The backstory for Chanmin's photos revealed. JK who arrived with the other oppas was excited with the bench being the perfect place for couple event. When Somin arrived, JK mentioned about the bench and persuaded her to sit with YSC. Somin who was excited said, they (Chanmin) have to kiss  at least, they have to create noise. JK who saw Chanmin together immediate became the paparazzi photographer. Indeed, he is really a good a photographer. When Somin saw the photos, she went to staff and excitedly said "it came out! The main article for portal website came out". And she is right. News about her IG post trending on Naver.

 

The short summary for that scene is, JK and Somin excited about the bench is perfect for romantic event and YSC acted as an accessory.

You shouldn't take what Somin said so seriously. Just last year, after the SBS Award, in ep they did fortune telling for YJS, she said she and YSC should work harder to get the couple award (even said maybe they should kiss). But the members didn't force Chanmin the whole 2022.  If anything, they went so extra on forcing the neighbour's LL. Somin herself didn't really try to create LL moment with YSC.  Most of the time, what she said, just a spur of moment.

To me, Chanmin LL doesn't really bother me that much because at times, they can be really funny. The teasing of Chanmin nowadays also bearable because  we already saw the phase where YJS and Haha forced the LL down to our throat so much that Somin and YSC couldn't even innocently talking without either two tried to create LL atmosphere (late 2019). Whether they are going to force this LL in the future, we just wait for it to happen first before worrying about that. Nothing weird about the members having lunch with staff as one time before, Somin also had lunch with Bopil and JSJ. As for JK's force LL... I think I don't have to comment more about this. 

 

But out of this LLs, I think you should see how these LLs affecting to JK and Somin themselves as they are the important one to our ship. Other people don't.

Chanmin 

1. Somin can play along with it but when people start to get too immerse in it, she will declared that they are just friend and they are doing it for show.

2. JK seldomly tease them. After 2020, he never explicitly (cmiiw) called YSC as Somin's bf. He never encourage Somin to seriously consider YSC. But he did this around late 2019 (e.g MUD episode where JK, Haha and YSC called Somin). Even so he encouraged Chanmin then, he also inserted himself as a third wheel and became a possessive person to his doll (YSC). 

3. Now, if YJS tease Chanmin, he just kept quiet. But when Somin complimented YSC, he also joined her. It is as if two adults (Kookmin) complimenting a very well behave child (YSC) and they adore this child so much. You can see this in Kookmin MBTI video. Both talked about YSC as he is a (their) child. 

4. When the teasing got too far, YSC became restless and subtly observed JK's reaction. 

 

 

JK's force LLs

1. His reaction to these LLs is a benchmark on how you evaluate his real self.

2. He always always always opposed when being tease in these LLs, whether it was in RM or other shows or occasions. He denied, he said NO, STOP IT, THEY ARE JUST FRIEND, started to shout and got physical when the teasing persisted. He always shows his opposition in all these LLs. He always consistent.

3. So, when he is okay being tease to Somin, you know something is happening.

4. He laughed when YJS asked if he likes Somin (479). Kookmin just laughed when YJS said Kookmin suddenly announce their marriage (483). Both laughed when YJS told them to start dating (486). In other words, JK is so okay being tease with Somin. He seems doesn't mind people link them together as he didn't try to stop the teasing. Somin is special to him and she is at different level compare to other ladies. 

5. JK just laughed when YJS teased Somin with him in ep 610. In fact, he laughed so loud when YJS said Somin thought of getting married to him. A stark comparison when he was teased in LL in ep 609.

6. When is is consistent in opposing being tease in LLs, you know that is his real self, not a persona for variety show. However, when he react so abnormal, so not himself with Somin, you know she is special, a  'potential life partner' special.

@Itsbrutalouthere i notice that. But rather than JK ignoring her, it is more on Somin sticking on every oppas except him. She said in JSJ's YT video that she has her guideline on to whom she interact during each episode to create varieties.

 

Which is very interesting. You can see every episode who is this other member was, but that member never JK. She never intentionally emphasis her chemistry with JK. Or if she ever did, YJS was so fast to separate them.

 

Note: For me, it is not really weird they didn't interact much in latest episode as they (i assume) spent time together after the SBS award party. The party was on late Saturday night, they filmed the episode on Monday. YJS and JSJ left early so JK had to stay back. JK said he should filmed Somin and SJH drinking, meaning he was on the same table as them. For Tiny's IG, he sat with SJH. So, I assume JK and Somin sat together.

