THE BOYZ, Rain & more to feature in K pop SuperFest by Sessions Teams with Joy Ruckus Club on Sunday, June 19

 

 

The only thing that can drive these extensive pandemic blues away is a K-pop concert! Fans might remember that during the pre-pandemic era, watching our favourite artists perform, the heart-racing kind of excitement and the sheer joy of being one with the fandom! Well, we might be getting a similar exhilarating kind of an experience soon. Yes, you read it right. Sessions is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with Joy Ruckus Club, the largest Asian music festival in the world, to present K-Pop SuperFest on Sunday, June 19, 2021, at 9 PM ET.

 

The one-day festival is the first of its kind for Sessions and features performances from premiere K-Pop superstars, the absolute crème de la crème of the K-pop industry with an exciting lineup of artists. The exciting line-up includes 11-member K-pop group The Boyz, legendary South Korean pop star Rain, powerhouse vocalist and chart-topping singer/songwriter Ailee, and one of K-Pop’s most exciting rapper and performer Jessi. They will be joined by Gen 4 boy band AB6IX, American breakthrough girl group Momoland, singer and rapper Heize, boy bands Cravity and Golden Child, girl group Lovelyz, rapper Bloo, and DJ Soda. K-Pop sensations AleXa and Kevin (The Boyz) will host the global event.

 

For international fans who are worrying that they might miss out on this amazing fest, no worries, Sessions got you covered! Even as a one-day festival, with Livestream filming taking place at the famed Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul, K-Pop SuperFest will be one of the biggest K-Pop festivals in the world and undoubtedly the biggest K-Pop virtual festival in the Western world.

 

This is the first time that Sessions will be promoting a K-Pop only festival. Event t-shirts, NFT videos, signed posters, and virtual 1-on-1 meet & greet opportunities with artists will be available in the festival's and artists' stores on Sessions. 

 

The founder of Joy Ruckus Club, Kublai Kwon made his name as a pioneer of the Asian American music scene. His first cousin is the late great Shin Hae Chul, who is Korea's first K-pop superstar and creator of the K-pop music genre. According to Kwon, this new festival honours his legacy by highlighting the superstars of K-Pop today.

Hello! Today, I am sorry to tell you the sad news. Due to our off-season internal circumstances, we are not  this week. Rain goes with coriander to eat instant noodles! Koreans praised his tastes: they say that this kind of condiment should not be missed.

 

 

 

Taiwanese people love and hate at the same time the coriander. There has been a wave of controversy on the internet that some people think it is an indispensable condiment for food, while other people say it is a super evil existence. This argument is also in Korea. That's why, most Koreans don’t like the taste of coriander, but some people oppose it, saying that it is quite suitable for cooking. There is no coriander grown in Korea, and it is rarely sold, so it is an unfamiliar condiment. Although, the locals once said that the smell of coriander is like perfume. Korean star Rain is one who approves it. He once showed his cooking skills on the show Season B Season and made a coriander kimchi. This is his favorite. He says that it goes well with instant noodles. One Korean also tried it out with curiosity and tried it. He didn't expect to love it right after eating it, and said, "It can't work without coriander now."

 

Some Koreans even bring the "No coriander" card when they visit Taiwan or travel to China. They do this so that everyone would know that Koreans don’t eat coriander.

 

Most Korean chefs also like coriander because of curiosity. They emphasized that it can improve the aroma and taste of the food. They found that the taste is not as strong as expected thus, they love it.

 

In order to understand the netizens’ preference for coriander, they also conducted a survey. Both Taiwanese and South Koreans were very interested and participated in the vote. Among them, 70% of Taiwanese and Koreans like it.  Chefs also share how delicious coriander is and they emphasize that eating noodles must be put together to highlight the goodness of coriander. The lemon sauce in the Thai hot pot also contains a lot of coriander to enhance the flavor.

Rain吃泡麵必配香菜！引韓國網友嚐鮮大讚：不能錯過的佐料

 

台灣人對香菜可說是又愛又恨，也曾在網路上掀起一波論戰，有人認為是美食不可或缺的佐料，另一派則說是個超邪惡的存在，而這樣的論點在韓國亦是如此，大部份韓國人不喜歡香菜的味道，卻也有人持反對意見，表示相當適合入菜，韓星Rain就是贊成的那一方，曾在節目中大秀手藝，做了一道香菜泡菜，還說和泡麵很搭，韓國網友「書舞歐妮」日前也跟著好奇嚐試，沒想到一吃就愛上，還說「現在沒有香菜是不行的」。

 

台灣曾對香菜這道台式佐料掀起一波論戰，有人支持也有人反對，而韓國人亦對香菜敬而遠之，因為當地沒有種香菜，也很少販售，所以是道陌生的佐料，當地人曾說氣味像香水，吃下去是件很奇怪的事情，甚至有些韓國人來台灣或去中國旅遊時，會特地帶著中文「不要香菜」的字卡，讓外界對韓國人有不吃香菜的刻板印象。

 

來台教授韓文的書舞歐妮原本也是這樣認為，直到在節目《Season B Season》中，看到Rain製作一道香菜泡菜料理，還說跟泡麵是絕配，且在眾多食材中，最愛的就是香菜，另外，韓國知名廚師白種元也喜歡香菜，強調可以提高美食的香氣與口感，讓她相當好奇，原本沒吃過香菜的她，也嚐試這道佐料，意外發現味道沒有想像中強烈，就此愛上。

 

為了解網友們對香菜的喜好，書舞歐妮還在社群上做調查，沒想到台灣與韓國兩邊的人都相當感興趣，參與了投票，其中台灣有7成6的人喜歡，韓國人則是一半一半，各有支持與反對者，這樣的結果讓書舞歐妮相當振奮，認為不是所有韓國人都討厭，她也分享香菜的美味，強調吃麵線一定要搭配，才能凸顯出好滋味，而泰式火鍋裡的檸檬醬，也放了很多香菜提味，讓她大讚是絕對不能錯過的沾醬。

Rain and his wife Kim Tae-hee have two daughters after they got married in 2017. The parents had previously worked together to shoot a commercial.  Recently, it was Kim Tae-hee's turn to start working while Rain took advantage of the holiday to support his friend Lee Si Eon who is currently doing a play.

 

Recently, Kim Tae-hee shot a new advertisement for a baby skin care brand. As the advertisement was revealed, a group photo of her and the girl & a baby in the advertisement also spilled out. They both wearing a white shirt and holding the baby girl, showing a gentle smile, and her mother's love was overwhelming.

 

And Rain uploaded a photo with Lee Si Eon, Kwak Si Yang, and SE7EN on IG, revealing that he went to watch a play of Lee Si Eon.  He was all praises of him and shows his support to him and immediately Lee Si Eon responded RAIN's post with heart symbols thanking his friends support.

韓流天王Rain及演員老婆金泰希，於2017年結婚後育有兩女，兩公婆之前合體拍廣告吸金，近日就輪到金泰希獨自一人開工，Rain則趁放假去撐好友李施彥場。

金泰希早前以媽媽身份為嬰兒護膚品牌拍攝新廣告，隨着廣告曝光，金泰希與廣告中兩名小拍檔的合照亦流出，她跟「女兒」一同穿上白色T恤示人，她攬着小女孩合照，流露出溫柔的笑容，母愛爆棚，儘管相中其眼袋及眼紋亦十分明顯，但仍不影響金泰希的美貌。
