Hjkomo, can you please tell me what is being said at the end of ep 36 and beginning of ep 37. I am dying of curiosity. You are the only one who can help me. Thank you.

KW told his mother to leave Geum alone. Like she lost his father, KW said she's risking losing her son as well, and he says Geum has enough hardship to deal with because of her illness. He tells her about Geum's leukemia. KJ goes off the deep end about KW wanting to marry a sick person. KW begs her to let it go this one time. He never disappointed her in his whole life...even when his father left, he never asked about him so as not to upset her. He asks her to let him disppoint her just this once, saying he'll die without Geum. KJ tells him to go ahead and die then because him bringing in a wife with leukemia is equivalent to him telling her to die (in her eyes).

Nah, not with all she's done. Plus, this was before she found out about Geum's difficulty in bearing children.

Nothing's good enough for the selfish b*&#$.....she would've said the same thing regardless of who KW chose to marry (if it wasn't her choice). She was the same way when KW wanted to marry Min Sun, too.

She'd save everyone a lot of heartache if she just keeled over on her own. repented in earnest.

I was thinking about the stepmother in Family Honor how even she rejected a very healthy yet infertil young lady.

i just finished watching ep 47... love kw who never give up on geum... his expression so cute, when he kicks her sandals...

and i hope hwan can reconcile with her husband...

next week will be the last time i watch this... definitely gonna miss kw & ki...

Ep.47

MJ thanks KW for coming. Geum is upset to see him there and tells him to leave and never come back.

Geum tells MJ that she never resented her for having to give up KW, but if her mother continues this, she will resent her.

KW asks MJ's permission to look for Geum's birth mother. MJ agrees and gives KW the name of the orphanage where Geum was left when she was 1 year-old, her birth name and date.

MJ also tells him he is welcome to visit Geum any time and not to mind her...he must be very angry at her. KW says he's angry at himself because he was the one to suggest breaking up first. He didn't protect the one person he was supposed to protect. He tells MJ that he won't let go of Geum again, and he will save her.

KW goes to find Geum's uncle, but his wife says he's on a business trip and won't be back until the end of the month. He tells her about Geum's leukemia and asks if she knows anything about Geum's birth mother...and she remembers something.

Ki tells Tae Young that he's going back being a doctor.

Each silently worries about what will happen to them because of Hwang and TI.

They hug, and TY's mother comes home. Ki hides his face, so she won't recognize him.

TY's mother wants to know who the guy is, but TY deflects the question by asking if she knows that Hwang is pregnant. Her father overhears.

When TI comes home, he asks what TI's going to do about the situation. TI says he doesn't know and needs more time to think about it.

Hwang arrives at the hospital, and Geum tells her to take their mother home.

KW arrives and gives MJ an update on his search for Geum's birth mother.

KW enters Geum's room to find her with Jun Ho. Geum asks why he came, and he says he's there to spend the night and brought dinner. Geum is angry that he's disregarding her wishes.

KW asks why she wants to make the same stupid mistake that he did. He broke up with her for her sake, because she tormented over choosing him over her family and couldn't bring herself to say the words first. Does she want to make the same mistake and then regret it terribly like he did? Why can't she realize that their feelings are the same? Why does she think what she wants is different from what he wants?

Geum says she doesn't understand a single thing he's saying and disregards him.

Ki and Soo Kyung's bone marrow match tests will take a few more days for the results. Jun Ho's results already came out and he's not a match.

Hwang picks up Hyo Eun from piano lessons and they run into Kim Yoon Soo. She overhears Hyo Eun calling Hwang, "Mom" and is surprised, so she calls Tae Il.

While waiting for the bus, Hwang has abdominal pains. She tells Hyo Eun to call Ki to come pick them up, but Hyo Eun calls Tae Il, instead.

Geum overhears MJ talking on the phone about her birth mother. MJ tells her that KW and she are looking for the woman. Geum gets angry, but MJ tells her how KW said he was never going to be parted from her again and would save her. MJ tells Geum to get back together with him. She knows Geum can't live without him. Look at how she got sick right after they broke up.

TI takes Hwang to the hospital, and the baby is alright. Hwang scolds Hyo Eun for calling her father instead of her uncle, but Hyo Eun points out that she also did wrong by lying about him being in the U.S.

TI backs out on his date with Yoon Soo and takes Hwang and Hyo Eun home. Hwang tells him about Geum, and he agrees to get tested. She also tells him to move on with his life and not to feel burdened by her and the baby. She's over him now and has no intention of holding onto him with the baby. All she wants his guarantee that she gets to raise the baby.

Everyone watches the documentary about Geum on TV.

KW kicks Geum's slippers away when she tries to get up. He asks if she watched the program and says she should have at least sent a text saying "good job" on the filming. He tells her a story that one of his senior's got divorced over his wife's criticism of his program.

Geum asks why he's persisting. She says she's going to get worse bit by bit. Does he think she wants him to see that? KW tells her not to worry because she wasn't that much of a beauty to begin.

