Both JK and Somin said they won't reveal they are in relationship until they are going to announce their wedding. Simple... No announcement means they won't get married any time soon. Just to let you know, Koreans usually held their wedding during spring or autumn. Now already spring. Just wait until autumn.

 

Nothing good by announcing they are dating if the wedding date is still far away. Public intervention can ruin a relationship.

Today's episode, during opening, JK came with new hair cut. So the members talked about it. Then , JSJ suddenly said JK might be have a girlfriend. There was a short silence among the members after JSJ said that. But JK didn't really deny it. But what funny is, it was YJS who went said few times that JK doesn't have a GF and immediately changed the subject. Usually, when it is not true, YJS will join the teasing. But the fact that YJS forcefully denied it (more that JK himself) shows that it is true. 

 

Who? Well, few months ago, he offered to buy a Rolls Royce for a lady he she marries him...

JK requested  a Somin badge from her because he wanted to use it as a reference coz he wanted to draw her portrait for his poem to her.

 

JK: I will draw you very beautiful.

 

Then, Somin gave him one. JK looked at the badge and loudly complimented her "Wow, yeppuda~ (wow, so beautiful~)"

This. If you watch today's episode, they literally avoided each other. Or more on Somin avoided JK almost all the episode. But while pillow fighting game, they chatted just fine. Nothing change about their interaction. So, they, on purpose decided not to interact with each other in front of camera.

 

Also, during opening, YJS, JSJ, Haha talked about her leaving RM, JK said almost nothing. JK is among the oldest members, it is his place to say something (teasing, encouraging etc) about Somin's departure, but JK just mostly stayed quiet. You can compare to how he acted when members teased LKS's leaving RM. 

 

As for the MAYO song, the lyric literally reminded me of Kookmin in late 2019/early 2020. JK who was sweet and cheesy to Somin. JK who stared at Somin with soft gaze. JK who was so happy interacting with Somin. Of course all these made her heart flutter yet also made her confused. Did he really likes her or it is just her delusion. Maybe that's why in the song, if it is just her illusion, she asked him to not to be good to her. She didn't want to raise her hope only to get hurt later.

 

But, from Shim's part, we know that the man indeed likes her and he won't hide his feeling anymore. I saw the significant change in Kookmin interactions after the vague phase. JK vowed to take care of Somin in ep 500. Somin make a hand gesture to JK during Be Mine song (Infinite) in a bus ride. The sudden intense skinships between Kookmin after she came back from her break.

Somin will leave RM and her last recording is on 30th October. As sad as it is, I think good news about them will come sooner than I expected.

 

Edit:

This was a clip from JK's Aussie concert last June. At 1:07, JK announced he will get married soon. I thought, this is just him saying he wants to get married like he always did. But from today's news, I pretty confident that this wedding will happen sooner than I expected. Kookmin met in RM. Now, RM also their largest obstacle if they are going to get married.  So, out of nowhere Somin announced she will leave RM is a huge sign that good news will come soon.

Actually he didn't even care about riding the van as he later volunteered himself to take taxi to the next location. Also, JK is not the type to joke around about this kind of thing for the sake of entertainment. So, most likely he raised his hand because it is the true thing

I'm pretty confident what JK said was 편하게 (pyeonhagae) -be comfortable. The context of the scene is, the red team only won small amount of money and this small amount needed to be divided by 5. They played rock paper scissor to determine the turn. Somin won the right to be the first one to take the money. So, JK told her 'Sominah, be comfortable'. Meaning, he told her to be comfortable to take just how much she wants. In other words, even if Somin take large amount of money, JK won't get upset with it. After all, JK always get upset when one of his team member being greedy and left nothing to the rest. JK ensuring her here.

About fortune telling (FT), I think it depends on who is the PD. 

 

2017 (Chulmin PD) - Have FT episode

Every PD has different style and interest. It maybe just Hyung In PD doesn't like that kind of thing. It could be just simple as that.

They've been avoiding choosing each other since 2020 actually, around ep 516 onwards. Most of the times, if they were divided into group, it was predetermined by staff. And JK and Somin almost never in the same group.

 

When the members were given to choose their group members, Somin almost never chose JK. JK rarely had the chance to choose as mostly it was the girls who did rock paper scissors. But JK also never chose Somin.

 

But in rare chances when Somin chose JK, she always gave excuses why she chose him. I mean, it is JK we are talking about, choosing him by default the person wants to win. No excuse needed. But Somin did to justify herself (like recent episode where she chose JK over Kanghoon). 

