Gosh the actor playing Bok Nam is very good looking. How old is he again.

Yes I was wondering who that was! I can't recognise him with the centre parting.  He looks so much older and better looking.

Is JH trying to give me a nosebleed? What's up with the hot shorts and knee high boots in winter? She is trying to seduce someone

I just WISH FOR MORE SEXY TIMES!! After all, Sae-Hee SHOULD show Ji-Ho some of the contents in his Room 19 FOLDER!!! Hahahaha!! Ok, ok, this is a Korean DRAMA, not movie (sigh ...) so all must be kept PG-rated ... shucks... so just MORE KISSES AND HUGS AND SKINSHIP AND morning after glow with TANGERINES all eaten up and their SKINS on the floor together with clothes .... (Yikes ... my mind needs bleaching ...) Unfortunately, they have wrapped up filming, so no last minute changes even if PD-Nim is reading our thread!

I need some sexy time too!

Oooh, episode 16 starts in a few hours. I apologize in advance if I'll be posting my reactions on the episodes. I'll try to limit them.

Also, I hope you have any recommendations on new kdramas that are good! I need to move on from BTIOFL as soon as it ends. :D

I will recommend "Go Back Couple". It's 12 eps, it sounds "meh" but it was so good.

First lifers, before I go to sleep I wanted to ask—I don’t know if I understood this correctly or if the subs are accurate but...

During CEO Ma’s chat with Ji Ho at Se Hee’s house, the mentioned a FOLDER named Room 19. And it looks like CEO Ma knows it’s contents and how it’s on a hard drive... from the embarrassed exchange after that between CEO Ma and Ji Ho, it seems like that folder contains... embarrassing stuff?

I’m not trying to be naughty here but the only logical explanation was that folder was p*rn.

If the subs are correct then, now we know how Se Hee survived 12 years of abstinence. LOL.

I think SG misunderstood the conversation topic... and he guessed that it's some kind of dirty videos.

But I don't think SH will share such details with SG since he is a private person and he hates talking about personal stuff at work.

    It's just SG's dirty mind.

Have you noticed the intro? there was a little snail looking for a shell..

    :bawling:

edit: sorry i don't know the proper terminology gh :/

Yes I noticed, the snail was separated from the shell.

Did anyone notice the backpack analogy? The imagery is, there is "snail theme" for this episode.

Ji Ho leaves with a backpack, it's because she is a snail. The backpack is her home.

    Once again, she belongs nowhere.

Also, I think production team did read this thread. They realised it's impossible to fit all of Ji Ho's clothing, coats, bags and pyjamas into the pink cabin luggage. Backpack is more realistic.

It was an emotional episode in so many ways which is already being discussed, but there were also moments of comedy which was much appreciated. I like the scene where JH tells JM that she and SH are getting a divorce. JM responds by saying that she had hoped for a happy ending for JH and SH, only for JH to question whether it was a sad ending just because they were getting a divorce. Then JH asks whether the head of a progressive production house in this day and age held onto such antiquated beliefs that being married equated to happiness while getting divorced meant one had to be sad. JH then dug it in a little further saying she had to rethink her contract with JM's company a little further then, as JM wondered why she felt as she had been had.

Another thing I noticed, rock climbing must be making a comeback as an activity in kdramas. I noticed that in Revolutionary Love, there was a rock climbing scene as well as in this scene. :) Then again, rock climbing is a lot of fun, so it's all good.

In Witch Court, there was also rock climbing scene. My bet is, the rock climbing venue is a sponsor!!!!!!!!

  6. So... I ended work and came back to watch it raw.

After reading the live comments, I kind of expected each scene. It helps me because I can understand what is going on, thanks to the live translations. Really thank you all for the time taken and effort to update here.

I felt super sad when I saw him in the empty house... empty living room... empty sofa... no cat...

I can understand how he feels. I'm not sure if there are any "only child"s here? I'm an only child, no siblings. You will be used to empty house, empty room. There is difficulty in communicating with parents and you will love to be left alone.

However, there is also a love-hate relationship with being alone. When you are happy, you are alone (playing computer games, watching drama, etc.), So only children can be perfectly at ease being alone, and very independent. After all, no one will ever help you with any household chores or doing anything. You only got yourself.

When you are sad, feeling down, depressed, there is also no one to talk to. No one can understand you, no one to console you.

Not to mention, SH entered a depressed, walled-up stage when Jung Min left him. The only person who could understand him (JM) and that he loved just left.

His only friend SG also became his boss and colleague. You see each other day in and day out, it's hard to talk about personal life when you work-work-work and battle all the work each day.

When someone who can understand you and enters your life by accident, this person will be your lifeline and you will just love him or her even more. You will feel like you're on the same team, taking on Life one obstacle at a time.

So when JH left... he couldn't even tell anyone else that he misses her. He can only cry alone and no one can hear it or wipe away his tears.

By the way, this scene reminds me of the scene in Goblin where GY ugly cried too. There is something moving about how a man 'soliloquy-cry' for love. It's like, manly and vulnerable at the same time. Unicorn tears.

I hope Sehee's dad does something really good for them. I was really hoping early on that we'll learn something about his dad that would make us understand him and know that he truly cares for Sehee. I hope he does this by being "the bridge" between Sehee and Jiho.

Yes I feel that the conflict between SH and his dad is too 'deep', there should be redeeming scene for the father.

Come on father, do a good deed for your son!

  8. It's D DAY!!!!

By the way, I haven't caught the scene about the cat collar.

I have seen in one of the scenes that JH threw away the 'Woori' cat collar angrily. I think it's after he told her that he doesn't want to see her visit his office or act like a married couple.

Then in ep 14 the cat collar appeared again and seems like he kept it.

Was there a scene where he took it out of the dustbin?

I tend to fast forward some scenes because I get emotional when I watch Ho Rang and Won Seok scenes.

It's too emo for me as they remind me of my past relationship.

  9. @Giya2909 @peggygordon Thanks for the BTS!

    They seem so nervous.

The production team is very smart to release this on a Sunday, hyping up expectations for eps 15 and 16!

I think the actress of JH and JH's character is innocent. So LMK as SH also feels awkward and nervous during acting.

The actor / actress and their characters have merged, they have entered the drama too :) It's their real emotions, y'all!!!!!

@122am II feel like I am corrupting you. It’s not about virginity it has nothing to do with that, but you can give it your own meaning. It’s the perception some of us had while watching that scene even I got a little flushed.

It was like she was ready to receive him she was open to the pisibilty,  but he only smelled the fragrance, her fragrance, her own smell (Her pheromones). Remember when he tells her that he likes her smell. Its dificult to explain.

The scene with the tangerines represented the sexual desire or the sexuality. This is my perception.

BTW:  In China and Japan, orange color is used to symbolize happiness and love. If  i am wrong someone make this clear for me.

Oh my, now that you have explained it, I got it

You put it in better words than me for sure!

I have been thinking about the oranges symbolism...

I like to think I have a dirty mind but I'm not so sure now...  (feeling shy)

    Here's my understanding of it:

    - JH brings tangerines into the room

    - SH takes one and hits it in his palm nervously

    - JH peels and opens one tangerine and

    - after awkward conversation about SH first time being in her room and weird 'smell' topic, SH smells the orange in his hand...

My conclusion is the orange is the symbolism of her virginity.
