@swingbaby- thank you for sharing the info on "baby" and also on how the KSH thread started! I didn't realise that if you change a Moderator the details (for example when you took over) on page 1 change too. Incidentally, this thread was started on 6 December 2009 - which means we have just celebrated 6 years of the KSH thread! Woo Hoo!! I'm so glad his old fans are still around (even if it's just in lurking mode) and I do hope that we'll get to see more activity and sharing here once REAL starts!

@Smiling_Dolphin - thank you and thank you @swingbaby- for letting me know the name of KSH's dog. It makes sense that the dog is called "Beyond" as they gave him the puppy lol. He probably does't have much time to play with him. I remember from the Taxi interview that his mum really loves the dog so she probably spends more time with him than KSH :).
@hwonhwon_stv- thank you for sharing with me what is your favourite role for KSH. I admit I love him the most in You From Another Star BUT I cannot deny how much I also loved him in Moon Embracing The Sun. His acting was phenomenal. I think I probably enjoyed You From Another Star more overall as everything was perfect, the interesting storyline that was both fun and serious and dramatic, great chemistry between KSH & JJH, great music and of course visually it was modern and lovely to watch. I didn't know anything about KSH when I started watching YFAS and I'm really pleased about that because I was stunned how well he played the heart-wrenching and emotional scenes and I became emotionally invested in the story because of the way he acted. By the time I finished watching YFAS and once I found out how beautifully he sings I really liked him and had to watch him in other movies/shows

I will really miss him when he goes to the Army for 2 years. I admire you @swingbaby for being his fan for so long AND for starting this thread about him as far back as 2009!! That's amazing! You must have had a good instinct how famous he will become! You have a good eye for talent!
@yangxu- don't be silly, you don't have to apologise at all! At least you try to post things for us and I really appreciate it. I wish I knew how to post pics or photos! Don't worry about doing any mistakes :).

. It will kill me to wait until March next year to see the full CF... By the way I'm surprised they haven't released any more news about REAL and especially about the rest of the cast... I'm dying of curiosity to see his leading lady (or ladies?) and other support cast.

@swingbaby - thank you for the explanation about "baby" - your post was very cute! I like the fact that KSH is a bit mischievous and I like his sense of fun because he comes across very natural in interviews etc. It's nice because even though KSH is as cute as a baby (he has a beautiful face!) - he has very manly voice AND very strong masculine hands (I love his hands). So he really is "perfect".
@hwonhwon_stv - OMG! I loved your post about the actress from the One World CF having a crush on him! It made me really happy because I liked her honesty! It was very refreshing! A lot of other actresses wouldn't admit to it. I wonder which one said that - was it the one with the ponytail holding a briefcase OR the one with long hair holding a little purse? I would love to know! That actress had exactly the same reaction as we would have if we met him - we would go all red in the face lol...
@willenette - KSH is actually not that tall (compared to other Korean actors - let's say Jo In Sung or Lee Min Ho etc) but he is 180.1cm (so it's still impressive!!). I do prefer it when they pair him up with actresses who are shorter than him (like the ones in One World CF).

@Smiling_Dolphin thank you very much for posting that Beanpole Outdoor 2015 Winter CF (Full Version)!!! That's the CF that was shot in Australia (where I am from). I've seen few pictures from the photoshoot before but I've been dying to see the entire CF - so I was very excited when I saw your post, thank you! (Of course the snow was very fake lol but otherwise it's a very cute CF). I also enjoyed watching KSH play with a dog! I know that KSH also has a white dog (that he received as a present when he did the Beyond CF), does anybody know what's the name of his dog?
@swingbaby - I meant to ask you before - I have noticed that a lot of people call KSH "baby" (how did this nickname start? Is it because he's as cute as a baby?
@hwonhwon_stv- thank you for those cool pics from the One World CF - I'm also really looking forward to seeing this one - KSH looks to die for in that black sweater and jacket! Have they finished shooting that CF or not yet?