 

Why they go so far to avoid each other in front of camera?  Because, when they are together, their natural interaction will expose. Their comfortable skinships, their natural conversations, JK will be more smiley and laugh a lot. He becomes more playful and tease Somin a lot. He is willing to do things that he normally refuse with Somin (e.g the married couple skit in the van, laughed so loud when YJS teased about marriage to Somin).

 

If Kookmin frequently paired up, viewers will slowly notice just how special JK's treatment to Somin. Why do you think general viewers still never see these special treatments and just brush it off as JK and Somin is very close to each other? Because Kookmin's effort on avoiding each other while filming.  There must be something huge happened behind the scene that Kookmin (plus the members, the staff) go all out to cover their interaction in front of camera.

@MandelBrot That was JK's friend's (the Groom) wedding. The groom is not in Somin's circle of friend. To begin with, there is no reason for the Groom to invite Somin to his wedding.

Ep 671

1) During the quiz session, how Yookook pair determine whether Mongdol pair wrote the real answer or wrong answer? By examining  Somin's expressions. Yookook showed just how how they understand Somin just based on her facial expressions, her smiles, her blinking eyes. Sure, this seems nothing but for them to understand her that much means they really observed her. Which involve lots of staring, full of focus on little things that Somin did, analysing Somin's feeling in various situation. For YJS, it is understandable why he understands Somin as he is very observant person. That is why he is a very good MC because he always observe the members/guests to bring the best/funny side of them. For JK? Well, so obvious he only gives this special attention to Somin.

 

2) When Chanmin strictly denied when V confused if they really dating. The rest of members laughed or smiled. It's quite funny with the way how swiftly Chanmin denied it. Except for JK. Seems like he didn't find any humor in this. The same situation in the Family Outing episode, Somin fell in love with YSC's fried chicken. YJS teased that Somin can eat it forever if she marry YSC. JK didn't joined in this joke. Instead, he got prickly and started to argue with YJS. Yet, that Oppa laughed happily when YJS said Somin can ride JK's car if she marry him.

Anyone watch Gym Jongkook latest vlog. JK stayed at Capella Hotel. Coincidentally, Somin also stayed at the same hotel (I'm assuming at least half of her trip) when she went to Singapore last year.

Sure. This can be just him who wants to experience staying at the same hotel. But I find this very interesting as why he chose to stay at this hotel. This hotel is quite far from Changi Airport. This hotel also quite far from Singapore Indoor Stadium (venue for Korean Zombie's match). Of course Singapore is a very small country and far here only just 20km. But I feel like he went all the way to stay there when there are many hotels are much nearer (e.g Marina Bay)

The moment YJS/Haha tease and hype up Kookmin for the sake of the show and make Kookmin a business couple, that means there is no chance at all for them to be real. In other words, all the LL in RM is all business, no chance for the pair to a couple. YJS said in one episode, the members able to tease the loveline couples because they know there  is no chance at all for them to date for real.

 

For me, I rather YJS/Haha never purposely hype Kookmin up in the loveline way. Because, by that, I know Kookmin has chance to be real.

From RM Naver Video, YT, DC Gallery, generally, they view Kookmin as a very close family. Somin as the bubbly and cheeky younger sister and JK as a very indulging older brother. . They don't  really ship Kookmin in romantic way as RM has so many history about LL and most Korean general viewers decide to avoid any form of shipping pair. But most, they like Kookmin  Sibling chemistry as Kookmin is really a fun pair and some even hope PD shows more of them. No matter how suspicious Kookmin actions are, they just brush it off as an interaction between a very close people.

This was the part where Kookmin still with their task while everyone already started eating.

 

JK's task was to crack and open the sea urchin while Somin's and Haha was to remove the egg. But if you watch this part  carefully, JK already finished cracking all the sea urchin. What left was only for Somin to remove the eggs. Basically, JK could just leave Somin with her task as he already finished his. But he stayed and accompanied Somin who finally figured out the technique and started to enjoy the process. That just so sweet of him.

- egg shape face

- big eyes (remember when Kanghoon came for the first time, he said Somin's charm is her big eyes)

-long hair (he showed the hair length below and it is Somin's current hair )

- lips that spread wide when she smiles (like how he smiles), a person with pretty smile (again, Somin's smile)

Exactly after YJS said that, JK quickly looked down. While YJS, Somin and SJH laughed after YSC said "I have to keep frying for her?", JK maintained his serious face. After that, he started to get prickly and argued with YJS about the statement. 

 

A perfect contrast when YJS teased Somin with the same thing in the morning. The only different is, here, the groom is JK.

