  1. I really don’t thing Jun Woo ever had real feelings for Cha Young. At best he thinks of her as another prize to win or lose in his war with Vincenzo. He just wants to better Vincenzo. Even the suit he wore for the inauguration was the same brand as Vincenzo that the laundry guy shrunk and ruined.

also the caramel vs normal popcorn gave such married couple vibes. But I don’t think that there will be a kiss scene until episode 18 or 19.

Do you guys know about how to decipher the Instagram account clue? I actually found this code, but i don't know what to do with them

    JHS: 3237 lebab

    CMH: 6370 reywal

    JJW: 2442 qma

    HCY: 2220 pvu

    VC: ejbwpmp 2649

I couldn’t understand the instagram clue at all! The first one seems to unscramble babel not sure about the rest!

I think the piano girl is an ethical hacker and will get the file back. Also I think the Buddha statue in the gold treasure is a key part of the series.

  3. The ‘corn salad ’ really made me crack up too. Too funny. And the intelligence agency guy jumping him for a hug was lol too. Also the Park Sae Royi ( the hairstyle is spot on) and CLOY reference.

I think the hug test was the reverse of what Cha Young said. She wanted to test his reaction rather than her own. That’s why she kept shifting to capture his facial expression but he managed to keep a straight face each time she looked at him. The difference in their expressions while under each other’s sharp gaze and while not, the switching of expressions, was like a little mafia game of their own,  just between the two of them ♥️

she’s still worried about him going back though as she said you can start your own mafia family here at the plaza. Lolzzz.

But seeing today’s episode I’m not sure what they have in store given there are 9 more episodes and not 5. I hope they have enough developments in the script and that the pace doesn’t slow down. And of course I hope that the main leads land up together and neither of them is killed.

  4. My dreaded ending is that it’s either Vincenzo who is the ultimate owner or even worse it’s Cha Young and she had never crossed over to the good side and Vincenzo and Cha Young don’t land up together!

I think one of the tenants being the ultimate boss possibly would be easier to accept :P

  5. Considering the series has 20 episodes and not 16 the Twitter theories look plausible that Jun Woo is not the real boss.

at this point the chef, piano girl, mr Hong coming back from the dead, or the building owner or even Vincenzo himself all seem plausible.

also with that Insta quiz page who is the person on the roof?

  6. The strong words they keep saying to each other like when she said that she would pay him back one way or another or when she foreshadowed that we met suddenly and will part suddenly are making me sad already. And all this when they are not even together yet.:heartbreak: I hope the writer doesn’t kill one of them.

also I cannot understand whether Jun Woo really likes Cha Young or not. He observed her attachment to Vincenzo today but I still couldn’t gauge from his reaction.

  7. I just love PJWs character. He’s bf goals ♥️ He’s aggressive, almost geeky at times and cranky but his confidence and dedication is just superb. He’s like the definition of loving with all your heart. And I think he’s the opposite of many bfs in real life who are spineless, his mental strength is so unwavering. His character has work and relationship ethics. He sticks to his commitments and I liked the way he was so sure he did not want to date anyone else as it would be wrong to him and the other girl too . Looks wise JCW was always hot ;) but his acting in this series is like perfect and the range of emotions just wow.

Although controversial and considered toxic by many,  I like LEOs character because she was resilient and wanted to improve and she was brave enough to accept PJWs help. She did not let her introvert and timid self get the better of her and withdraw into a shell and push PJW away. She was willing to change. I think a lot of people have hurt other people and been in a bad space themselves but they don’t want to take the bull by it’s horns like she said she can now do with PJWs help. I think to cling on to hope it’s really necessary to accept help whether it’s from a partner, a friend, family or a counsellor. The willingness and action to improve are both important and she displayed that. Also I really do think she loved him. In the scene when she sees him at the building opening I felt she really was excited to see him and she wanted to go up to him and hug him and talk to him about all the arrangements she’s made. She just missed being with him and having him around and talking to him . It was more than just need or an attraction. Even when she searched for the ring in the water, the restaurant scene when she cried seeing him frustrated and how she touches his ring the love feels real.

both the leads their acting is brilliant - the restaurant drunk scene, the car mirror break scene and now the terrace scene all were acted so so well. I like how the love, acceptance, nervousness, sense of relief all the mixed emotions are reflected when PJW sighs after kissing her in today’s episode and she also says that it feels like their first kiss. These three scenes I think both the actors forgot themselves and really lived as the characters during those moments...the emotions felt so palpable and real.

more than anything I love the series because despite the chaotic, crazy and technologically connected but socially and emotionally disconnected world that we live  which greatly hampers our relationships, they made it through. It gives everyone faith and hope.

