The fact that he tried to remove her waterbottle before his own (in the press con) means that she is on his mind all the time.
Anyway, KGE is really lucky to have sooo many shippers all around the world shipping for her. All the positive vibes will be flowing her way around the globe. I wish I can get 'shipped out' to my Prince Charming in this way too.
I think after this drama GY will do some photoshoots and CF and really prepare to get married already.
It will be total waste if this perfect human specimen (GY) doesn't procreate or have offspring.
KGE, come on come on! We are all rooting for you, but like in the drama (church scene), you have to do something about it too! Don't let us wait too long. I think if KGE gets married soon, she can still have a long and beautiful career ahead of her after marriage. Something like Lee Young Ae.

No media interviews yet is a very suspicious situation. Apart from letting the cast rest, they probably need to let the craze die down first. If not, all interviews will be just about sizzling chemistry between GY-KGE.
I hope YIN gets more recognition too. Her scenes are not a lot but she delivered her character very well. If DH gets a teenage romance role similar to the male lead in Kim Bok Joo, I will totally support it. He did very well in the Goblin drama.

@lorac529 I love all the scenes you mentioned too. I also observed the finger rubbing and I really just super love it. And also the interlocking fingers. I tried to pause and zoom in and only after a few attempts did I observe that they were really doing the 'couple-lock' handholding stance.
I've not watched the press con yet... don't know if I should!

I believe in the power of prayer and from what I see there are at least 50 or more people in this thread praying for them to get together. Not to mention the thousands on IG and beyond!
Somehow I think GY has met a fellow highly skilled actress and he will miss this interaction with KGE. It's different from Jeon Do Yeon as it had shorter scenes and she is his senior. However I also acknowledge that his listed 'types' are Diane Lane and Angelina Jolie which is quite different from KGE. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high but still secretly shipping them! Let's see how Phuket turns out. I don't want to be disappointed.

KS and ET may have made their vows in a more modern way, no marriage pomp and complex ceremony. but i guess they did in the bowl of water to respect the culture as well. in Shamanism the Jeonghwa may have been done to transform a secular space, like the field into a sacred one. the water should be clear water fetched at dawn ( though i read that women should be doing it, so i'm not sure why KS was doing it unless he knew where the clearest water at dawn was. ) and offered as a part of a ritual or on its own.
if i made any mistakes in this, do tell me because i'm only making the closest guess i know since the bowl of water's presence is too generic for a ritual but is actually necessary for rituals, too.

I also noticed that the wedding ceremony did not have any religious overtones to it. It is a balance between the many Christians in Korea while respecting the traditions of Korea folklore. I've not seen any wedding done in this manner in any Asian drama (Taiwan, Korean, Hong Kong or Japan) so it's one of my favourite aspects of the drama. Of course, there are too many fave aspects of mine to count.
I'm feeling a little lost this week... woe is me.

Could it be that the maple leaf was in KS possession? Since ET does not have it, it was not destroyed.

@maryofbethany as I mentioned on DM DF is more accurate, they use professionals to translate, but on VIKI volunteers therefore it is more everyday language but good thing with VIKI is they translate the songs. I only use KA if I can't what I want to watch on DF - Viki. there was another website but it's shut down, they had accurate translations.

Just got my hands on A Man and A Woman OST. I've been looking for the haunting music for some time. Will play it on repeat right now!
@sooyoungdaebak I've noticed many times during the BTS where LDW has this "knowing" look. But I think actors will rationalize that they are still 'in character'. If there will be romance news, it should be months before there's more info coming our way.
It's like SHK and Hyun Bin. Have yall seen their kiss scene video on YouTube? It's like undeniable that they have chemistry in the drama filming. But in the end they broke up, I was sad about it.

Thank you! It's amazing that you remembered. I think I can only remember his amazing winter coats. I'll go re-watch that scene tomorrow. There is another radio booth scene where he calls her and he is summoned to radio booth for the first time, it's one of my favourites and I rewatched it so many times. I like the part where she throws her head back in happiness that he finally called and he gives this smile that spells Pure Bliss. That killed me.

Hi all! So... I'm picking up some vibes that we are really looking forward to bed scene but seems like it was cut out from the final edit and left with a scene where ET 'jumps' on KS.
Which left me to remember the moment I really fell in love with GY!
I shall share it here, seems more appropriate than sharing it on the GY fan thread.
(Decided to put the post in the cut because it got too long)SpoilerI actually have not heard about GY until last year (2016). My friends went on and on about Coffee Prince but that was more than 5 years ago? I knew it was about a girl in disguise as a boy, but I was already deeply in love with the Hong Kong classic movie 'She's a Man, He's a Woman' (Leslie Cheung) which I have loved since primary school. So I figured that a 'girl in disguise as a boy' plot was nothing special and didn't watch it.
In 2016, I read an article in my country's newspaper about Train to Busan breaking lots of records, which is surprising for an 'Asian zombie movie'. Put these 3 words together and you can be sure to expect something lame. But in the article, the journalist interviewed some audience outside of the cinema who said that they loved it so much, it was their second time watching it. So with some free time, I watched it.
But, I still didn't really feel drawn to GY, because I felt he was acting as a 'hero' character. That is quite similar to Andy Lau, who always acted in such roles. Nothing much.
When I finally decided to watch Goblin in December, it was because of KGE, I loved her in CITT and I read online that this was her 'big role'. Plus, I loved DOTS and I wanted to see what the same writer and director can present this time.
OK, so I went ahead to watch the first ep and was amazed. So I searched Instagram for #gongyoo and this was one of the few posts I chanced upon, a video of GY in Running Man.
The first video, I saw him lock his long legs around the girl (not too sure of her name because I don't watch Running Man). I quite like that he was really respectful and triple-checked if he can really 'attack' her. And of course she fell into the water, who wouldn't go weak when GY wraps his legs around you right?! Esp when you are hanging on a pole in the air.
The second IG video, I saw this guy whose turn was after the girl. And GY suddenly became competitive and did this amazing back-flip.
And after I watched the back-flip, I fell in love with him!
Because he was (a) gentlemanly when treating the girl (b) competitive when he had to versus a guy. It's perfect, he's nice to you and he can protect you.
So what has this got to do with Goblin Couple?
At the moment of falling in love, I concluded that GY will be super ****ing good in bed because he can execute this backflip in the air.

It's a major moment for me because I didn't even care about manly body before watching this video. I always liked pretty faces like LMH, SJK. I didn't even care about the mandatory K-drama male lead bathroom fan service abs scene. But after being introduced to GY, LMH became like Ken-Doll.
If KGE really gets together with GY and even better, marries him, I'm sure she has done some feat in her past life like saving a busload of children from dying.
Hope this video is useful for people who are disappointed with lack of steamy scenes, try to just use your imagination for KS-ET bed scene. Or, watch A Man and A Woman.

I want to refer to this video in particular:
Initially when I watched the vid without any context, I was wondering why GY had to bend down.
Then, when subs came out, I thought, oh ok! Candles to summon KS, wow! Funny touch by the writer (as she was the one who announced it).
But when I watched the video right now, I was wondering why GY decided to quickly change positions without anyone saying anything to him.
And it's because... (drumroll)...
He has been acting as KS for 5 months and probably preparing his role a couple of months before that. So he is KS and KS is GY right now. GY knows that for 'ET' to summon him, he has to be behind her! If you watch the video, he moved instinctively without any cue from anyone.
I was really wow-ed by this fact. He is still 'in character' and even though he didn't have the costume or hairdo or luxurious clothing, GY the actor and KS the Goblin merged into one, wearing GY-clothing. KS-GY duo had one thought, acted in accordance as one spirit and moved together, without anyone telling him. It's instinct, professionalism, quick-wittedness and awareness all in one.
By the way, did anyone notice that his upper body is really huge and V-shaped? It is especially obvious when he pops up as the candles are blown out.
I love you GY! Thank you for existing and living in the same time period as me. hahaha