Geum says she might die. KW knows that. Geum asks if it's so he can stay beside her for the couple months until she dies then. KW tells her not to talk like that. He says he's there because he loves her. What other reason does he need? He tells her she's a fool - this is when she's supposed to ask him to hold her, not for her to just try to bear with it.

KJ finds out that KW didn't go on a business trip and that he's at the hospital with Geum.

MJ begs her to leave them alone for today, but KJ refuses. MJ tells KJ that it is true that she's barren.

Ep.48

After hearing that MJ is barren and Geum is adopted, KJ has the nerve to ask if what MJ said was true. MJ screams that she wishes it weren't true, so that she could give her bone marrow to save Geum.

KJ goes home, still shocked over what she's learned, and says why it that her fault?

After talking a walk around the hospital, Geum and KW sit down. KW says she should have gotten a single room instead, so they wouldn't have to go out just to be alone. Geum says she came out to take a walk, not to be alone with him, and she smiles at his joke. KW tells her to keep smiling. He loves to see her smile. He also tells her not to cry on her own. If she can't take it anymore and wants to cry, she should tell him, and he'll send everyone out or take her someplace where she can cry next to him.

He puts her ring back on her finger. She says she was going to ask him where her ring was. She promises not to take it off again...except when she has tests, she might have to, so she asks him to overlook that.

KW says she really doesn't listen to him. She got sick even after he threatened her not to. She says it's because she likes him so much. Her body weakened right after they parted., and that hurts her pride.

Geum calls KW Driver Go and says she'll get better for sure. KW says she better...both their lives depend on it.

Geum's nose starts to bleed. KW carries her back to her room.

The next morning, Geum faints. The doctor tells them that Ki, Soo Kyung, and KW are all not matches for Geum's bone marrow.

KW follows a lead on Geum's birth mother, but the woman denies being the one he's looking for.

Tae Il's father meets with Hwang and asks what her thoughts are. She tells him she has no intention of holding TI back from starting a new life and that she's going to raise the baby herself no matter what.

Yoon Soo asks TI if he has a child, saying she saw Hwang and her daughter. TI explains that Hyo Eun is not his biological daughter, but he also tells her that Hwang is 5 months pregnant with his child.

Hwang doesn't get hired in a permanent position because of her pregnancy.

Yoon Soo calls Hwang to meet and asks if she's going to have the baby. She also asks why she found out that she was pregnant so late.

Everyone is at the hospital visiting Geum. Her condition has rapidly deteriorated, and they still haven't found a donor.

Tae Il comes to visit and takes Hwang to eat dinner. There, she feels the baby's first kicks. She thinks it must be a boy because his kicks are so strong.

Geum wakes up in her new hospital room and realizes that she's gotten worse. KW promises to find her birth mother.

The woman KW went to see before calls him. She asks why he's looking for her, and KW tells her about Geum's illness.

It ususally take a couple of weeks before someone decides to summarize a weekend series. I guess they have to see if they like it or if it catches on first.

Does anyone know if MLGA is being extended?

A post in the Well Done thread has the new drama starting on 3/14. Maybe, that's just a typo?

I'll be checking it out, though I don't know if I'll have time to do summaries. Uhm Ki Joon and Kim Seung Soo together...what other reason does one need?

This weekend will be episodes 49 and 50. If it has been extended, that would makes sense with Well Done's supposed start date of March 14th. I don't know if it's been confirmed, though.

Ep.49

Mi Ja and Kyung Woo meet with Geum's biological mother and ask that her two children be tested for a bone marrow match. The woman refuses because her husband and children don't know about her past.

MJ tells KW not to tell Geum that they found her birth mother.

The doctor informs Geum's parents and KW that Geum's condition is close to becoming acute, and they can't find a matching donor.

MJ meets with Geum's birth mother again, gives her a picture of Geum and a tape of the documentary, and begs her to have her children to be tested.

KW asks Geum's aunt to have her children tested, but she refuses.

YS calls Tae Il drunk. She asks if he told her about his ex-wife's pregnancy to get rid of her. He says he thought it best to tell her the truth rather than go on deceiving her. She's glad to know he's thinking of their relationship as seriously as she does.

Hwang visits Geum, and Geum asks her why she hated her so much when they were young. Hwang was jealous because Ki only followed Geum around after she came into the family.

Geum asks Hwang a favor. If they can't find a donor (and she dies), she asks Hwang to take care of their mother.

KW overhears and gets mad that she's thinking that way. If she's depressed and gives up hope, what is left for the ones who love her? He tells her to be strong and show her love for them by holding out and living.

Hwang runs into Tae Il at their office building. He asks about her not getting the permanent position. She tells him she's looking for other jobs, so he needn't worry. She gets something in her eye, and he tries to help, when YS and TI's mother come upon them. YS misunderstands and runs off with TI chasing after her. TI's mother knocks Hwang for secretly meeting with TI and is shocked to find out that Hwang works at that building, too.