In fact I confess that I find it adorable and I can't get enough of it, maybe because I come from a Western culture where manners are dying or non-existant so its very refreshing for me to see someone like KSH who despite being famous and loved still managing to be humble and respectful . I hope he never changes .... -

@willenette - thanks for the Beanpole posts - that's a cute pairing - JIS looks so dapper and mature next to the young Yook Sung Jae and I bet that was exactly the point (to appeal to all types of women lol)
@timi163 - GD looks good (I really do like him in that Avatar pic or maybe its my love of guys in beanies lol!). If it wasn't for you I wouldn't even know who BigBang are (shocking I know because they are so huge!). Now that I know of them I see their names pop up on our SBS channel which displays foreign content etc... And I laughed at that gif - talk about being sprang lol... It's so true that you can never totally get away from Insung (and why would you want to!). Talking of not getting away from JIS - do you know what I did today? I had a long drive home so I popped my headphones on and listened to a little recording I did from TWTWB of the episode where OS & OY went to the snow/resort (where Oh Young surprised Oh Soo with a cake for his birthday etc...). Yes, I know it's sad
but I used to do little recordings of fave scenes from TWTWB and I would listen to them while walking or jogging (it sounds pathetic lol but it allowed me to familiarise myself with Korean language enough so that I could finally separate some basic words without the need for subtitles). It worked a charm and it's such a fun way of learning or getting accustomed to another language. And what better way than hanging onto JIS's every word! Admittedly I haven't watched TWTWB for a while so when I started listening to the recording all these fond memories of the show came flooding back and gave me the warm fuzzies! I think that even if I "stray" from JIS here and there I think I will always come back (but he better get to work on that movie !). -

@ilwoo_aein - don't you think that some of the pics from the One World CF (where KSH is wearing a cream coloured jumper) are reminiscent of Do Min Joo from Ep2 of YFAS? (the famous drunk scene with CSY lol)....

thanks @timi163 - I hope so too, fingers crossed! It's about time lol. And yes, Insung was excellent in Dirty Carnival - I read that he had to do his own stunts partly because they couldn't find a stuntman as tall as him lol..

@willenette - thanks for the post about Dream High - in fact it was the video you posted of "Genie" from Dream High on this thread that made me realise that Dream High has a lot of fun songs etc. All this time I was only familiar with "Dreaming" by KSH. I also enjoyed "Maybe" etc... these songs are fun, cute and upbeat.. As to nailing crying scenes (like the one you described in your post), I have to give it to KSH - usually I feel uncomfortable or awkward when I see a man crying (maybe it's my Western upbringing) BUT I can't take my eyes off KSH when he cries because he looks beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time! And he never cries the same way... in MoonSun he cried by letting it all out whereas in You From Another Star he cried in a "restrained" way which very much suited the character of DMJ. He is a good actor.
@minkijung - don't worry KSH won't become addicted to gambling. He is a good actor who always tries to do his homework and prepare well for his upcoming role. I am devastated though that it will be SOOO long before we see the movie! And I do hope for KSH's sake that with all these investors (and no doubt product placements) the movie will still be of good quality and have some depth. I am more concerned that the Director will be good and that he will bring out the best out of KSH.
@yangxu - thank you for all your posts and for sharing with us all the pics and products from your trip. AND you are NEVER too old to be a fan of KSH - it's not like you are planning to marry him so appreciating someone's talent and/or movies is timeless and ageless! I'm sure KSH feels the same way and it would make him feel good to know he has fans of different ages :).

@mary-ann - I will always think very fondly of JIS and Song Ji Hyo together because Frozen Flower was the first movie that I saw with JIS (and fell in love with JIS!) and in fact it was my very first Korean movie so these two will always have a very special place in my heart :). Plus I love both of them so I know I would enjoy seeing them together in a movie or a show but I think they have some sort of a "rule" in the Korean Entertainment industry where they try not to pair up the same couples again in a show. Otherwise we would all love to see JIS with SHK make a drama together again :).