But really, i LOVE this drama! I got a lot laughs from this.. Kudos them!
1. KS is supposed to die and become ashes and finally attain peace without any Guardian duties on earth. Because he loves ET and wants to be with her, he chose to remain in limbo (is this the right word for that sea/cloud place?) to have a chance to see ET again. There, he could be the rain and the first snow as it falls to earth. When ET summoned him at age 29, due to them signing the contract that she can summon him at the first snow every year, he reappeared with his goblin powers. If not, I think he will just become nothing.
2. I think it means that because she is a missing soul, she will meet a GR before she turns to the perfect age of 10, 20 or 30. So at age 9 she meets GR for the first time. At age 19, GR meets her again, but KS is there to protect her. At age 29, it seems that disaster is meant to befall upon her due to her missing soul status.
3. My guess is that the production team did not intend for DH to take on an older role. His role seems to be assigned to provide humour relief for a heavy duty and serious plot. As his face is youthful, they decided not to apply ageing process to his face.
4. Seems like there are lots of different opinion about this, I think writer KES decided to leave this open ended. I'm thinking, after her fourth life, if she doesn't come back, KS will choose to become nothing finally and return to ashes, because there is no point to live without ET. Or, maybe she will attain immortal status with KS.

Yes episode 14 is my favourite too. It's because the dating scenes are real and it seems possible to happen to anyone in real life.
The depression moments are very real to me too, as some of my friends are seeing therapists or have some trauma to get over. It's just common in real life, except perhaps most people do not talk about it.
Lastly, it will be great if a talk stranger with sad eyes, whom I am attracted to, keeps appearing around me and initiating conversations. I have rewatched ep 14 and 15 many times since Fri/Sat. For some reason, I avoid ep 16. It's a little too heavy, so I only watch it for the wedding scene.

So, in the current time, when KS saved ET's mother and ET was born, that was ET's first life.
2. I think when Goblin reappeared in her life, her ghost vision came back. This was not clearly explained in ep 16, agree with you there should be a little more info about this.
3. Before ep 15 and 16, many people (including myself) speculate that ghost friend may have more significance. However, I think the writer just wants to show true friendship between ghost and human. Ghost friend always scares her, and some speculate that she was standing behind ET's mother in hospital scene too. But, last scene of grey ghost girl shows that she is a true friend of ET and gave the biggest help to remove her evil aunt. Ghost brought ET's aunt to reincarnate, so that ET can continue with her life peacefully. It's another way of showing the 'true friendship' theme that continue throughout the drama.

Sunny died of old age illness, it is written on her death card.
She moved, and grew old on her own without contacting GR.
When she died (age 68), she went into tea room at around the same time (age 68).
My take on how Sunny entered the room: they did not get an 'old' actress for just 1 scene. So, they got a person who is old to 'enter' the tea room, and only filmed back scene. When Sunny entered, she is shown as her young self. If you observe the other tea room scenes, if the people have met in the dead person's earlier life, they transform into the younger version. For example, Canada boy with a hat who became really old, Goblin came to say goodbye to him in tea room. He was shown as younger boy too, if I am not mistaken. Same for South Korean / North Korean couple. My understanding is the South Korean / North Korean couple are siblings. But I may be wrong.
So Sunny is depicted as 'young Sunny', but actually she died at age 68.

3. The wedding vow is super interesting: "Until death parts us, every word you say, whatever it may be, me too." Is this a traditional Korean wedding vow? Or did writer KES come up with her own wedding vow? I had previously watched K drama but I have never seen a wedding ceremony in a drama before.

About the wedding, I like that she has short hair! I really, really like that! Most brides have long hair and in Asia long hair is 'feminine', so I like that she has short hair and KS still looks taken aback by her beauty.
And I love that there were no family members, or signing of any papers. It's just a love honoured between two people who truly love each other and no need for any distrust. I've read about 'elopement weddings' where couples just elope with a wedding registration person and a photographer. No family drama. And do not need to spend too much money too.
I wish upon a birthday cake and candle to feel such a romantic love in my lifetime.

I see, so she managed to post something during the filming of Goblin before she deactivated her account.
I think she has her whole mind on GY but he has moved on to other work stuff. Probably working hard to secure lots of endorsements, like how SJK had after DOTS.
I'm sure he will do a world tour of fan meets, seems like that is where the money is at! Come to my country, take my money!

I'm not sure if anyone has already posted this video compilation of all kissing scenes of Goblin? First half is especially watchable since it has the rooftop kiss scene in slow motion.
I can't stop watching GY's hand on KGE's ear. His hand keeps moving! GY seems very experienced... I feel shy as an audience watching it.
I think when he does romance drama, he is single. So that he can really give his best attempt at the role without caring what his partner is feeling. And that's why he is always convincing when he takes these roles.
Hate to say this but watching Goblin really makes me wish that I can fall deeply in love again.