  8. Is a preview for episode 16 posted? Please can someone share it?

I just hope that the way they have tied out everything so well until now, when PJW and LEO get back together it’s captured well. It’s almost a perfectly written screenplay especially with many long scenes which have displayed depth, finesse and great acting. Hope that the ending does justice to the entire series so far.

  9. After today’s episode there are still a few questions left:

    - if the lock necklace has any significance. Vintage jewellery used lock and key as mementos when a couple loved each other but were forced to be apart. The key was kept by the man and the lock

was with the woman. In this case PJW has the rings. It also symbolises ‘locked in love’ or commitment which might be why PJW bought it when they got married and were happy.

    - I wonder that why the house that PJW is building is mentioned so often.

    - And of course the Rini and her boyfriend need to face and resolve their personality clashes and the fact that she doesn’t want to get married at all.
    - im not sure how the actor who plays the cop is caught up in the entire story either.

    - Will Rara and her husband make an appearance again?
    - will PJW bash up the ex boyfriend

    - and of course who’s filming this?

  10. The LEO character arc felt so complete today. The build up to the duality between LEO and ESA seemed so complex and difficult to reconcile but the way they unravelled her character was so beautiful in its simplicity. Also I like the way everyone accepts her and doesn’t use terms like crazy, bi polar or imposter syndrome. They made her feel accepted. Also it validated her coping mechanism and made her feel loved and healed. Healed enough to give her strength to find her true self.

And PJWs arc was literally the best he went from obsessed psycho to being hopelessly in love to accepting and giving her space, freedom and truly listening to what she wants. It’s really selfless love. He truly behaved mature when it came to that crucial point. That’s why I feel that despite all the crankiness the character is truly has inner strength and that’s why he can love LEO despite it all.
but the most wonderful thing is the friendship between the three of them. It’s so pure and untouched, them waiting for LEO to return. It’s as if the kindergarten kids in them still love each other selflessly, innocently and with a pure heart - accepting and all giving. Truly precious and beautiful ♥️

  11. *Please read after watching Episode 13*

I wonder what happens next, will PJW and LEO they tell others the truth or spin stories? also I wonder if PJW saw the rings when he carried her to the car and later his room? Cant wait to see what happens next!

in today’s episode during the car conversation PJW asks LEO how does she behave when she’s in love? Is he trying to tell LEO that though she copied/impersonated the real Seon Ah it was more about her appearance (hair, tattoos) but the way she behaved openly, candidly, did everything with all her heart and stopped saying no/being scared or apprehensive was actually her true self cause she was in love? That the disguise actually set her free to be herself? Also Is he trying to convince her that they were and are still in love? If so the writers are just wow ♥️

  12. So far liking this series, but I do think this is one series that’s pretty much not for everyone. LEO is a very misunderstood character. Also I do believe that she is meant to be with PJW.

The reason is that she was in shock pretty much when she met him. Had literally no where to go, no boyfriend, no career basically no hope from any aspect of her future. And Seon ha was her escape mechanism. According to me she did not mean to cheat PJW and she was and is totally in love with him. Having said that the break up left her so weak and so unsure of herself that she couldn’t get herself to tell him the truth. She isn’t being inconsiderate to his feelings but she doesn’t have enough self confidence, self love or even self consideration to believe that he can love her normal self. It’s the break up that has left her that way. She’s scarred and to such an extent that the healing would take years. Before the break up, she might not have been the most spontaneous person but she was good at what she did and they said so that her resume and YSA’s resume was similar. She had some confidence in herself and she had hope to look forward to

a future - a good job and a long term boyfriend. She might have not been as lively and likeable as the original YSA however she was not wallowed in self pity and low confidence like her broken from a break up self.

why do they belong together - is because PJWs character is actually strong, self confident and he fell in love with her like crazy. He’s just one of those personalities that you will turn and look at when they enter a party. There’s something assuring, reliable, attractive and very confident about him. It’s really sad that he’s been so badly impacted by the break up with LEO. But even his post break up self - he has a innate strength and presence and doesn’t give up, even LEOs roommate said that he’s cool. It’s this innate strength that did not make him lash out and tell everyone the truth about her right away. He’s the only person who has the courage, strength and love in him to reconcile LEO’s two personalities, understand her hurt, accept her and support her through her healing journey.