@minkijung - oh yes, I totally agree! Those calendar pics of him lying on the floor like that are very enticing! I love photographers who know how to capture his "manly" side.
Yes, @hwonhwon_stv you are totally correct, apart from coming across "manly" and "mysterious" KSH also pulls off the "boy next door" look perfectly. It's easy to imagine him at home all cosy and relaxing (those pics are cute where he is wearing polka dot pjs and eating a cake!).
@ilwoo_aein - I finished watching MoonSun last Sunday. I'm so glad I watched it. As I said before I never thought I will watch a sageuk but I did it for KSH lol and it made a lasting impression on me. It wasn't just KSH though because I also thought that Jung II Woo played such a charming character so well and of course I loved the way Jung Eun-Pyo and Song Jae Rim also portrayed the characters. It was also very cute to see all the BTS and to know that everyone got along together so well on the set. For me things like that always enhance watching a drama. I found a little fanvid on Youtube of KSH making a CF for Beanpole with Jung Eun Pyo and its SOO cute! Han Ga In is very beautiful and I loved the cute and romantic scenes between Hwon and Yeon Woo/Wol but personally I do probably prefer KSH acting with Jun Ji Hyun or with Suzy as somehow when I watch KSH with those actresses I probably do sense more "chemistry" (if that makes sense?) but maybe it's just me. And DMJ & CSY is my favourite couple :). I am really curious what lead actress will team up with KSH for REAL. Oh yes, you will be very proud of me because I have now bought the MoonSun DVDs, they should get here next week! (It's an early birthday present for MYSELF lol).
@minkijung - were you the one who said that you love to watch KSH in Dream High? I don't blame you, the show looks very cute. I have only seen bits and pieces so far and lots of fan vids (and of course KSH-Suzy CFs and BTS). I also enjoyed watching bits of the Dream High Concert. But I was really surprised to discover that there is a big age gap between KSH and Suzy and that she's so young. All this time I thought they were the same age. And it's a shame that YesAsia no longer has Dream High in stock so I can't buy the DVDs from them and I think the only way I can see the entire show is on Youtube (I hope they have episodes with English subs).

@minkijung - thank you so much for the links and the amazing vids. I love the Dazed & Confused photoshoot. I have seen those pics before and for some reason I always thought they belonged to the Elle photoshoot before! The photo of him wearing a blue coat and gazing intently at the camera is stunning. I think it's safe to say that KSH can pull off many different looks because in some shots he comes across sexy and manly and in other shots he looks very cute and innocent and then again he also looks good and relaxed in his sports gear (like Beanpole). Maybe that's why he's such a good actor because he inhabits his character whether t's for a movie or a simple photoshoot!
@ilwoo_aein as you know I also love him with his hair down like DMJ. But putting his looks aside I miss seeing him in a new movie or a drama. Is it true what you once wrote that we won't be seeing REAL until 2017?? I know they will only start shooting it early next year but I didn't realise they won't show it until 2017 (for us in other countries this means even longer....)... I think I'll die if I have to wait that long lol...

@minkijung - OMG! That pic from the Japanese version Calendar of KSH on the floor with his bare feet against the wall has got to be the sexiest pic I have ever seen of him!
After I saw it for the first time I kept on doing other stuff like cooking and working and then stopping what I was doing to look at it AGAIN AND AGAIN lol... All those calendar pics are fantastic! I do love seeing KSH all dressed up in a suit looking very handsome BUT those casual calendar pics are very appealing as well. There is something really cute and cosy about him sitting on the kitchen bench with bare feet wearing denim and a checked shirt and also wrapped up in a quilt! I want that calendar lol.... Talking of great memorable KSH photoshoots - I really love the pics he did for Elle in London in 2015. The photographer captured his sensual side very well. ALL pics from that photoshoot were great but I am especially fond of this one pic of him from that shoot where he is sitting on a couch looking straight at the camera and covering his mouth with his hand, (the kind of pic that when you look at it, you go weak at the knees lol). I might find that pic and put it as my Avatar! I wish I knew how to post it here (although I never know which pics you are allowed to post or not so that you don't break any copyright rules so that's why I never put any pics here lol....)

Sorry, I have been away for a little bit but I have not been neglecting KSH - in fact I have been engrossed in watching TMTES in any spare time I had. I only have 2 episodes left to watch. I will really miss it! I know I said it before but KSH's acting is simply exceptional in it. And even though we posted about KSH's voice before many times, I thought about a comment that @swingbaby made once that she couldn't sleep because of KSH's voice (when she was watching TMTES)! Same with me lol
I never get tired of listening to his voice! The only thing I will not miss from TMTES is the kisses lol.... after you see YFAS and the Red Carpet kiss you can't go back lol... Also - @willenette - sorry I looked back at the last few pages of the thread (on what I missed!) and I wanted to comment about that disastrous Chinese-fan meet a few weeks back!! I was shocked and surprised that something like that would happen! Just as you I was really not impressed how they handled it! But who disappointed me the most was Keyeast, as his agency it's THEIR job to make sure something like that doesn't happen. They have been a good agency for him but they also made a lot of money from his success so they should have checked and triple checked that everything was organised properly. The people who organised the fan meet sound like amateurs.

@everythingnothing!!!!!!! Wow! How is it that just as I was away you appeared!!! I missed you girl and I was very chuffed you mentioned my name! ..... I thought you have totally abandoned us lol and "moved on" from JIS :)... and it's so true what @timi163 said - a lot of us might be into other celebrities (myself included) but we somehow keep coming back here. I started reading the top of this page with excitement about JIS' new project only to find out few posts down that it's not happening afterall with delays and budget constraints etc. Such a shame. I remember the excitement when he was getting ready for IOIL. I know a lot of people didn't like it but I enjoyed being on board for one of his projects from the very beginning for the first time. I loved our discussions and trying to guess what the show will be about and how will JIS tackle his character etc. I miss that now.
@everythingnothing & @timi163 (and anybody else who wants to answer!!) - I know we have this discussion quite often but what would be your ideal role for JIS? I doubt he would want to do any romantic movies/dramas for a while. I admit that him playing a prosecutor sounds very appealing - I probably would prefer a drama to a movie (but only for selfish reasons because we would get to see him more often and for longer lol).
@timi163 - SORRY OUT OF TOPIC BUT.... but it made me really happy to read that you loved the Big Bang concert!!! There's nothing worse than anticipating something only for it to be a flop so YAY that it was epic!

The only thing I can think of is that after KSH comes out of the military he can use his new found knowledge/experience from the army in his future acting projects (KSH strikes me as a person who will make the most of every opportunity and will turn it to his advantage).@ilwoo_aein - yes I am crazy for re-watching episodes/shows all the time but I just can't help myself lol.. BTW KSH looks cute at his ZIOZIA fanmeet (it's that smile of his!)

@timi163 - I also wondered whether JIS has had the same stylist all along. Watching some old pages in this thread I do prefer his style now (some pieces of clothing in the past have been a bit cringeworthy lol) and I have always liked the minimalist approach with men (you know..."less is more")...and JIS makes the simple things look very stylish.

@ilwoo_aein - thank you. I will DEFINITELY continue watching TMTES. It's usually a good sign for me when I re-watch the same episodes before continuing watching the next one because it means I can't get enough of the show. And even though curiosity is killing me what will happen next I love "savouring" every minute of the show. I never rush through shows that I love lol... When I was watching YFAS - I re-watched episode 17 about 5 times before I saw the next episode lol AND you would have laughed if you saw me watching episode 21 for the first time, I kept on rewinding it to the beginning half way through the episode because I didn't want it to end (denial on my part lol) and needless to say I re-watched this episode entirely about a million times since the show ended
. @mabelle147 - it never ceases to amaze me how "innocent" KSH looks in those Producer pics...:)

