes full circle in the worst (for the characters) and best (for us viewers) way possible.

Resurrection - The end is just a new beginning. Yowza!

Goodbye Solo - Here's why.

I'm Sorry, I Love You - SAAAAAAAAD (esp in EunChae's case: such a waste), but somehow, in a wallowing-in-the-karmic-shinpa-ness-of-it-all way....just right.

My Name is Kim SamSoon - A happy ending, yet one that stayed true to the drama's realistic tone. As befits our beloved heroine's journey.

Que Sera Sera - What a wonderful mix of life-goes-on realism and the magic of second chances. Loved it.

Super Rookie - The perfect fun, feel-good ending to a beksoo fairytale. :P

What Happened in Bali - Shock value aside, I thought it was a pretty fitting ending. Frankly I can't imagine another resolution to their messed-up lives.

Alone in Love - Because I desperately wanted a happy ending for DongJin+EunHo and couldn't believe I actually got one. :w00t: Seeing what became of the supporting characters as well as the ambiguity in the narration was also a nice two-fold bonus.

Hello Franceska [season 1] - The title says it all. *sniff sniff siiiiiiiigh*

Soulmate - Accomplishes the impossible feat of leaving you totally hanging and wanting more (waaahhhh!) (that also makes room for a possible Season 2 *fingers still crossed lol*) while at the same time gifting you with the absolute certainty that those crazy kids DongWook and SooKyung will find each other and be okay. Makes you believe in the power of happy endings  (even ones that happen offscreen).
