So...speaking of the Chil Sisters... <3
I found a source for low-quality hardsubbed videos of the entire series. I also found high quality (for a show that old) video files. And I'm willing to buy the Japanese DVDs to rip subs to get timing files. I am NOT willing to transcribe the entire 80 series
. Anybody here ever do any fansubs/transcribing and would be willing to work on this project? This drama is SO GOOD it deserves a decent version. Plus, It's Park Hae Jin's first series and he is so good in it.
PM me if interested. I've love to get 10+ people so that we're each only doing 8 episodes tops. The more people the better! Transcribing is tedious. I'm also planning on using the Japanese subs to fix the original subs (I'm fluent in Japanese) and the subs I found are old Hawaii broadcast subs - they are sometimes overly simplistic. So if anyone is fluent in Korean and/or Japanese and wants to QC, that's great too.

Hi everyone!!!
I've been absent this past week - I ended one job and started another on monday, so I've been pretty busy. I'm also planning a vacation I've wanted to take since I was ten - I'm going to Scotland in 2 1/2 weeks~!!! But I'm back now, I just have no idea how I'll catch up, hahaha. Missed the forum while I was gone! *runs off to watch ep 8*
BTW, I'll join you guys for livestreaming if we have an episode tomorrow...

Now, here's where it all gets more interesting to me -
In Queen In Hyun's Man, the original method of travel is created by a third character - the Ginseng friend. It was her love for KBD that acted like a protective talisman and allowed him to travel through time when his life was in danger. BUT it was his love for CHJ that kept drawing him back.
In W: Two Worlds, as best we can tell so far, it is quite likely that YJ's father is the "creator" of the method of travel - we just don't know how yet. It's - as best we can tell - largely through the monitor. But KC and YJ's emotions are absolutely what is pulling them together.
In Queen In Hyun's Man, there are rules to travel - go forward when you're in mortal danger, go back when you read the incantation.
In W: Two Worlds, there are rules to the travel as well - going inside the rules are less clear to us yet (but we know there is a rule, the drama makes that clear), and coming out there has to be a "to be continued" -It looks like KC is pulling her into his world at this point.
In Queen In Hyun's Man, when KBD re-writes time he "erases" the future where he meets CHJ. BUT in doing so he creates a paradox - in order to have erased that future, he HAD to have traveled to that future. In the drama, it's clear that the way the paradox works out both futures are simultaneously true. The future where KBD meets CHJ both happened and did not happen. At first, only KBD remembers it - as he lives in the past, his memories were not affect by changes in the future time-line. But, because of CHJ strong emotions for KBD, when she meets him again it triggers those memories and she starts to experience the memories of the erased timeline. - This seams to be where we're at now in the drama!!!!
In W: Two Worlds, starting from the bridge incident, KC has started changing his "timeline" by re-writing the actions with his newly discovered free-will. This creates a paradox as well - in order for that defining moment to happen - for him to reject suicide so strongly that he developed a free will, it had to have happened. He had to have jumped. What he did was create an alternate version of his story, and both versions happened - and so he both jumped into the river and did not jump into the river. The memories of the alternate version were buried, but being next to an W-1 person - YJ - has triggered those buried memories and KC has started experiencing memories of the alternate versions of W-2.
In Queen In Hyun's Man, at some point the talisman breaks permanently, KBD is stuck in the past - seemingly forever. CHJ has completely forgotten him, because her memories of the alternate timeline have been erased by his actions in the past again, and he isn't there to trigger those memories this time. BUT you can't completely forget a love that strong...even if it hasn't "happened" in the version of the future you're living in. Without spoiling everything - the ultimate message of the drama was that love can be stronger than time, than the rules of mystical time-travel, and stronger than fate itself.
In W: Two Worlds, at some point the World-traveling device will probably fail completely. And the rules of their worlds will keep them apart. One or both of them may not remember what has happened - probably KC. So, will love be stronger than W-2's creater, stronger than the pull of the "story, " stronger than the rules of inter-dimensional travel....and even stronger than reality itself?
I predict that their love will be stronger than the rules of their realities.

OMG, that means my original original prediction is probably true!!!! OYJ will make it all a dream, making their love something that happened in an "alternate" reality - but for that to be true, it had to have happened, creating a paradox by which both realities are true! KC will, as I predicted, lose his memories of OYJ, and then they will have to be triggered (somehow)....
Because we're in the middle of the show, it's likely that he will remember (around episode 12/13?) and they will be together again briefly before the ultimate breakdown of the bridge between worlds...
KKKYYAAAAAAA!!!! I'm so excited for the upcoming episodes....

