    First look at Yoo Seung-ho and Chae Soo-bin in I’m Not a Robot

    Oh so cute! The first stills of Yoo Seung-ho (Ruler—Master of the Mask) have been revealed for his upcoming drama, I’m Not a Robot. In it, he plays the principal investor of a successful finance company who has everything from money to power to looks. Unfortunately, he also has a “human allergy,” which prevents him from having a girlfriend, let alone any physical relationship. As a result, when he meets this girl robot, in his loneliness, he ends up falling in love with a her. But is she really a robot?

    Main love interest Chae Soo-bin (Strongest Deliveryman) is also captured in the stills below. She will be playing two roles: a robot and a human. Her robot character is Aji-3, the latest AI humanoid android with a supercomputer brain programmed to understand humans. Her second character, Jo Ji-ah, is a human who has an Einstein-level of emotional intelligence and dreams of becoming an entrepreneur who makes things that people need. Through her ex-boyfriend who is an engineering doctoral student, she gets a part-time job acting as a robot that looks exactly like her, Aji-3. So I wonder, will Yoo Seung-ho be falling for Aji-3 or Jo Ji-ah? It’s been reported that Chae Soo-bin has been practicing her gait, accent and intonations for months to perfectly mimic a robot.

     

    Regarding the production team, PD Jung Dae-yoon (She Was Pretty) and writer Kim Sun-mi (Shine or Go Crazy) are collaborating for this drama. It’s also been reported that Yoo Seung-ho and PD Jung Dae-yoon hit it right off the bat, completely in tune with each other’s ideas regarding this project. I’m glad because a good rapport between the cast and the crew means a positive work environment, which will hopefully lead to an even better drama.

     

    Overall, I’m just looking forward to seeing these two actors, Yoo Seung-ho and Chae Soo-bin, onscreen. In both their sageuks earlier this year (Ruler—Master of the Mask and Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People respectively), I thought that they were heavily underutilized. So I hope that I’m Not a Robot will give them the opportunity to show off all the cute charisma that I know they’re both capable of.

     

    MBC romantic comedy I’m Not a Robot will air sometime later this year.

    @maj_loves and @vangsweetie637 hi chingudeul :D, I didn't watch Shine or Go Crazy as well but though there isn't praises for that drama we know how sageuks has diffferent writing style than modern dramas and rom-coms so let's hope for the best and keep our trust in the PD and Yoo Seng Ho's decision in working for this drama!! :)

    Yoo Seung Ho Is A Source Of Bright Energy On Set Of His Upcoming Rom-Com Drama

    The first look at Yoo Seung Ho in his newest project has been revealed!

     

    The actor is currently filming MBC’s “I’m Not a Robot” (literal title), which tells the story of a nearly perfect man Kim Min Gyu who has it all, from looks to a successful career, but has just one crippling flaw: he’s ‘allergic to humans.’ He begins to fall in love with a woman (played by Chae Soo Bin) who he believes is a robot, but is actually a real human being.

     

    Not only will this drama mark Yoo Seung Ho’s first attempt at romantic comedy, but he will also be showcasing yet another dimension to his acting through this unique character.

    In the released stills, the star looks as if he stepped out of a comic as he stares at someone not pictured with a variety of expressions.

     

    “You could say that this is the brightest character I’ve ever played. I was also attracted to the idea that he is someone ailed with ‘an allergy to humans.’ I was captivated by the script immediately, and read it all in one go while laughing periodically,” Yoo Seung Ho shared. “I think my expectation for this drama grows as I discuss the production with director Jung Dae Yoon, and because of the fact that I get to work with good actors. I want to work hard whilst filming so that I can complete a good production.”

    The production crew only had good things to say about the actor, and his chemistry with the drama’s director, Jung Dae Yoon.

     

    They explained, “Yoo Seung Ho just as himself is a source of strength on set. The staff members that were present at the first shoot were amazed at how perfectly he got into character and portrayed Kim Min Gyu.”

     

    He reportedly has already perfected how to act in-character, thanks to his continuous discussions with director Jung Dae Yoon and his relentless efforts. Even when the weather suddenly became colder, the actor is rumored to have not let it affect his work as he personally checked things like his lines and the styling of his character.

     

    The drama’s staff also revealed how Yoo Seung Ho and director Jung Dae Yoon work so well together, it’s hard to believe that this is their first production.

     

    “It seemed like director Jung Dae Yoon and Yoo Seung Ho just clicked when they first met. Filming has just started, but they will talk to each other on set whenever they get the chance, and will smile at each other even when they happen to make eye contact,” the crew explained. “They have such a close relationship [now] that you realize that this is what ‘bromance’ really means. There’s no reason for the production to not do well when such a director and actor make a perfect match.”

    @Berou one more reason for being excited for his new drama is getting to spazz with you about it and swoon, squee and LOL over him this time around :wink: me too I think he's going to have an eccentric personality and can't wait for it :D 

     

    really?!! that was so sweet of them :wub: I always feel happy seeing people's love for him and he totally deserve as much love as he's receiving and more for sure!! :heart:
