*** Time flies so fast that "Arthdal Chronicles"  has now closed its first half of broadcast after three weeks. I just feel sad & bad that the series suffers from lukewarm attention as it heads into its latter half. Sigh..... that I see slight dip in viewership ratings. I guess this slight decline in ratings after the fifth and sixth episodes were released simultaneously is due to the Asian games. With the second half of the broadcast just around the corner, I hope the ratings will go up. "Arthdal Chronicles 2" is every weekend at 9:20 p.m. KST on tvN, Netflix and Disney+. Yes, it's also on Netflix now.   :poledance:

6 Heart-Pounding Events From "Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword Of Aramun" That Kept Us Glued To Our Seats So Far

Arthdal-Chronicles-Heart-Pounding-Events

As the continuation of the prolific series, "Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword Of Aramun" has been gaining the attention of netizens week after week. From its nail-biting storyline to heart-racing character relationships, the drama has surpassed expectations. With names like Lee JoonGi, Shin SaeKyeong, Jang DongGun, and Kim OkBin leading the charge, success seemed only imminent for the tvN drama.

Practically reaching its halfway point, there has been no lull in action and thrilling suspense as the stories of our beloved characters continue to unfold. Embroiled in war and the fulfillment of a prophecy, every episode has been filled with a boiling excitement to see what happens next. Even for six episodes, a lot has happened in the world of "Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword Of Aramun".

Here's a few heart-pounding events from the drama that kept us glued to our seats.

Note: spoilers ahead!

1. MuBaek's Untimely Sacrifice

Despite serving under TaGon (Jang DongGun), MuBaek (Park HaeJun) possessed a sincere heart. He was determined to aid both EunSeom and SaYa (both played by Lee JoonGi) in an attempt to bring justice to the world and TaGon's wrongdoings.

However, despite his earnest efforts and kind soul, he was ultimately cut down while saving a life. He was so close to becoming another pillar of support for EunSeom and a connection to his mother. While his death was inevitable, you cannot help but feel a tinge of regret that we couldn't see him take on a role in EunSeom's trusted circle.

2. EunSeom Finds Himself In The Heart Of Arthdal

With the Ago Union by his side, it seemed the only way EunSeom would enter the city of Arthdal was through battle.

However, after being saved by MuBaek, he finds himself in SaYa's quarters, well inside Arthdal.

Its a dizzying moment for him as it quickly follows with a short clash between Queen Tae AlHa. While posing as his twin, audiences could not help but watch in bated breath, wondering if and when he would be caught. While his identity does leak out, for the most part he remains under the radar. EunSeom eventually is able to leave the city with all limbs intact.

3. Heartfelt Reunion Between EunSeom And TanYa

After several long years apart, EunSeom and TanYa (Shin SaeKyeong) share a heartfelt reunion. Their feelings toward each other had only grown while they were separated, bubbling over into a passionate kiss. It was an electrifying moment that viewers will be unable to forget.

4. Discovery Of Aramun Haesulla's Tomb

Throughout the entirety of the epic series, it was believed that Aramun Haesulla was some divine being who ascended into the heavens. However, through "Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword Of Aramun" we learn the truth: that he was buried in a tomb, hidden in plain sight. As TanYa and EunSeom discover evidence of Aramun's Igutu nature, viewers could not help but imagine the implications this newfound revelation holds.

5. Proclamation Of Igutu Being Sacred

After an intense battle to secure the safety of TaGon and Tae AlHa's son, waves of military forces poured in for support.

However, witnessing their injured king and his purple blood, they reach a stark realization: TaGon is an Igutu, a forsaken race ostracized by many. But after gathering enough courage, TanYa arrives on the scene and aptly makes the proclamation that Aramun Haesulla was indeed an Igutu, transforming the blood of outcasts into something sacred and holy.

Its a tense moment that changes the dynamics of their world as a whole. While proclaimed by the high priestess, many are still hesitant to accept it as truth, causing the tension to become almost tangible. Afterwards, audiences could not help but watch on to see the peoples' reaction to the shocking news.

6. EunSeom Accepts His Destiny

When first uncovering the tomb, TanYa informs EunSeom of his identity as Aramun Haesulla reincarnate. Despite coming into the role of Inaishingi, she reveals that it's up to him to become both, ultimately uniting the warring nations. While he rejects this at first, during a battle with YangCha (Ki DoHun), he changes his stance.

Struck by lighting, his sword changes in a way that it resembles one of prophecy. Convinced that its a sign from the gods, EunSeom accepts his destiny. This scene left viewers utterly speechless from EunSeom's growing charisma. Now, it is only a matter of time before he transforms into a new version of Aramun Haesulla and create his own legacy.

While "Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword Of Aramun" took a short break for the Chuseok weekend, we cannot wait to witness more of the action unfold.

*** The drama collapsed due to sudden scheduling changes. I wonder why tvN canceled the drama when they were not broadcasting the Asian Games. The ratings had been stable, with the first 4 episodes consistently reaching the 5% range. However, frequent cancellations and consecutive broadcasts have taken a toll on viewers’ interest. So far, with 6 episodes left, it will be challenging for the drama to recover its ratings. Well, I hope in the latter part, the ratings will go back and maybe  increase to 5% level where a showdown between the characters played by Jang Dong-gun and Lee Joon-gi is expected to happen. It won't be easy, though and regaining the lost momentum is a challenging task.    :Fist1:

*** "Arthdal Chronicles 2," which received positive feedback despite a risky cast change, experienced a sharp decline in popularity. When the drama dropped the sixth episode on September 23 and recorded a 2.2% nationwide score, this was far lower than its previous episodes. Sadly, this was caused by the release of two episodes in one night. The drama then had a long runtime airing past midnight. As it takes back its original time slot, I expect that the drama continues to retrieve the popularity it lost during the rescheduling fiasco.  "Arthdal Chronicles 2" is on tvN at 9:20 p.m. KST every Saturday and Sunday. It is also available for streaming worldwide on Disney+.    :heart3:
