Lee Byung Hun in Talks to Appear in Hollywood Film “Beyond Deceit”http://www.soompi.com/2015/02/16/lee-byung-hun-in-talks-to-appear-in-hollywood-film-beyond-deceit/

Lee Byung Hun’s agency has confirmed previous reports that the actor is in talks to star in the Hollywood film “Beyond Deceit.”
“He is currently in talks to appear in the film, but nothing has been decided as of now,” a representative from BH Entertainment said on February 17. This announcement comes nearly two weeks after a Hollywood Reporter article claimed that Lee Byung Hun was in final negotiations for a role in the film alongside famous Hollywood actors Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino.
The representative also had little news to report regarding the actor’s domestic activities, saying, “While he is expected to come back shortly, he has no set return date or fixed plans for activities in Korea.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter on February 6th, the three actors are in final negotiations to appear in the film Beyond Deceit, a legal thriller that follows an ambitious young lawyer that takes on a big case against a pharmaceutical company with a devious CEO, only to be pulled into a murder case in which he is the prime suspect. Other actors who are also in final talks to appear other than Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino include Dan Stevens and Malin Akerman.
BH Entertainment confirmed the report on February 17th, adding that they are still coordinating his schedule and the details have not yet been finalized.
Dan Stevens will be playing the protagonist lawyer suspected of murder with Malin Akerman as his ex-girlfriend, while Anthony Hopkins will play the lawyer and representative of the pharmaceutical company executive, which is characterized by Al Pacino. Lee Byung Hun’s role will be an assassin and hitman in the directorial debut of Shintaro Shimosawa (Grudge) Beyond Deceit, though further details were not yet revealed.
Should everyone confirm their roles and participation in the film, filming will begin in New Orleans in March.
Currently, Lee Byung Hun is staying in the United States with his wife Lee Min Jung, who is currently pregnant, as the couple are waiting their child’s birth in April. The actor was recently revealed to have held a surprise baby shower for his wife as well.
Meanwhile, the actor has several films making its premiere soon, including the fifth installment in the Terminator series Terminator Genisys as the villain T-1000. The blackmail court case against Dahee and Lee Ji Yeon also reached its verdict in January, sentencing the two to jail for a year to which Lee Byung Hun has recently filed a request for pardon on their behalf.

Lee Byung Hun Is Considering Another Bad Guy Role
BY Julie Jones | KDramaStars
Lee Byung Hun is considering another bad guy role in a Hollywood film. His most recent Hollywood role is playing T-1000, the latest model of the Terminator killing machines in the film "Terminator Genysis," which is due to be released in July. And now Lee is considering the role of a hit man in the upcoming film "Beyond Deceit," starring Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino and Dan Stevens.
His agency, BH Entertainment, says that the actor is finalizing discussions about his part in the film.
"He is currently in talks to appear in the film, but nothing has been decided as of now," said a BH representative on February 17.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is a legal thriller, written by Shintaro Shimosawa, the producer and writer responsible for the horror movie "The Grudge" and the American television series "The Ringer," which starred Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Dan Stevens, who appeared in "Downton Abbey," plays a lawyer in the film. His character takes on a case against a pharmaceutical company executive only to become the suspect in a murder case. Hopkins will play the cold-blooded executive of the pharmaceutical company. Pacino plays a senior lawyer who counsels Stevens. Lee will play the hit man who is hired by the pharmaceutical executive. The film is set to start filming in New Orleans in March.
Lee Byung Hun and his wife actress Lee Min Jung have spent the last few months in Los Angeles. The actor went to Los Angeles for work, which included filming "Terminator Genysis" and filming some promotional material for tourism in the state of California. But working there also offered an opportunity to escape the publicity surrounding the trial of the two women who attempted to blackmail him during the summer of 2014. The actor did return to Korea to provide evidence in the trials and has since asked that his convicted blackmailers be pardoned.
Lee Byung Hun and his wife are expecting their first child in April 2015. Although Lee Min Jung has been spending time with her husband in Los Angeles, her agency has stated that she will return to Korea for the birth of her child.
According to BH Entertainment, Lee Byung Hun has no set plans on when he will return to Korea.
"While he is expected to come back shortly, he has no set return date or fixed plans for activities in Korea," said the BH Entertainment representative.