@minkijung - after your comment I did some searches and came across the "allkpop" site with some negative comments - is this what you were referring to? Unfortunately, this always happens - regardless of who would have won the Daesang - there would always be other fans who would be disappointed about their favourite actors not winning so this doesn't surprise me. @5678winwindeal_at_gmail.com_stv made a very good point. I bet that there are negatives comments about winners every year. I haven't seen Kill Me, Heal Me (although I have heard how good Ji Sung was in it) or the Producer so I cannot really comment on the acting in those roles but of course I was excited about KSH winning. As you know I am just getting to know KSH and all his work and so far I have been really impressed with everything I have seen from him.
It doesn't worry me that those comments will affect KSH's career because by next week people will have something different to talk about BUT what worries me more is that KSH will be hurt by those comments. We know from interviews that he checks the internet and youtube etc., so it worries me that he will come across those comments and he will be upset by them. I really wish we could spare him from this (if I was his Manager I would hide his computer so that he doesn't read those comments! HA!). As we all know acting is extremely important to him so I can only imagine that he will be hurt that people think he didn't deserve to win the Daesang. Even though KSH has been around for a while now and he would have experienced both adoration and criticism before but he is only human so of course he will feel sad.
@ilwoo_aein - I completely agree about KSH's acting in TMTES - I know I said it before but I am absolutely blown away how amazing he is in it! I have just seen episode 10 and I cannot move to other episodes because I keep re-watching this one - I have seen that episode 3 times already lol. I am totally in awe of his acting and even though I haven't finished watching the show it is also leaving a deep impression on me too.

OMO!!!!!! Just before going to sleep I thought I'll check the update on the awards and couldn't believe it!!!! Our KSH has won again, WOO HOO!!!!! I am SO SO happy for him! Watching him so emotional during his acceptance speech made me cry as well, I literally couldn't stop crying!! It also made me realise that I'm so happy that despite his huge fame and popularity KSH is still so humble and NOT stuck up!!!! He cried because being recognised for his acting means so much to him, we all know how much effort he puts into his work! CONGRATULATIONS KIM SOO HYUN.... we are so very proud of you!!!

@willenette - where can I sign up to work for JIS lol? That was indeed a very generous gift and I'm glad to hear that JIS treats his staff that well. Talking of Managers, has JIS changed his Manager over the years or not?
@vannie05 - as to your question about JIS and various blogs/accounts about JIS - I'm sorry, I'm probably the worst person to ask because Soompi is mostly the only place I hang out for my Korean actors' fix lol. This thread used to be quite busy with regular updates and photos on JIS but it has quietened down somewhat. I think JIS has got an Instagram account but I'm not sure about any others. I'm sure once JIS starts his next project things will get busy again. For now all I can suggest is "googling" :).

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! And if anybody here doesn't celebrate Christmas then please accept my wishes for a lovely holiday break! I am wishing everyone a peaceful Christmas/holiday. I feel exhausted, it's 1.21am and I am "over" Christmas lol but I felt bad that I didn't exchange Christmas wishes with everyone here. Even though we don't know each other very well - we share our love of KSH here and that's what keeps us "together"! I hope this makes sense, it's so late and I should be going to sleep..
I had a quick look at the past posts and I can't believe I missed such important topics like "claiming" KSH's body parts lol. I know the thread has moved on with other topics but I just have to put few comments of my own lol... @swingbaby- you are so spot on about his lips/mouth - I admit I just stare at his mouth when I watch any of his movies or TV shows - his lips are amazing and so unusual! @yangxu - yes his ears are very cute! I also like his hands, his fingers are slim and shapely (he should play the piano) and also very masculine. I have to stake a claim to his voice - I never get bored of listening to KSH - whether he is singing, talking or even yelling a lot (like he did in MoonSun) lol... I could listen to him all day long!
I am very excited that the REAL project is finally moving along. I'm excited about the lead lady too. I hope she is a good actress and that KSH and her will get along and that REAL will be a good quality movie. I know how important that is to KSH.
Finally, @yangxu- thank you for all your awesome posts and pictures. I really appreciate it