From latest episode, PD showed another scene of JK became Somin's photographer. While the oppas kept on complaining, only JK who patiently indulging her love of having her photo being taken. And he ONLY indulge her.

 

Edit: After watched the episode with sub, Somin complimented JK as he takes nice photo. For me, it is not weird for Somin to ask him to take photo of her as she always show her excitement about photoshoot and her closeness to the oppas. But what interesting is, his indulgent to her. From Somin's IG and RM filming, there were six different occasions where JK took the photo for her. and we won't know just how much more he took behind the scene.

Somin moved to stand near the treadmill while JK was at the other side of this area (Somin was there too before she moved here)

 

The next frame, JK also stood there. It means, he moved there immediately as Somin was complimenting YSC. The runtime was 60 seconds. YSC already started to run when Somin complementing him. And YSC still running when JK stood next to Somin. 

 

The camera was focusing on YJS who was talking. Somin talked to JK and he entered the camera frame as leaned closer to her to hear her better. I don't know, this scene just feels warm to me.

This. What I'm worry for. Misinterpreted the subtitle. Thanks for correcting me. I know there was no subject (Somin or members) in that sentence. Furthermore, from the whole ripping tag game (of course I shouldn't conclude an hour game that edited into 15 minutes airtime), JK didn't really chase other members like crazy (if we compare him to his Spartakook era) but mostly just caught any unlucky one who happened to be near him. That was why, between him and Somin alone,I thought what JK said to Somin has double meaning.

Do you guys notice this sentence of his? 

"I chased you like crazy, and you're letting me go?"

 

Somehow, I feel this sentence has double meaning. The 'chased like crazy' part. If you watch this episode, Somin's team had a strategy to win. No chasing involved between JK and Somin. Also, if this excuse was just to confuse other members, JK and Somin was in a team, no chasing involve between them.  JK also didn't really chased other members like crazy as he just caught anyone near him. We can assume that this sentence wasn't insinuate about him and other members. So, if no physical "chased like crazy' happen between Kookmin this episode, can you blame me if I'm being delulu about him chasing her in romantic way?

 

Note: I just love when they talk, they always look into each others' eyes. Always.

Been rooting for Kookmin since late 2019 (wow, it's almost 3 years!), several times I questioned myself. Am I shipping them based on reality or am I just delusional? I mean, what's the point wasting my time rooting for a couple that obviously fake. But, when I try to persuade myself that I'm just seeing things between them, hints after hints revealed. And these hints aren't just between JK-Somin on RM filming set but involving their personal life and people around them.

 

1. Personal life

- JK himself revealed that they drink together a lot (and JK choose not to drink). They spent some of their private time together yet non of the members mentioned this.

- JK said Somin went to his house with JSJ and YJS and the oppas never bring up this story to RM 

- Kookmin MCed APAN Music Award yet again no story from this event 

- Somin really really wants to go to LA and JK gave her his approval to tag along.

- So obvious JK is Somin's English teacher 

- Somin named JK X-Oppa on her phone 

- Somin complained that JK always left her message on read but JK denied it. In other words, he gives priority to her.

- YJS said Somin thought about marrying JK and both Kookmin just laughed and no denial at all from JK.

- JK mentioned Somin several times on Gym JK.

-JK specifically mention Somin's name at his LA concert, not once but twice.

 

2. Members

-Multiple times I see he subtly separated Kookmin while camera were rolling but left  when it was rest time 

An example of YJS (and all members leave Kookmin alone during rest time. Ep 558.

-Never brought attention to them even however suspicious the situation between Kookmin when he is a LL maniac 

- divert the attention by suddenly dragging LL to the scene 

- YJS brought up the topic SJH guesting Gym JK or he and JSJ came as guest but none whatsoever about Somin. It was Bopil who mentioned about evil editing and JK who mentioned about Somin wanted to follow him to LA

 

YJS 

- As Somin's LL partner, multiple times he became the victim of an upset JK. JK literally smacked him with doll for admitting (for game of course) that he loves Somin.

- When it comes to Somin, it is so obvious that YSC always checked JK's reaction.

 

JSJ 

Few times he accidentally gave hints that Kookmin is a thing (eg. He asked JK what will he feel if for once Somin will chose him in ep 522)

 

Staff

1. Purposely chose footage from weird angle just not to show Kookmin who sat or stood next to each other 

2. Rarely assigned them in the same group 

3. Downplay Kookmin suspicious moments with editing implying those were just normal sibling interactions 

4. Chose footage without JK and emphasized on YSC when YJS teased Somin about her BF 

5. They were so good at editing Kookmin interactions out that I saw lots of comments people quite shocked at how super comfortable Kookmin were during the MBTI video. They thought Somin and JK will be awkward.