‘Terminator: Genisys’ NEWS: Hot Toys Announces Brand New Line Of Collectibles, Will They Have A Replica Of The T-1000?
Source: Fashion & Style
Hot Toys announced that they will soon be releasing a new line of sixth scale collectibles from "Terminator: Genisys," which will likely include the "good" T-800, Sarah Connor, Kyle Reese and the T-1000 as well.
Hot Toys has recently announced that they will be releasing a new line of "Terminator: Genisys" sixth scale collectibles and now some fans are wondering if they will include a replica of the T-1000 too.
According to Action Figure Fury, the company has secured the license needed in order to release a new line of sixth scale collectibles from "Terminator: Genisys" which is due out in theaters on Wednesday, July 1.
Unfortunately, Hot Toys wasn't able to release a preview of the new collectibles at this time, notes Comic Book Movie.
The company merely posted a teaser, which features a fire against a black background and the "Terminator: Genisys" official logo. Underneath the title of the movie, Hot Toys informs "Terminator" fans that the sixth scale collectibles will be released soon.
While no one is quite sure which characters will be sculpted by the company, Comic Book notes that Arnold Schwarzenegger's "good" Terminator Pops is a given.
It is also likely that fans will be able to collect figurines based off of Emilia Clarke's Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney's Kyle Reese, Jason Clarke's John Connor and Lee Byhung-hun's T-1000 as well.
Other actors who appear in the movie and whose characters could become collectibles as well include Matt Smith, Dayo Okeniyi, Courtney B. Vance, Sandrine Holt and J.K. Simmons.
While it is disappointing for fans to learn that Hot Toys hasn't released too much information about their new sixth scale collectible line, given the fact that "Terminator: Genisys" is slated to open in July, it is entirely possible that the toys will be released either right before or right after the movie opens.
Plus, with the release of "Genisys" only a few months away, Hot Toys will probably release more information on their new collectibles as the premiere date draws closer.

Script reviews of Terminator: Genisys are extremely positive, “it’s three action packed movies in one” (non-spoiler)
BY LUKE OWEN l FlickeringMyth.com

It’s fair to say that the reactions to Terminator: Genisys have not been overwhelmingly positive. The initial badly photoshopped images were the first indication, and then subsequent trailer did the movie no favours. But, if these two non-spoiler script reviews from Arnoldfans.com are to be believed, the film might be better than we think.
“I think the best way to describe Terminator Genisys is three action packed movies in one,” writes ‘Greg’. “First of all, we finally get to see the Future Wars. Where John Connor, Kyle Reese and resistance take on Skynet. This is something that Terminator fans have wanted to see since James Cameron gave them a preview of it in the first film. So I don’t think fans will be disappointed with this portion of the movie at all! In the script the future war is 18 pages. So I would say around 20 minutes give or take. So it’s probably 10-15 minutes of action and then the set up with Reese going back to 1984. The movie should be slightly over 2 hours(script is 130 pages). So the breakdown will probably be about 20 minutes Future Wars, 40 minutes 1984 and 1 hour for (*date removed for spoiler) portion of the movie.”
“As action packed and exciting as the first two portions of the movie are, the third portion of the movie has even more non-stop big explosive action with tons of destruction and surprises,” he adds.
“For me personally, since I loved the first two Terminator movies so much, I’m not sure it will beat the classics but we shall see,” he concludes. “If you go into this movie with a open mind and willing to accept some changes, this should be an action-packed thrill ride that rivals any recent summer blockbuster.”
Another reviewer by the name of ‘Jay’ says, “long time Terminator fans should be pleased to see some classic scenes recreated with a Back To The Future twist, meaning things don’t pan out like the original movie; this is good for the nostalgia feel.”
“Some of the dialogue wasn’t the best but there may have been a revised script,” he admits. “The “pops” talk and T-800 watching sesame street stuff has been over exaggerated. It all makes sense when reading it and no doubt if anyone heard about Arnold being called Uncle Bob, swearing not to kill anyone and learning to say ‘No Problemo’ back in the day when T2 was looming, fans would have been crying about that too.

