Rain Dishes On Married Life With Kim Tae Hee + Running Into Kim Jong Kook At The Gym

 

 

Rain chatted about married life and more on the latest episode of SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling”!

 

On the December 27 broadcast of the popular reality show, Rain made a guest appearance as a special MC. While watching footage of the cast from the studio, the star also talked about his own home life with his wife Kim Tae Hee.

 

When asked if he helped out around the house, Rain shared, “I do everything on my own. I try not to get help [from my wife] for most things.” He made everyone laugh by adding, “So I don’t really get scolded too much [compared to other husbands].”

 

Rain also revealed that he cooks for himself at home—but is very strict about needing to eat a full serving.

 

“I buy my own food, in exactly the serving size that I need to eat, and I set it aside,” he said. “So I’ll ask [my wife] in advance, ‘Do you want to eat?’ And if no one wants to eat, I’ll prepare a meal just for myself alone, eat it, do the dishes, and clean up everything. I like doing things that way.”

 

Host Seo Jang Hoon asked Rain what would happen if Kim Tae Hee changed her mind later and asked him for a bite of his food. Rain surprised the panelists by firmly replying, “No, I wouldn’t allow it. No. Those are the rules of our household.”

 

When asked if Kim Tae Hee had ever asked him for such a bite, Rain replied with a smile, “Yes, there was a time when that happened. I said no.” He went on to explain, “I have a specific serving size that I need to eat in order to feel full that day.”

 

 

The hosts later asked Rain to name his favorite dish out of his wife’s cooking repertoire, to which he responded, “I’ll eat anything she makes. Everything she makes is delicious. She’s good at cooking.”

 

However, when they continued to press him for a more specific answer, Rain chose Kim Tae Hee’s shabu shabu, explaining, “She likes to use the very best ingredients in order to cook a good meal.”

 

At another point in the show, Rain talked about frequently running into “My Ugly Duckling” cast member Kim Jong Kook at the gym.

 

“It’s strange,” he said. “On holidays, like Christmas Eve, if I don’t have anything to do, I go to the gym.

 

But there’s always someone yelling loudly on the other side of the gym [as they work out]. When I check to see who it is, it’s always Kim Jong Kook, without fail.”

 

He jokingly continued, “Even on holidays, if I go to the gym in the wee hours of the morning, in order to quietly work out when there’s no one around, Kim Jong Kook is there making exercising and making loud noises.”

 

Rain went on to explain why he was unhappy about running into the fellow singer, telling Kim Jong Kook’s mother, “I don’t want to work out together with him. He and I are at different physical levels. If I had to classify us, he’d be in the heavyweight division, while I’m more a middleweight.”

While Jang Sung Kyu, YoonA and Kim Sun Ho were confirmed as emcees of the 2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, the event’s final lineup was also released.

 

The 2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon: THE MOMENT, which will be held at the MBC Dream Center on Dec 31, has finally taken off its veil. The official lineup includes Rain & JYP duo, Uhm Jung Hwa, Song Ga In, Henry, MAMAMOO, NCT and more.

 

First of all, the legendary duo Rain & JYP will unveil their new song for the first time, while Song Ga In & Henry will present an extraordinary crossover. Uhm Jung Hwa will heat up the atmosphere with her disco party, and Lim Young Woong, MAMAMOO, NCT will also gift their fans with their outstanding performances.

The "2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon: THE MOMENT" has unveiled its full artist lineup. Keep on reading to see whose performances you can look forward to!

 

The "2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon: THE MOMENT" will be held at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan on Thursday, Dec. 31. The line-up for the much-anticipated music festival was revealed on Monday, Dec. 28. The line-up boasts many big names, such as Uhm Jung Hwa, Song Ga In X Henry, Lim Young Woong, MAMAMOO, NCT, Park Jinyoung, and Rain.

 

 

Many people are excited for Park Jinyoung (J.Y. Park) and Rain's performance, as the two have announced that they will release a collaboration track together. Expectations are high and many people are excited to watch the crossover of two music geniuses, who specialize in two different genres. Additionally, there is much anticipation for Uhm Jung Hwa's stage, as she is known as South Korea's representative hot diva.

 

The "2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon: THE MOMENT" will be carried out in an untact way, with no face-to-face interaction between the audience and the artists. This is done with the safety of the performers, staff, and fans in mind. All of the stages were pre-recorded by the artists, meaning groups were unable to meet and interact with each other prior to their stages. This is done to prevent the spread, as prevention is the easiest way to slow down the spread of the virus.

 

"2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon: THE MOMENT" will air at 9:00 p.m. KST on Dec. 31. The music festival will be hosted by Jang Sung Kyu, Girls' Generation's YoonA, and Kim Seon Ho.

 

 

The "MC Gayo Daejejeon" is an annual, end-of-the-year music festival held and broadcast by the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC). The music festival was first held in 1996 as a singing competition named "MBC Ten Singers Match", but MBC has since stopped giving out awards since 2005 and rebranded as the "MBC Gay Daejejeon".

“Everything is so tasty” — Rain praises wife Kim Tae Hee’s cooking skills

Seoul — South Korean celebrity Rain has boasted about his actress wife Kim Tae Hee’s cooking skills.

 

Appearing as a guest star on an episode of My Little Old Boy on Sunday (Dec 27), he got candid about a thing or two on married life with children.

 

Rain, 38, emphasised that he is a husband who does not ask his wife for help when doing household chores. He added that they each cook dishes that they themselves like to eat.

 

He disclosed that Kim, 40, is an amazing cook who “likes to prepare dishes with only the finest ingredients for her family”.

 

Rain said: “I really eat everything she cooks. Really, everything is so tasty. She’s so good at cooking.”

They got married in 2017 and have 2 children.

Speaking about dealing with their children’s love of food, the singer-actor said he recently found the need to cook a lot more than originally intended so that there is enough for everyone. He said: “There is no such thing as a ‘one bite’.”

Rain, whose name is Jung Ji Hoon, is a singer-songwriter, actor and music producer.

 

His musical career includes seven albums (six Korean, one Japanese), 28 singles and numerous concert tours around the world. The album sold a million copies in Asia, and established him as an international star.

[SBS Star] RAIN Shocks Everyone with How Little Him & Kim Tae-hee Spent Money on Wedding Rings

 

 

Singer RAIN shocked everybody with the price of him and his wife actress Kim Tae-hee's wedding rings. On December 28 episode of SBS' television show 'My Little Old Boy', RAIN made a guest appearance.
 

 

During the talk, RAIN was asked about managing finance at home. RAIN said, "Even when we got married, we said to each other that we were not going to care about what anybody else thought of our wedding." He continued, "So, that's why we had a small wedding. Not only did we have a small wedding, but we also didn't exchange any wedding gifts." He added, "Our wedding rings costed 250,000 to 300,000 won (approximately 228 to 274 dollars) each as well." Upon hearing this, the cast members gasped in surprise and repeatedly said, "Really? Wow."
 

 

RAIN resumed, "Besides that, we decided not to get involved in how each of us spend our money." He went on, "I mostly pay for food and things for the family, but we are trying to respect all other stuff that each spend money on."