6. Footage from recent Monday filming showed that staff purposely separated them.

 

Handsome male guests

I made a compilation where JK obviously upset when Somin being friendly or excited to handsome male guests.

 

If things that I saw just revolve around Kookmin at RM filming set, the possibility for me just being delusional is high. But people around them also involve. So, how is this just a delusional?

Also, I doubt it was for pushing the LL. I mean, since that episode YJS and Haha said they gave up on that LL, it is practically non existence. If it is not for LL, the only reason left is because of Kookmin.

This is video recorded during RM filming yesterday. At 0:31, you can see JK pulled Somin to stand right next to him (before that Somin was slightly in front of him). Shortly after that, Jihyo who was watching YJS-JSJ bickering accidentally looked at the staff. She immediately changed place with Somin. 

 

We rarely see this in RM episode due to editing. But the intervention from staff really happen in Kookmin interaction while filming. Same as when the group preassigned by the staff (2020-2022). It is so rare for Kookmin to be in the same group. Also, if JK-Somin did stood/next too each other, they always subtly checked staff's reaction.

 

A question to ponder. If Kookmin are just mere colleague, why staff went extra hard to separate them? After all, what's the big deal if they stand or sit next to each other.

@Bluelagoon246 Reminds me of the episode where BtoB suppose to come. YJS said, among the members, Somin only can depend on him. And Somin added, also on SJH. JK suddenly got upset saying how they (aka him) cherish her.

 

It could be my imagination but few times I see that JK wanted to help Somin with this kind of things (helping Somin with game gears, wipe cream from her, brush off flour from her, helping her got up when she fall), but he couldn't as most of the time, they were not in the same group.

Somin just being polite and greeted  Kim Dongjoon. It was YJS who imply Somin got excited. And petty JK suddenly commented on Somin's jacket. This oppa... That jacket is cute though.

Somin just made an innocent comment just how Byun Wooseok looks lot younger than his age. And he does. However, what JK heard is Somin thinks that she and BWS don't have big age gap .

 

Note: Somin is technically single. Yet JK got upset multiple times just because Somin got excited or shy because of handsome male guests. Yes, he was upset. This is not the case of him tried to block Somin to interact with guest just to tease her like YJS did. And the only reason for him to have the right to get upset because they are a couple.

This scene. PD edited this scene as Somin got shy because JK teased her with Sung Sikyung. But from my Kookmin lens, I think she tried to coax him. Look at YJS who observed them from the corner of the rooms. This LL maniac oppa didn't comment anything about this scene.

And it irks me all over again. Because? PD obviously edited the scene and discarded a large chunk of video from from the group photoshoot session.

 

Reason why I think PD edited because of Kookmin

1. The aim of the episode is for the photo session. Which is, the photo session should be the main focus. But if you notice,

- members wore make up - enough screentime

- members' solo photoshoot - also enough screentime

- group photoshoot - so short and PD showed the end result but not the process.

2. PD instead allocated quite long screen time for the finding object mission. You can feel that this mission was quite draggy 

3. I'm confident if the mother-baby characters obtained by male members, or LL couples, PD will show all of it because it is a source for the members to tease. Imagine the oppas complain because they force to sit on other's lap. How disgusting will they react. Or how the LL couple being tease by other members...

 

What irks  me

1. I want to see the process! Hahaha. I really really want to know how Somin positioned herself on him. 

2. From Somin's costume (where the blanket wrapped around her upper body), it's hard for her to move her hands freely. 

3. So, the only way for JK and Somin to pose like that without messing with her costume is only by JK lifted Somin in princess lift style and positioned her himself. 

4. In other word, I want to see this!!! I want fo see this awkwardness, this shyness, this sweetness!

5. I can imagine the awkward face of the Oppas watching this scene. Just like how they were when JK adjusted the brown sofa for Somin when they visited JK's

6. And look at JK's right hand. He gripped her leg (above her knee). That's totally not a hand manner between oppa-dongsaeng. Putting his hand there is one thing, but gripping it is another.