Yes, It’s not his responsibility to heal her but it’s also true that she’s too lonely even with such good friends to heal by herself. We are all humans and as much as it is true that we need to heal ourselves, it’s also true that there are points in our life when we need a hand to get out of a pit. That can come in the form of any human and in her case it’s PJW. Call it destiny’s compensation for the intense pain it’s given her.

hope this helps you all to see LEO in new light.

  13. I think where start up investors are concerned the point that the show is trying to show us that they can ask the right questions but it doesn’t take much to be not personal and not aggressive and keeping it as civil as possible. No one can force them to write the cheque and a No to invest is still a No whether they say it harshly or normally.

the problem is that many (not all) start up investors take their own reputation too seriously and think of ventures as a badge against their own name and it’s a ego trip whether they were right or wrong with their judgements. what’s worse is some even become mentors and angel investors to better their image when they are clearly here for themselves and are harsh critics rather than frank guides or sherpas.

They are trying to bring out the importance of a more humane way of dealing with people. it’s not just project proposals, demo days or feasibility studies or other fancy jargon it’s actual humans working at the end of the day. And being frank is one thing, being frank with your best friend is perfect because you both are friends are on an equal footing - it’s a friend to a friend. In a start up the footing is not equal it’s an investor talking to a newbie and the power, status, money and supposed experience/knowledge dynamic is skewed in favour of the investor.

I don’t think they want to blame JPY per se but want to highlight the larger issue since start ups are the theme and premise of the show. I don’t think JPY is to blame either but it would be great for his character development if he picked up a more humane approach than a win loss ratio (that he quoted to the SamSan guys in the initial episodes). Like Suzys character said there are less hurting words like disappoint etc.

  14. The girl on the swing is a metaphor for being creative and finding solutions that help people and don’t necessarily focus on money she’s a metaphor for qualities talking about the greater good about humanity and helping each other. She’s pretty much symbolic of the Pay it forward concept too. The father had these qualities and the fathers acquaintance thinks that the daughter would too. Injae so far hasn’t displayed that quality since she doesn’t seem to see the humanitarian side of job losses. Dal Mi did give Do San’s project a shot which spoke of welfare of the visually impaired. The writer that’s why has shown that she knew about her grandmothers illness only after she chose the project not before so it was not an influenced choice either. The fathers acquaintance is looking for a grown up girl who thinks ethically and has passion to change the world for the greater good one solution at a time, who looks at the broader view of the world beyond bottom lines and funding rounds.

For Injae to be that girl On the swing she will have to think of her father as beyond the chicken dinners image and understand what he wanted to achieve and how he wanted to change the world with technology. she has to appreciate him for the foresight and the vision he had. I think she will eventually see her father for what he was and she will develop his qualities it’s just that she’s not there at that point yet.

  15. In Jae first pretending to be the girl

on the swing (episode 1 clearly shows it was Dal Mi with the dad in the swing scene) and now pushing Dal Mi to a money oriented project which was opposite the dads acquaintance expectation was so underhanded. I was expecting a poised and graceful Injae this is  disappointing as she’s now evidently the typical antagonist.

I’m Team Nam Do San and JPY like by 51:49 percent ;) , but Yes Nam Do San was irritating in the scene at Dal MI’s house and behaved out of character completely. I don’t know if that was the intention of the episode since breaking the glass was also out of character for the resilient Buddha? Or maybe they wanna show that Dalmi brings him the passion+purpose+drive+ambition+Competitive spirit that he lacked? He gave away a gold medal but is fighting like a kid for Dal MI’s attention.

to me the kettle symbolised the tea boiling under the surface and almost about to pour over/spill. I think all the protagonists have a certain notion of life, values/ethics and goals that are now at boiling point And being tested. How far are they willing to go for their goals and how will the emotions bubbling and pouring out from under the surface hinder or drive them. I think a start up is equally IQ, EQ and PR skills and that’s what they need to balance.

  16. It’s really disappointing that the senior (the dads acquaintance) supports In Jae as the girl in the sandbox logo cos she actually abandoned her father and his surname. It was not a simple choice to choose her mom. It was materialistically driven :heartbreak: But from episode 6 I’m guessing that she repented her decision and that memory did mean something to her so it makes sense now!