Terminator Genisys IMAX® Trailer

February 21, 2015
Why You Should Be Excited for "Terminator: Genisys"
by James Porter ⋅ MOVIEPILOT
2015's summer is stacked with gigantic movies like "Jurassic World" and "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" that we all have a lot of faith in, but I think there's another movie that we'll be talking about when it comes to best movies of the summer;
Yea, the plot sounds strange and it looks a little like its treading old ground but I have a very good feeling about "Terminator: Genisys".
1)The Director
Alan Taylor recently directed the second Thor movie "Thor: The Dark World", which wasn't necessarily a fantastic movie, but it was very entertaining, it was also a very dark film with great action scenes and good character moments, I think he's perfect for the Terminator series.
2)Arnie's back!
The Terminator himself is back in business as the iconic T-800, but this time he's not hunting Sarah Connor, or protecting John Connor. This T-800 was sent back by John to when Sarah was a child, so that he may raise her to be the richard simmons kicking lady we know and love. We also get to see Arnie Vs Arnie, and I'm sure I'm not the only one excited about that.
3)Great Early Script Reviews
Some early reviews on the script for the film have been very encouraging. We have been told to expect some surprises and significant changes to the series but that it is an action packed thrill ride that rivals any recent summer blockbuster. Co-star of the film, JK Simmons, who is clearing house at the Awards circuit recently for "Whiplash" has also spoken very highly of the script, he said the following: "intelligent and fun and funny and well-rounded and heart-felt. It’s a love story. It’s a really interesting script"
4)The Cast
Emiliia Clarke (Game Of Thrones) is a perfect fit for the role of Sarah Connor, she even looks like a young Linda Hamilton! She's strong willed, courageous and knows her way around a gun from what we saw in the trailer. Jason Clarke might be the most underrated actor in Hollywood right now, his small but standout performance in "Zero Dark Thirty" has always stayed with me and he was also very impressive in "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes". JK Simmons who just gave one of the best performances of the year in "Whiplash" plays an alcoholic police officer studying the case of Sarah Connor. And Jai Courtney, might be the only weak link, he hasn't really impressed me in anything other than his small role in "Unbroken", lets hope he surprises us!
5)We Finally See The War
Ever since the small glimpses of the futuristic war between man and machine in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" fans have fantasized about seeing the entire thing. We saw a version of the war in "Terminator: Salvation" yet it was very different from what we always imagined, from the looks of the trailers we are now getting the battles we always dreamed of packed with lasers, chrome and well....more lasers.
6)The T-1000 Makes His Return
One of the most iconic sci-fi baddies of all time is Robert Patrick as the Olympic sprinting T-1000, comprised from liquid metal, he could form his body into all sorts of shapes, such as his famous arm blades. Patrick of course hasn't returned to the role, (rumor is he may have a cameo) but the character is now being played by Byung Hun Lee best known for playing Storm Shadow in the G.I Joe movies.

Why Africa is Hollywood’s biggest missed opportunityHollywood is making decisions about its future by relying on assumptions from the past.
By Dayo Olopade and Biola Alabi l The Washington Post
It has been 13 years since Halle Berry and Denzel Washington made history on the Oscar stage, taking home statues for Best Actress and Best Actor. In her acceptance speech, Berry — the first black woman to win the category — proclaimed that the “door has been opened” for other deserving actresses of color to win the honor. History has proven this to be an overstatement.  Only 10 black actresses have been nominated in the leading role category, and Berry is still the only winner. There’s no hope that will change at the 87th Academy Awards this Sunday — no people of color are nominated for acting.
Hollywood has consistently snubbed minority actors and actresses. Some movie studios justify their diversity problem with economic arguments: In a leaked e-mail to Sony Pictures Chairman Michael Lynton, an unnamed producer warned against casting Washington in films that would be marketed overseas: “I believe that the international motion picture audience is racist — in general, pictures with an African American lead don’t play well overseas.” Such judgments reveal Hollywood’s outdated mindset and ignore the rapidly changing demographics and tastes of international moviegoers. Africa, in particular, has remained a perennial blind spot, threatening to become a missed business opportunity for Hollywood. Movie watching is growing rapidly in several African nations, and there is evidence that black leads attract the attention of that growing audience and others.
International moviegoers deliver nearly 70 percent of the industry’s business today, with nearly a third of that global box office coming from Asia — especially China, Japan and India. The industry is courting that audience by producing high-tech films that wow on Asia’s growing number of 3D movie screens, and distributing more films with Asian characters and settings. “Life of Pi,” the 2012 film about a shipwrecked Indian boy, shocked movie executives by earning nearly 80 percent of its sales in foreign markets. South Korean actor Byung-hun Lee was cast in the 2014 movie “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” which grossed $42 million in its opening weekends in East Asia, more than half of its total foreign opening weekend sales. Now, when industry decision-makers look beyond U.S. shores, their first question is, “Can this sell in China?”
But that view is short-sighted. Movie-watching in African nations like Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa has exploded in recent years, alongside a rapidly growing middle class hungry for entertainment that reflects local perspectives and phenotypes. Nigeria’s film industry, dubbed Nollywood, is already home to the world’s third-most-valuable movie industry, worth more than $500 million and bested only by Hollywood and India’s Bollywood industry. Producing nearly 50 movies a week, mostly with low budgets and local actors, Nollywood now churns out more films than its California counterpart. And Africa is not the only place with a growing black middle class with a desire for movies with diverse stories. In this hemisphere, Colombia has 5 million citizens of African descent, and 50 percent of Brazilians identify as black. Hollywood would be wise to court these customers now, as they develop new behaviors and spend newly found disposable income.

While Lee Byung-heon continues to land Hollywood projects, it’s a bummer he continues to get typecast in villainous roles. He’s in final negotiations to play a supporting role in Beyond Deceit, which will star Anthony Hopkins as an executive of a corrupt pharmaceutical firm and Dan Stevens as the young lawyer fighting to take the big pharma company down. Al Pacino will play Stevens’ mentor, while Lee’s role would be that of a hit man. The movie will mark the directorial debut of writer Shintaro Shimosawa, and filming starts in New Orleans next month.