 

He laughed, even promised to buy her new car when YJS teased about Kookmin. But he was so serious, couldn't even laughed at the joke, even became grumpy when YJS teased Chanmin. Even if they currently aren't dating, it is so obvious he likes Somin, in romantic way.

During the debate session, the members had to convince the staff whether JK can gate married within 3 years (it was 2021 then). Kookmin were in the same time and they were the YES team. After debating for a while, YJS asked Somin to give her opinion.

Somin: I think he might not be able to (marry within 3 years)

 

JK: Stop it!

 

The other team came out with so many absurd stories to prove that JK won't able to marry within 3 years. But JK still able to counter their points calmly. But, Somin who was so quiet up until then just said "He might not be able to...", and he reacted so big by covering her mouth.

Somin explained the background story for her character.

 

Somin: I'm running away from my wedding to avoid an unwanted marriage.

 

JK: I'm sorry but stop making things up.

 

As far as I remember, Somin always have a background story for her character. So, this is nothing new. And also, as far as I remember, he never complain about this background story before. Looks like the story of Somin running away from an unwanted marriage wa not suit his taste.

 

Comment: If you see them as a couple, then both cases started to make sense. Why his reacted so big when Somin said he won't be able to get married within 3 years. Why he stopped Somin from going on with her runaway bride story. Joking or not, if he is the BF, he most likely felt like she jinxed their relationship.

YSJ: I talked to Somin 3 days ago, and she said "Oppa, I don't think about it often, but I have thought about it few times. If I married JK Oppa... (the convo got cut) "

 

This episode was filmed few days after JK and  Somin filmed their MBTI test for Gym Jongkook. So, it is understandable why she suddenly talked about her thinking of marrying JK to YJS. and JK's reaction? He laughed so loud the whole time.

YJS: You can drive the car if you marry him.

 

She imagined it 

 

JK: If you marry me, I'll get you a new car.

 

JK: Hey, I'll get my wife a Rolls Royce (and looked at Somin)

 

How JK reacted to YJS's teasing. He laughed first. And said he if they (Kookmin) get married, he will buy her new car. But do you notice? Haha the LL lover just stayed quiet the whole time. And YJS immediately diverted the focus to YSC after JK said he buys his wife RR.  The two person who can create a loveline scene when JK literally just breathing. Yet, they stayed quiet/divert the focus when it comes to Kookmin.

 

Comment: If you watch JK long enough, you will notice that JK is always consistent when others tease him with women. He always express his denial and refusal. No! Aniya... Keumanhae... Always. But this oppa who always dislike being tease with women, just laughed so loud when YJS said Somin thought of marrying him, when YJS said marry him so she can ride his car. It shows just how special Somin is to him. A potential marriage partner special.

YJS: Do you know what will give me goosebumps? If we keep trying to root for Somin and YSC and then one day, Somin and JK announce their marriage.

 

I think this is the scene that convince me that Kookmin has a huge potential to be real. Because when YJS teased them with marriage, instead of disgust with it, both just laughed. No refusal and denial whatsoever. It shows that both are okay with the possibility.

The scene when Somin lent her  glasses to JK surely sweet. But the most important for  that scene is, JK willingness.

1. In latest episode, JK accepted Somin's kindness without fuss because he is okay with it. He didn't even try to avoid her action. He even complimented her glasses (for helping him reduce the smoke trouble. Later, he smiled when Somin told about her good deed of lending him her glasses 

2. Ep 657, during the Detox Tour, when the members walked down from the lodge to the boat, it was hot and Somin didn't have her glasses. Before the boarded the boat, Somin wore glasses and it was JK's. JK lend his glasses to her.

3. Ep 610, during the ep at JK's house. Somin found JK's glasses and wore it. JK noticed this and smiled.

 

BUT! 

 

When JK is unwilling...

He refused right away. His body moved away to avoid the other person's action. He shouted, he got angry. Heck, once he even literally threw away his glasses because other person forced him to wear it.

1. Ep 612, he showed how he acted when he is really unwilling. I think you remember which scene was this.

 

And JK has shown so many times that he is willing to do something because of Somin but never to other woman.

JK and Somin walked together to the filming site. So, who waited for whom? Me think, JK waited for Somin as she most probably took longer time to change her clothes and do her hair. YJS saw this scene. Very interesting that he didn't make any comment about the fact that JK and Somin were together. Where is YJS who loves to create loveline?

After the opening scene ended, JK walked at the front. Then he stopped and turned around. He was waiting for Somin.

 

Several times we saw them together when the camera weren't rolling (they filming aren't officially started). The members gave them privacy by not joining them. And they also didn't make a big deal about it (not trying to create a loveline scene).