Yeah, this happened to a bunch of us - I lost 40% of my points as well, but in my case that was only 700 points ^^;;
6-7 of us from different threads asked about it in the support/question thread. When I commented, I mentioned other people I knew had lost points, like @nonski and @ilwoo_aein. Anyways, a mod said it was caused by an update that got pushed through w/out soompi's ok...they said that it should be fixed in a few days *crosses figures*

Hum...that's a possibility. However, I think it will go like this:
1. Date scenes, ending with OYJ cutting her finger
2. OYJ disappears and comes back
3. KC is worried by both SH's situation and OYJ lack of invincibility. He tells her to forget him and sends her back to the real world.
4. Masked Man comes after OYJ in the real world possible end of episode here - this would make a good cliff hanger and I could see the rest taking an entire episode.
5. Either OYJ goes back to webtoon and tells KC what happened, or KC some how realizes that OYJ is in danger and "calls" her back. He realizes that only he can protect her from the Masked Man, and the only way to do so is to "find" him (prove who he is and that he's the killer of KC family)
6. OYJ and KC start working together on the mystery - possibilities include OYJ asking dad for clues as to who it might be, and/or trying to draw in info on the killer. Also maybe some sleuthing in webtoon world as well.
7. Guesses for next conflict(s) - finding the killer/killer attacking, SH's interference, dad comes back from vacation, prosecutor cause trouble for OYJ to make trouble for KC

Something about not quoting images. I know there are newer users visiting the forum, ones that aren't as familiar with soompi rules, so perhaps there has been a mix up, if that is the cause. Hope the mods can help you troubleshoot.

That's a good guess, except I HAVEN'T been quoting images - maybe I've done it once or twice, when I forgot, but that's it. And I wasn't given any warning points - there is no warning in under my profile. Just between one login and the next, my reputation points dropped by almost HALF.

In the next ep, it was revealed Kang Chul and Yeon Joo was already married, and then because they were thinking about getting a divorce, so that was why YJ left the rooftop without leaving a word. (Cr: DC)
Someone on PTT (Taiwanese forum) mentioned the fact that the dead body with a ring might be because Kang Chul was already married then…

I used ASV video remaker - it was what I found when googling around for something, haha. But it didn't take too long to figure out, and it worked perfectly once I got the hang of it.

OMG THE CUTE!!!!
But....only one episode this week!!!!!
Guys - I have an idea....
Let's not lose steam this week - for however long until the show is back on schedule. Let's focus on making TONS of gifs, MVs, phone/laptop backgrounds and more. Plus coming up with LOTS of theories.
Yesterday I figured out how to clip video, and upload with a matching sub file to youtube. I know I can figure out gifs as well. Let's all make lots of cool stuff to share here...un-official contest for most awesome W pretties... If you're really not great with graphics, share theories, translations, ect. Or find things on tumbler to share...but let's keep up the energy

Wild Romance had a lot of slightly over-the-top physical humor, and a down-right frustrating 2nd lead played by a girl-group member who couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. I think a lot of people were turned off but that - and it's not a perfect drama, it's weaker than some of my other favorites. But it' still in my favorite list because for me, there is some magic here, and I've re-watched it twice. For one, Lee Dong Wook was so endearing here - I prefer him in Rom-coms - and Lee Si-young was juts adorable as a tomboy die-hard sports fan...and the fact that LDW was a baseball player for the RIVAL team just made the whole thing hilarious. Because even after she started liking him, she still took pot-shots at his team!
Plus Lim Ju-eun (currently playing the rich brat in UF) was absolutely hysterical here as LSY's bestie and roommate.
INR3 is such a strong drama - acting, script, music, directing - it was the best of the INR series, and a seriously under rated drama imo. Chemistry was amazing between the leads, and this was one drama where I loved the entire cast - I was even a fan of the 2nd lead, Wang Ji Won, who was a more of a frenemy to Kim So Yun than a serious enemy.
MBC probably has a sports channel...but it might also depend on what events are scheduled for wed/thur. For instance, if Korean athlete was a favorite for an event on those nights, the ratings would probably be horrible for any dramas airing then...so MBC would want to postpone.
Funny story - I was in Korea for a Winter Olympics. At the hostel I was staying at, I became friendly with the owners and hung out with them a few days. We were talking about which sports we liked, and I mentioned I like to watch Apolo Ohno speed skate. OMG the REACTION
. The entire ROOM started going off on Apolo Ohno, and what a terrible person he was, and how he STOLE the medal from some Korean speed skater, and how the ENTIRE country hated him.... It had been like 10 years since the "event" that caused Apolo Ohno to be a universally hated name in Korea, apparently, but no one had forgotten....Oh, and the event - Ohno winning gold after the Korean skater was disqualified for blocking him - at the time, Ohno was a teenager in his first Olympics - but for throwing his hands up, he earned the hatred of an entire country. One company in Korea actually sold toilet paper with his face on it . Korea takes their Olympics VERY SERIOUSLY.

