‘Movie Street’ to be created in Haeundae Source: Dynamic Busan
A “Movie Street” will be created in the film city of Busan.
The eight kilometers from Haeundae Centum City’s Busan Cinema Center to Haeundae Beach to Moontan Road will be called “Movie Street.” The street will create five stories: a place where one can encounter films, become friends with films, play with films, immerse in films and reminisce about films. Movie aficionados can get a sense of “watching a movie” as they walk along this street. The third area (among five areas of the street), from Marine City to Dongbaek Island, will be created first. The third area will start at the embankment of Marine City, where visitors can watch major scenes of a movie through trick art and graphics, and in the middle of the area, they can rest at the observation deck and rest area. The observation deck, created in the likeness of a boat in “Pirates of the Caribbean,” will allow visitors to get a sense of falling into the scene of an actual movie. The latter part of the area will be “Red Carpet Street,” where visitors can pretend to be movie stars walking along the red carpet, and “History Street,” which shows the growth of BIFF on an LED screen.
This street will also have Music Road, and Music Fountain.

Lee Byung Hun’s new movie ‘Inside Men’ to open in May 2015
Source: KPOP Fighting!
IMAGE
It has been announced that Lee Byung Hun‘s new movie ‘Inside Men‘ will open in cinemas across South Korea in May 2015.
Showbox Media Plex revealed today that ‘Inside Men’ will be shown between May and June, and will not be affected by the fallout from Lee Byung Hun’s blackmail case.
‘Inside Men’ is based on the web comic of the same name by Yoon Tae Ho, where another web comic of his was used for the tvN hit series ‘Misaeng.’ The movie will tell the story of corruption among the triads, prosecution, and media in Korea. Besides Lee Byung Hun, the movie also stars Cho Seung Woo and Baek Yoon Sik.
Lee Byung Hun will also appear in Hollywood blockbuster ‘Terminator: Genisys’ which opens in July 2015, and will see the actor Hun take on a meaty role as the villain T-1000.
However, another of Lee Byung Hun’s movie ‘Memories of the Sword’ continues to be left without an airing date. Lotte Entertainment revealed that the movie is likely to go on air within this year, but there’s no exact date as yet. The movie is headlined by Lee Byung Hun and Jeon Do Yeon, and was supposed to open in South Korean cinemas last December. But Lee Byung Hun’s blackmail case in late 2014 led to Lotte Entertainment delaying the release date to early this year.

Lotte and CJ E&M Won’t Be Distributing Lee Byung Hun’s Latest Film “Terminator 5″http://www.soompi.com/2015/01/27/lotte-and-cj-em-wont-be-distributing-lee-byung-huns-latest-film-terminator-5/

Lotte Entertainment, one of the largest film production and distribution companies in Korea, revealed that it would not be taking up domestic distribution for Lee Byung Hun’s latest Hollywood movie, “Terminator 5: Genisys.”
A spokesperson for Lotte Entertainment told Star News on January 27, “Although we have been identified as a distributor for ‘Terminator 5,’ the movie is currently not in our lineup.”
As a Hollywood film featuring Lee Byung Hun in a sizable role, “Terminator 5: Genisys” has already been receiving a lot of attention. CJ E&M previously considered taking up distribution but decided on selling the rights to “Terminator 5: Genisys” instead, leaving it an open question who would take CJ E&M’s place as distributor.
“Terminator 5: Genisys” is set in the year of 2029, as John Connor (played by Jason Clarke) leads the Resistance in a war against the machines that will change the course of human history. Lee Byung Hun plays one of the antagonists, a shapeshifting T-1000 cyborg. The film is slated for a July 2015 release.

Lotte Grabs Korean Rights on Lee Byung-hun’s ‘Terminator: Genisys’
Sonia Kil Varietyterminator-genisys.jpg?w=670&h=377&crop=
SEOUL — South Korean rights to Paramount Pictures’ “Terminator: Genisys,” have been picked up by Lotte Entertainment, the second largest vertically integrated film concern in South Korea.
The move follows Paramount’s unusual decision earlier this month to unpick a previously-advertised deal with CJ Entertainment, its regular sub-distributor in the country, and Korea’s dominant film group.
South Korea is a key territory for the movie as top Korean star Lee Byung-hun plays a major role as a shape-shifting T-1000 android.
“’T5′ is set to open in Korea in July, 2015,” said Lotte in a statement on Wednesday. “We confirm that Lotte Entertainment has taken over Korean distribution rights to ‘T5’ as of 28 January. We apologize for any confusion caused.”
Earlier CJ said that the decision had been made by Paramount alone, and that it was not connected to a recent sex and blackmail scandal that has tarnished Lee’s name in Korea.
As an investor in the Hemisphere Tentpole Co-financing Fund, Lotte has previously had access to a small number of other Paramount-released titles, including “World War Z” in 2013. “This case is different from ‘WWZ,’ as we only signed up for ‘T5’’s domestic distribution and marketing this time,” Lotte told Variety. The spokesman declined to elaborate on whether the deal marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between Lotte and Paramount, but confirmed that the “T5” deal was only completed in the evening of Tuesday (Jan. 27).
Lotte is also set to release another Lee-starring picture, the Korean-made “Memories of the Sword,” which remains undated. “We decided to release ‘T5’ first, as its North American release date has been firmly settled and we will set the local release to fit it,” said Lotte.
Scheduled to be released in North America on July 1, “T5” is the fifth installment in the “Terminator” series, and is said to reset the series as a sequel, prequel, and reboot of the original story. Arnold Schwarzenegger reprises his role.

News: Lotte Picks up TERMINATOR, Still No Release for MEMORIES OF THE SWORD
Source: Modern Korean Cinema
In an unusual move, Paramount announced earlier this month that their summer tentpole Terminator: Genisys would not be distributed by their usual partner CJ Entertainment in Korea. That position has now been filled by Lotte Entertainment, which will release the film in July.
The change in distributor isn't exactly a big piece of news, unless you're one of the interested parties, but there was speculation that it might have had something to do with Lee Byung-hun, who stars in the blockbuster, and his current scandal. Lee is also set to appear in this year's Lotte period epic Memories of the Sword (co-starring Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun), which has yet to fix a release date. Lotte has now said that that film will not be released until after Terminator, which is very late, considering that it wrapped in February 2014.
Mired in a sex and blackmail scandal, Lee's image has taken an enormous hit in Korea and it is unclear when Lotte will feel confident enough to release their expensive period production. Another film of his with an unclear fate is the Showbox thriller Inside Men.

'Terminator', 'Tomorrowland' and More Set for Super Bowl'Terminator Genisys' and 'Tomorrowland' have been confirmed for Super Bowl TV spots, along with 'Insurgent', 'Seventh Son' and 'Ted 2'.
by Brian Gallagher MovieWeb

Four days from now, fans around the world will be watching Super Bowl XLIX take place at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where the defending champion Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots in a battle for NFL supremacy. For those who could care less about the big game, Deadline has a rundown of the upcoming movies that will debut new ads during the game, including the highly-anticipated summer releases Terminator Genisys (July 1) and Tomorrowland (May 22). Unfortunately for Marvel fans, Tomorrowland is the only movie Disney is expected to showcase on Sunday, so don't expect to see new footage from the highly-anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron (May 1) or Ant-Man (July 17).
Earlier this month, Universal Pictures confirmed that it will showcase the summer blockbuster Jurassic World (June 12) during the big game, and the studio will also roll out new ads for Ted 2 (June 26), Seventh Son (February 6) and Minions (July 10), although the Minions ad already debuted earlier today. Along with the Terminator Genisys ad, which will debut during the second quarter of the game, Paramount is releasing a new TV spot for The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water (February 6), slated to air during the first half hour of coverage, just before Idina Menzel sings the National Anthem.
Lionsgate will debut an ad for The Divergent Series: Insurgent (March 20) during NBC's pre-game show, but fans will get to see the footage online starting tomorrow, January 29 at 9 AM PST. 20th Century Fox will also release a TV spot for Kingsman: The Secret Service (February 13) during pre-game coverage. Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. aren't expected to debut any ads this year, so fans hoping for an early glimpse Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice during the game will surely be disappointed.
Advertisers are shelling out big bucks to promote their products and services during Super Bowl XLIX, with a record $4.5 million price tag for a 30-second spot, an all-time record which is up 7% from last year's $4.2 million price. Are you looking forward to seeing all of this new footage during the game on Sunday? Or are you disappointed some of your most-anticipated movies won't be on display?
Super Bowl episode 49.1, "Super Bowl XLIX" airs on NBC February 1st, 2015.
Terminator Genisys comes to theaters July 1st, 2015 and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Matt Smith, J.K. Simmons, Douglas Smith, Dayo Okeniyi. The film is directed by Alan Taylor.
Tomorrowland comes to theaters May 22nd, 2015 and stars George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy, Thomas Robinson, Britt Robertson, Kathryn Hahn. The film is directed by Brad Bird.

By Annie Martin  UPI

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Emilia Clarke and Arnold Schwarzenegger star in a new trailer for Terminator: Genisys.
The upcoming fifth installment released a Super Bowl spot teaser early Thursday morning. The preview sees Sarah Connor (Clarke) and the Terminator (Schwarzenegger) team up against a new T-800 (Aaron V. Williamson) and a T-1000 (Lee Byung-hun).
Terminator: Genisys is directed by Alan Taylor, and will serve as a sequel, prequel and reboot to the first four movies. The film also stars Jason Clarke as John Connor, who sends Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back in time to protect mother Sarah.

Paying the bill for a bad public imageSouth Korean celebrities legally forced to compensate advertiser for damages sustained by fallen public reputation
In South Korea, where endorsement by popular celebrities is the advertising norm, those who create trouble are increasingly having to dole out their own cash for harming the reputation of the company they represent.
The Seoul Central District Court ruled Wednesday that comedian Lee Soo-geun, who was sentenced to probation for illegal gambling in 2013, must compensate the company he was representing with 700 million won.
The ruling comes after the automotive company Bullsone filed a 20 billion won damage suit against Lee, claiming reparation for his part in “tarnishing the company’s image” as well as the financial losses the company suffered as a result of his social misconduct.
Lee is only one of many celebrities who have been rapped by the courts for allegedly violating their legal duty to “maintain a positive conduct” as models for their respective advertisers.
Last week, the court ordered actress Lee Seung-yeon, who was put on probation for drug abuse in 2013, to compensate the company she was representing by paying 100 million won.
K-pop girl group Kara, who was entangled in a legal battle with its agency last year, was forced to pay 50 million won to the company that the group endorsed. Companies that hired actress Clara -- who is currently in a controversial dispute with her agency -- as their model, are reportedly preparing to file a damage suit against the actress.
What exactly are the legal grounds for the celebrities to compensate the companies they represent for what may seem like “private issues?”
One major source of legal power comes from the contents of the original contract signed between both sides.
Typically included in such contracts is a key clause stipulating that the star must maintain a positive conduct and refrain from any behavior that will damage the image of the company or its product.
Such a clause gives the advertiser legal power to file a damage suit against the hired model, who may have harmed the advertiser’s reputation through whatever form of public misconduct.
In determining the degree of responsibility as well as the amount of compensation that must be paid, the presence or absence of action-specific clauses is important, legal experts say.
Most contracts include a clause that outlines specific procedures for different situations -- in case the celebrity is indicted for criminal activities or commits acts publicly deemed immoral, the celebrity must pay back twice the amount originally received for the modeling service.
When such clauses are absent, the settlement process becomes more complex. The prosecution must provide evidence that clearly shows the amount of financial and public damage suffered due to lapses by the celebrity.
Perhaps more important is defining the so-called notion of “positive conduct and behavior” and its boundaries.
For the notion is by nature subjective, it is often difficult to draw the line between a celebrity’s right to privacy and freedom of action, and the profit-related concerns of the company that hired them as models.
More often than not, a number of unfortunate celebrities suffer serious damage to their public image due to issues that are out of their control.
One such victim is actor Lee Byung-hun, who is married to actress Lee Min-Jung. Lee’s reputation plummeted when video footage suggesting that he was involved in a romantic relationship with a singer and model began circulating.
Though the court later proved that the two women blackmailed Lee for financial gains, he ended up losing many key advertising contracts as public opinion had turned against him.
To protect the rights of both the celebrities and the companies that hire them as models, it is important that both parties draw up clauses as specifically as possible when signing an advertising contract, legal experts said.

Lee Byung-hun in ‘Terminator Genisys’ Super Bowl trailer
tg_sb_10.gif
Actor Lee Byung-hun has appeared in the official 30-second trailer of the highly anticipated film “Terminator Genisys,” scheduled to be aired on Feb. 2 during the Super Bowl, the biggest annual sports event in the United States.
Paramount Pictures prereleased the trailer on YouTube Thursday. Lee is shown in action as the new villain T-1000, a shape-shifting newer Terminator model, alongside world-famous stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emilia Clarke.
Lee is expected to garner further international spotlight for his role, given that the Super Bowl, the annual championship game of the U.S. National Football League, is watched by 1 billion spectators around the world and 100 million people in the U.S. alone.
The Super Bowl trailer testifies to Hollywood’s high stakes on the upcoming film. Placing an advertisement during the Super Bowl is said to cost over 400 million won per second and companies often fight to buy ad time during the game.
Directed by Alan Taylor, “Terminator: Genisys” is the fifth installment of the popular Terminator series. The film depicts the struggle to save humanity by the reprogrammed old Terminator, which fights against the villains sent from the future -- the new model Terminator and the T-1000, played by Lee.
The movie will hit theatres worldwide on July 1.