Geum's birth mother brings in her son for a blood test, saying her best friend's daughter is sick. But he's not a match.

MJ apologizes to KJ, thinking her thirty years of hating KJ has brought about Geum's illness. KJ says she never stole MJ's man. They only met coincidentally after he and MJ had already broken up. She also says she really didn't know MJ was pregnant. KJ accepts MJ's apology and says too bad about Geum, but how long are they going to hold on to KW? She's only being patient about it because of Geum's illness.

YS calls Hwang to meet. She says she and TI are getting married, so Hwang should stop making instances for her and TI to meet. Hwang asks her age. YS asks why she would want to know that. Hwangs says because she doesn't look that young as to asks so naively for her and TI not to ever meet. She should be old enough to realize that TI is a divorced man and father. Because he is the father of her child, there will be instances where she and TI will have to meet, regardless of YS's connection to him.

Ki calls his parents in the middle of the night to tell them that a donor was found.

Ep.50

The donor turns out to be Geum's younger half-sister, but her birth mother asks the doctor to keep this a secret from Geum and her family.

Geum asks MJ to tell her the story again of when she first saw her at the orphanage. Geum never cried and always stayed by herself when MJ went to visit, but on her last visit, when she was about to leave, Geum burst into tears. MJ brought her home two months later.

Geum's family is notified that the bone marrow transplant won't go through because of the husband's opposition.

Geum's birth mother talks to her daughter sister on the phone, furious that she's changed her mind about donating. The daughter finally agrees in exchange for her mother giving her money for a store.

Geum is put into isolation in preparation for the transplant.

TI calls Hwang to ask about Geum and says he wants to come to the hospital. Hwang tells him there's no need and him volunteering to be tested was more than enough.

KW and Geum talk to each other via phone. Geum thanks him. She wouldn't have been able to endure it this far without him and her mother. She feels bad that all she's doing is receiving from him. He tells her she'll be making up for it later. Firstly, he doesn't eat instant ramen or tasteless food, and he always eats breakfast except for on filming days, so she'll have to cook well for him. He also must have his sheets changed every two days, so she has to do it.

Geum tells KW she loves him and she will survive.

From behind the glass, MJ urges Geum to eat. KW coaches her on exercising and shows her an encouraging video from her students.

Geum is finally released from the hospital. Her birth mother watches from afar.

KJ tells KW to keep his promise to go on a matchmaking date. KW says he never made such a promise to her.

TI's mother is worried about TI. His father says that they can just bring the baby, so she needn't worry. But she's also worried that YS won't accept raising TI's child, so he suggests they have TI's older brother raise it. She says it won't be easy getting Hwang to give up the child, given her nature, but what worries her most is that once the baby is born, TI will be weak and go back to Hwang.

Hyo Eun takes a taxi by herself to TI's office to show him that she's now an elementary school student.

TI meets Hwang and gives her a present to give to Hyo Eun for her entrance to elementary school. Hwang declines the present, saying it will only hurt Hyo Eun. Hwang's been so busy with Geum's illness and work, but now she can come to her senses. Since he's having a hard time letting go, she tells him not to meet her anymore nor even call her without a special reason. She tells him to start his new life, and she will live hers with her child. She also tells him to make sure YS doesn't have any reason to seek her out again. TI is surprised that YS called Hwang and told her to watch her step with the man she's seriously dating.

KW visits Geum in her room and asks when they're gonna "do it." Geum asks, "Do what?" After letting her squirm a bit, KW asks when they're going to get married. KW tells her to go along with whatever he says, even if it's overboard, when they talk to her parents because he doesn't know if her mother will protest.

KW tells Geum's parents that he promised to fulfill Geum's wish, when she was in the hospital, that they get married as soon as she was released. Geum looks at him in surprise. KW asks her parents to permit them to marry next month and promises to make Geum happy. They give their consent.

KW tells his mother that he's marrying Geum. She is surprised that MJ gave her consent. KW tells his mother that when Geum was sick, he realized that people don't have a lot of time to love and live. There's no time to waste. He and Geum have survived a life-or-death crisis, and nothing can make them falter now. The sooner she realizes that, the better. KW is going to marry Geum, and he's not going to waste time waiting for KJ's approval. He also warns her that Geum isn't completely recovered yet, so if she seeks Geum out and throws water on her again or something like that, he will end his relationship with his mother completely. She tells him to go ahead and end it right now. She doesn't need a son like him.

MJ contemplates going to see KJ about Geum and KW's marriage, but her husband tells her not to go if she doesn't really want to.

A fire alarm sounds at TI and Hwang's building. TI runs to get Hwang out and fails to hear that it's just a false alarm, embarrassing Hwang in her meeting.

That night, TI goes to Hwang's house and tells her he realized today that he wants to start over again with her.

It looks like the drama is definitely not over, so it must have been extended.