Yup~!!! I also adore Prosecutor Princess, Personal Taste, Sungkunkwan Scandal, Wild Romance (no one agrees with me on this one
), I need Romance 3 (I've watched it like 4 times), My Delightful Girl Chun-hyang, Coffee Prince and My Girl. And others. But these are the ones I've re-watched and don't get sick of . Twenty Again and Descendants of the Sun might get added as well....need to see if they can hold up in a re-watch.
...As a brief aside, this is my favorite scene in the entire I need Romance 3 drama. Possibly in any drama, ever. It kills me every time. It's not a squee scene, but it's so powerful, and I relate so strongly to it ^^;; hahaha. I love all the romance/tension/squee of W - it's quickly becoming of of my favorite dramas - but as a 30ish women who hasn't had a date in 7 years, who is working and trying and just losing hope in any kind of happily ever after...this drama, this scene - it just gets me every time.
but....BACK TO W
I don't think it's certain that episodes are getting delayed yet, but it's very likely. I was in Korea one Olympics...it was insane, everyone was so hyped about it. So I'd be surprised if the W episodes WEREN'T delayed.

To prepare myself for the possible 3 week wait, I've finally started watching my Director's Cut blu-ray of Healer. I finally got one a few months back, but was too busy with grad school and job interviews to do it justice...now I'm watching (SOOOOOO GOOOOOD - Everyone, together now: "Ohhhh~ My Love").
But...still....how do I wait????
I know I can't make Healer last 3 weeks~!!! Heck, I'll be lucky if it lasts ONE WEEK. hahahaha
Maybe I'll re-watch QIHM and IHYV next....

W—Two Worlds: I have no idea where we’re headed, but I don’t care; the ride is exciting and unpredictable in the best of ways. I love how his very existence transcends time and space, but I love even more that it’s the regular ol’ heroine who seems to be the linchpin; I keep thinking she holds the ultimate power in this universe, and just needs to figure out what it is and how to use it. Probably. Maybe. What do I know? This show could change everything in the span of the next episode.
and this is the power of this drama over our thinking:
Uncontrollably Fond: I was juuuust starting to consider dropping this, but this week dug a claw in my heart and dragged me back in bleeding. Maybe the light, upbeat promos were the drama’s undoing, because rom-com cuteness isn’t actually the name of the game, and anyone expecting a cheery romance was in for a disappointment. But now we’re in heart-wrenching melodrama waters, and I’m drowning in delicious angst. Teeeeears. Also, Kim Woo-bin looks like he’s really dying onscreen and I want to jump in and save him, W-style. Can anybody draw a cure for cancer?

W—Two Worlds: This show frightens me a little and throws me into my own existential spiral. Everything feels unfamiliar because this show is breaking a lot of rules, but it’s executed with style. Basically, it’s my favorite rollercoaster ride: stressful, satisfying, and exhilarating.

W—Two Worlds: I… This… I can’t… Ohhhmygod. What is this drama doing to my mind?? The writing has proven to be original and unpredictable, so as I start every new episode, there’s already an overwhelming amount of tension, even with scenes where Chul and Yeon-joo are just smiling and talking. I never know what bomb the writer’s going to throw next and I love it. More than that, I love how much discussion the show leaves out in the open. Should Yeon-joo care about Chul when he’s not even real? What if he is real? How is he real? It creates so much great conflict and I can’t wait to see how the Writer-nim handles their relationship. I love the two characters both individually and together (gosh, they’re so sweet together), so I’m ready for them to merge their two separate stories into one incredible love story.

W–Two Worlds: The only show I’m keeping up in real time so far, and it’s SO fun to watch. The story is what sucked me in, but I can’t ignore the beautiful work Lee Jong-seok is doing so far (those eyes! Those tears! Those trembling lips!).

I've been trying to find out what kind of new scenes got added into the Director's cut. Were they noticable? News articles talked about a "re-edited" finale, but not even a picture has been released about what that might mean. Is it worth the $300-400 dollars to track down a copy of it now?
