Aired on MBC in Korea: Jan. 8, 2003 - March 6, 2003 on Wednesday & Thursday nights at 9:55 Staff: Writer: Kim Do Woo (Man & Woman) Producer: Lee Chang Soon (Man of Autumn/Memories) Cast: Suh Yon-wook (17-26): Kong Hyo Jin Bright and simple young women. She adorable and honest. She is too honest to take back her feelings. Sometimes her hand and feet talks before her when she's angry but at times, she also knows how to listen to other people. She is just an ordinary girl who does not have a big dream of a sort. But with the help of her brother-in-law, she realizes what she wants to be in her life. Her brother-in-law's help was big for her to become a police-woman but it strikes her painfully when she realizes that it was a love. Through the painful love, she learns to be mature into her twenties leaving all the days of her teens behind. Detective Han Pil-seung (28-37): Jo Jae Hyun (Piano) He's easily sympathetic with people. He has a very soft heart. He is not too smart and not too picky. But he is not an easy man. He is a tough policeman and when it comes to dealing with criminals, he is not too much forgiving. At the beginning years in his police department, he used to be punished by his senior policemen for being too violent with the criminals. He has endurance to follow what he has to follow to the end of the world and he is very proud to be a policeman. And he has a very strong fellowship and likes to take care of his friends and he seems to be getting along well with any kinds of people around him. He has met Yeon-Jung a year ago on an airplane. He has arrested and bringing a criminal who tried to escape to a remote island. The criminal made a fuss on the plane and Yeon-Jung was hurt a little. And that's when he fell in love with her at the first sight. But Yeon-Jung has a younger sister and he find it very hard to cope with this young lady. She seems to dislike anything that has to do with him. But in order to obtain his love, he also has to be nice and get friendly with this naughty young lady. Suh Yon-jung (Yon-wook's elder sister, 25): Oh Yeon Su (Love & Success) Everything opposite to Yeon-Wook is Yeon-Jung. Yeon-Jung is polite, quiet and feminine. She is a beauty, sexy and even has a good heart. Yeon-Wook looks strong outside but has a soft center whereas Yeon-Jung looks frail outside but has a strong center and she is very realistic. She is the type of woman who does not seem to be lack in anything... an ideal for all man kind. But the world gave her a pain in living. Her parents died early when she was young and she had to take care of her younger sister. Her sister, Yeon-Wook, is her most concern in her life and she is even willing to give up her own life if it's for Yeon-Wook. She becomes a stewardess but she only gets on the domestic planes being reluctant to leave her sister alone at home for a long period of time. One of those days she meets Pil-Seung. She feels that he is a good man who is willing to take care for both herself and her sister. But as she realizes that Yeon-Wook seems to be feeling a special feeling for Pil-Seung, she is fouled up. Cha Sung-joon (20-29): Kim Rae Won (Beautiful Life, Wuri's Family, My Love Patzzi) He is a good-looking and proud man. He is very direct in conversation and has a cynical side. He is a given and gifted man but not at all interested in being a prince. He knows how to cope with people without being envied for being well off. He is a sports man playing ice-hockey and he is always surrounded by his fans... mostly young girls. He does not have anything in want and has a strong will to lead his own life. But as he falls in love with Yeon-Wook, everything about his life seems to have fallen in to the mud. For all his life, he has never wanted anything badly and he was quick to give up. But it seems to be different with Yeon-Wook. He wants badly for Yeon-Wook but he can not have her nor give up on her. Through Yeon-Wook, for the first time in his life, he is scarred in his pride. The character's age (and changes in age) are shown in the parentheses. Story: "Life is bitter.... but beautiful" Yeon-Wook's parents died in a car accident and she has been living with her elder sister. The world is too tough for two girls to live through but Yeon-Wook knows how to fight it and how to make the world smile at her. Just like the snow flakes soar lightly in the air, Yeon-Wook knows how to dust off her troubles. She makes the world smile at her and she knows how to make the cheers for her neighbors. And one day, she meets the toughest aspect in her life as she falls in love with the man her sister once loved. Deeper the pain of love, she will learn the more beautiful side of life. The first meeting for Yeon-Wook and Pil-Seung was not destined. And that day, they were both in a down mood. Pil-Seung was arresting a group of high school girls and Yeon-Wook was angry to be treated like one of them. So she stole Pil-Seung's handcuffs. He was enraged when he found out and set out to look for the i can't read who stole his handcuffs. But soon, the girl appeared in front of him with her hand handcuffed. She was fooling around only to have her hands caught in the handcuffs. And he is miserable to find out that she is the sister of Yeon-Jung, the woman he is in love with. Pil-Seung, unwillingly, has to be nice to Yeon-Wook because she is the closest one to Yeon-Jung who can be a great help when he proposes a marriage to Yeon-Jung. He buys Yeon-Wook presents, dinner... he even takes her a sightseeing to the prison as her wish. But Yeon-Wook is not giving back enough. She talks ill of her sister to him, would not give his phone to her, comes out to join the lover's date, makes and spreads rumours... But the time goes and Pil-Seung find Yeon-Wook's naughty behaviour cute. The day when Yeon-Wook and Sung-Joon came across was not a good day either for the two. Sung-Joon was involved in a fight during the ice hockey match and he had to come to the police station. There he saw a high school girl yelling at a policeman. Finding her rather interesting, he gives her a ticket to his next match. But she does not come. He is upset to see her treating him no better than a pebble stone. He has been proud of himself always surrounded by the female worshipers. He can not help but feeling especially upset at her ignorance. So he decides to come to her himself. When he found her she is only too busy trying to chase away Pil-Seung from her sister. Consequently, he gets used by her. In fact, Sung-Joon is only a nuisance to Yeon-Wook. Her friend Sang-Hee keeps telling her how attractive he is, but Yeon-Wook is just too busy to chase away Pil-Seung from her sister, Yeon-Jung. She has no time to look at Sang-Joon and hates him following her 24 hours a day. But more Yeon-Wook ignores Sang-Joon, the deeper his love goes for her. yep~~ I found Rae Won in this drama is super charming ~~ His character is so cool, & so devoted to loving GHJ's role ~~ Also, He always wears suits in it ~~ so handsome, HOT looking ~~~