@NoonooBu Just a rough translation from my understanding. Haha asked JSJ what did the delicious food he usually eat when playing golf. JSJ said, nothing, just some bread. JK said energy bar, Kang Jaejun said watermelon. Haha was shocked since they ate so light. JSJ said, they didn't have time to eat while playing golf (as they played in a group and group behind them also waiting for their turn).

 

Haha said, he and Somin did imagine what would they have while playing golf (footage from previous episode when Haha said about having Somek (soju and beer) while playing golf)

 

JK: if you and Somin playing golf together, you have to imagine this. You won't see each other's face much.

 

JSJ said, you only see each other 3 times on the golf course. In the beginning, in the middle and at the 18th hole.

At the Myeongdong Cathedral

1. After JSJ asked the tourists and they answered "PEOPLE"

 

While everyone started to move, Somin seemed to wait for someone.

 

I assumed she waited for JK as she suddenly had an English lesson with him. They walked together under the same umbrella (you can see the umbrella tie wrap was at the outer side of Somin's head). How I wish we can have a long camera shot for this scene.

 

This English lesson to me is very meaning full. JK said at his LA concert that Somin really wants to go to LA that she started to practice English in their Kakao chatroom. So, when I see this scene, JK patiently taught her, it is really heart warming. I mean, she's practicing English with LA as her goal, and seems like JK is her English teacher. 

 

JK stopped when Somin stopped. He maintained the umbrella over Somin's head while Somin bragging on what she learnt . I mean, Somin wore raincoat. That is so sweet of him.

 

 

2. When the members had to take picture in front of the Cathedral for second time

 

The members started to leave the cathedral. Somin was at the front of the group while JK was way at the back.

 

JK caught up to her and they walked down together. In other words, he put an effort to walk faster because he wanted to walk with Somin.

 

 

At the chicken skewers stall

There was a space enough to fit a person besides YSC. But JK chose to stand there, behind Somin. 

 

Next scene, both still stood together but at different area. Two different spots at the same stall, and both still together, especially was a free space for a person during the first spot, there is no way it is a coincidence. They wanted to be in each others' company. 

 

Note: Why these small little details are so meaningful? Because JK willingly did all those things for Somin. He also showed that he wanted to be in Somin's company. And JK had showed on many occasions how he acted when he was unwilling or uninterested.

Scene when JK had to distribute his diamonds to other members

He hadn't even close the door yet but he already talked about Somin. I mean, just how eager he was to talk about Somin that talked about her as soon as he entered the room. Take Haha and YSC as an example. They entered the room, stood in front of the baskets, only then they talked about the members that they wanted to give their diamonds to. With that as a reference, I hope you can imagine how eager/excited JK was to talk about Somin.

 

JK: She is a valuable member.

 

I think it is sweet of him to verbalize this in front of camera. Yes, all members are valuable. No need to mention about it. But for him to say it in front of camera emphasis more just how valuable Somin is (to him). This reminds me of his vow in ep 500 (I should take care of Somin).

This make sense. There is no way YJS going to let JK and Somin chatted like they did on the boat ride. Since the mischievous members were in other team, JK literally focusing only on Somin. He responded to everything Somin said. I mean, he cannot make anymore obvious about this. 

 

On the other hand, it is nice to watch their natural conversation, just the two of them, without any disturbance from anything. We rarely see this (only MBTI video came to my mind) as they never in the same team (post 2020) in couple race. JK responded to however weird or nonsense Somin's questions or topics were. He showed his patience in entertaining her chattiness while other oppas already drain out. In fact, he played along with her weird thought (e.g monster in the river scene)

2 years ago, a couple accidentally photobombed a group of tourist.

Recently, the couple and the group of tourist happened to be at the same sightseeing spot.

Of course this story was obviously created by my bias mind. It is just, in both occasions, it is so  obvious that Kookmin was separated from the members. 

 

Jokes aside, somehow I feel that JK and Somin kept on getting back at each other starting from breakfast until the monorail ride.

4. She brought up the story she and YSC adopted 2 'children' after the Punishment Trip.

8. Somin tried to join the conversation by talking about her experience in Yeosu with YSC.

Today's episode is really nice. The episode itself is fun and Kookmin interacted a lot too. One scene, when the members reached at the top of the hill, while the members took photos together, JK snapped photos of Somin alone. It is as if a tourist couple coincidentally met a group of other tourists. (Of course YJS and JSJ kept disturbing Kookmin )

 

 

Note: In this episode you can see how JK is very bias towards Somin. He only responding to Somin though they were in a group (of 3)