For Mr Han I feel that he’s not really attracted to So Dal Mi as of now. It’s more like a sentimental and emotional attachment to the concept of family, belonging and indebtness/guilt for the past. It’s also the history of being alone and still feeling lonely after all the success. He seems to be at the point of life where he’s evaluating success vs that need for longing for family and loved ones to share it with and wondering why does the exceptional success still feel empty. Having said that he did feel a connection to those letters in his lonely life. So It’s a lot of emotions mixed but it’s not really just love for her that he’s feeling right now.
for So Dalmi and Nam Do San I think their ethics and basic personalities are very similar that’s why the attraction besides the looks of course. And work wise they compensate for each others flaws. Many couple company founders are opposites that somehow complement each other. Though it starts with a lie their bond is growing due to the real them coming together. There might be hiccups when the truth is revealed but I think their bond is just meant to get stronger.  ❤️

  17. Unpopular opinion but I expected  JK and HH to have an open ending. The scenes they had together, they were happiest with each other and there’s no other way for them. Also HH was the only one who can handle her, understand her and was hopelessly in love with her. Maybe that was a compensation from fate for losing her mom early.

Also, I think JK changed after the passing away of the director and would improve for HH in the future. I think her actions were more bad than being a bad person. She was just too messed up to think straight. She was stubborn and She mixed up her professional and personal emotions of being unsuccessful and staying away from HH while in the US and her consolation from JY. I think she did behave extremely badly but I think at breakpoint humans can behave like that. I think her behaviour was her messed up self expressing herself in a spiteful way just like the PJY used to spiral into depression and have to take tablets. Not everyone can have the clarity of thought that Song Ah has and different people display their inner turmoil differently. Although it’s no excuse for her behaviour. At the end of the series, the time away from HH and JY and her grandmothers passing away did make her intro spect. I also think Song Ah had a positive influence on her. She did realise that what she did with PJY was a mistake and what she had with HH was real.

PJY and JK were an ill fated relationship and even if they would have gone ahead the financial angle would have burdened PJY and I don’t think JK would have had the same connect that she did with HH and the relationship wouldn’t last. She just wouldn’t be able to understand him and did not have the strength or patience to love the troubled him. Subconsciously even JY knew that and that’s why JY never crossed the line with her while he crossed every line for Song Ah.  Subconciously that’s why I think he was attracted to Song Ah because she had the strength to fight and protect her love for the violin through the initial rain and  performance scenes in the first episode even though at that time he still had feelings for JK. It was her strength, empathy and kindness that called out to him way before he realised it. She was the panacea to all his ills that he was searching for since a long time ♥️

  18. The ending was just perfect♥️ Especially the couple rings scene.

I think the reason CSA is the narrator is that like her senior at Kyunghyu said that she cares, she has a knack to understand people and she has been in a situation where she has been able to somehow reach people and have conversations with them on what they are feeling. She’s connected to all the characters, be it even HH and JK who are not her friends. She really can empathise beyond personal feelings with all characters. She is a part of the story and yet her capacity to empathise makes her a fair and objective observer.

Also since the series is based on Clara Schumann and Brahms she has been through the entire spectrum of emotions herself  - she identifies with Brahms through the unrequited love for her violin and later Clara as the love of his life to PJY when he plays the song he dedicated to CSA.

One thing I observed and liked is that at one point CSA compared her love for the violin and PJY in the same manner. But life isn’t like that each love has a different meaning and failing with one love or in one aspect of our life doesn’t mean the same result again. So though she had to quit the violin she could work it out with PJY. And though the violin did not love her back in a way and the happiness playing the violin was short lived , PJY was hopelessly and completely in love with her and she could find happiness with him for good. ♥️

Look! Can I hope Joon Young will play the Moonlight Sonata?

    @minsunie

Brahm's motto is "Frei, aber froh" (Free but happy). :D

The initial interview by the writer (if I remember correctly was linked by someone around page 24 of this forum) mentioned that the drama leads up to PJY’s birthday (assuming it’s translated correctly!). Even the initial poster is all 6 of the actors next to a piano and cake. If that’s correct and it’s PJYs birthday, the Moonlight Sonata will be a full circle from CSA to PYJs birthday and it would be perfect ♥️ Hope we get to see  the happy ending we have been waiting for! Honestly seeing the writers love for parallels and a tendency to tie out all scenes in the drama I think it will be a happy ending.
