*** Finally............the DVD copy of "Gangnam Blues", which I ordered arrived. I feel happy that I was able to watched it..... The movie looks like a 80s Hong Kong movie. The more interesting thing about “Gangnam Blues” is not the characters and their melodrama but the life style and the bigger political story being told. The movie is violent. Most of the damage is done using stabbing knives. There is a lot of stabbing in this movie. Overall, the action is well executed. Music is not my area of interest so I cannot name them exactly. The pacing is brisk as a result of this which is nice to not get bored in the middle. In addition, my only complaint is the ending, which doesn’t really work as it should be.  I don't understand what the ending is about. - hahaha. “Gangnam Blues” is not as good as your highest expectations. However, it is an extremely solid genre movie.

 

It's not for Dramafans who are looking for couple stories cuz its a serious movie and targets different audience ''Men'' since the violence is above any womens imaginations since the kniv-stabbing is regular practice in that movie. I believe he got popular amongst action fans and especially hong kong directors and Hollywood. he showcased flashy action. Its safe to say it was his most important project so far, he was taken truely serious for the first time.  

Hi, you know, I also feel happy that this movie is one of 'the top mentioned movies in Twitter Korea so far this year from January to June 2015. Actually, it's no surprise for me.
