On the contrary of this article, the majority of viewers on Koreaboo's Facebook and Youtube don't find his performance hilarious because of his perfect vocals! Many comments were in English.

Kim Bum Soo performs hilarious parody of “Eyes, Nose, Lips”

unnamed

On the December 19th Christmas special episode of Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook, power ballad soloist Kim Bum Soo performed a hilarious parody of Taeyang‘s hit track, “Eyes, Nose, Lips.”

The artist is fully immersed in his parody, wearing a pair of dark sunglasses and a hairnet as various other who have parodied the song did.

As Kim Bum Soo belts out the emotional track with his signature vocals, it is hard not to notice the similarities he establishes with his outfit to the original music video. Other than the sunglasses, the artist dons a sleeveless leather vest that accentuates his toned arm muscles. His dark leather pants and even earring choice take Taeyang’s original concept into consideration.

While he performs the track, the screen behinds him adds another touch of comedy with the three screens showing an eye, nose, and mouth. Already odd enough due to their presence, the expressions and peculiar movements of the body parts make the entire performance even funnier than before.

@Melchai You are welcome! No words can describe how amazing Kim Bum Soo is. He is so gifted, diligent, humble, witty, charming with awesome musicianship! He is a multi-dimensional world class entertainer and also the role model for young singers. Always taking up new challenge. Awesome and colourful vocalist and composer. We love his 8th album "HIM"! Absolutely enjoyed his role in Saturday Night Live although we don't understand a word. Whatever range of voice and colour he sings just melts our hearts in seconds! National Treasure of South Korea!

I just wish there are more English subtitles in his clips. KBS World is already making improvements.

@Melchai How lucky you are to have all his albums! Envious! We were able to order Album 2 and 2012 DVD from YesAsia. One friend went to South Korea and bought Album 6 from an old CD shop for us. The only CD left in the whole shop. We were really lucky. His Album 7 Solista Part 2 is in our local library. How we wish that that copy is ours. lol. Did you order Album 8 "HIM" with his signature? I have ordered 9 from Mwave with his signature, some to be shipped to friends living in another country who love his songs and am patiently waiting for its arrival. That 2012 DVD was so awesome that my friends who did not know him fell in love with his voice and songs half way watching! None of us understand the lyrics. How we wish they produce DVDs for his performances at Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House. These iconic stages are for outstanding performing artists. They don't open their doors easily. Many singers have passion when they sing their songs but Kim Bum Soo not only has passion, it is sincerity that other singers are lacking. He sings from his heart and soul plus his awesome techniques and embellishments, always makes us surprise upon first listening. Every phrase, every note is so detail like embroidery using different size and colour of thread. His dramatic ballads are so wonderful which has the effect of watching a drama in 5 minutes. Sometimes I thought that this is not Kpop, he is like singing opera in classical music because of the operatic effect he produce especially those intense high notes don't even need to change to falsetto voice. So rare in this world!

Yes. Me too. I am looking forward to watching "Invisible Man". Hope that I could find clips with English subtitles. Please post if you find any kind of clips with English Subtitles. Thank you and have a good day!

The following article is posted in Soompi under Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook

Kim Bum Soo Transforms into Taeyang on “Sketchbook”

YHY-Sketchbook-Kim-Bum-Soo-2

On the December 19 episode of “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” singer Kim Bum Soo surprised viewers with his transformation into Taeyang as he sang “Eyes, Nose, Lips.”

Kim Bum Soo appeared on the music show’s Christmas special. He copied the hairnet fashion Taeyang wore on an appearance on “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” though perhaps to a slightly different effect. Kim Bum Soo also wore an outfit from Taeyang himself, a leather vest that showed off his muscles. The surprising visual of Kim Bum Soo dressed as Taeyang had the audience laughing.

Even with his slightly shocking appearance, Kim Bum Soo, known as a very talented singer, earnestly sang his cover of “Eyes, Nose, Lips.”

This episode also featured SISTAR dressed in ape costumes.

The “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” Christmas special also featured actress Shin Min Ah and singers 2AMNam JinYoon SangBobby KimFly to the Sky,Sung Shi KyungGummyDynamic DuoPark Jung HyunNavi, and The Barbarettes.

I don't understand Korean but I got the translation from another website in the language I understand. The English subtitle for the conversation between Kim Bum Soo and his mom Ms. Lee is missing from the original music video:

“Jibap" music video - Ms. Lee (Hui Son Yi) is his mother. He called and spoke to his mom at the end of the music video of "Jibap (Home Meal)".

Conversation between Kim Bum Soo and his mom:

Kim Bum Soo: Hi mom, I want to have your home made food.

Ms. Lee: Home made food?Kim Bum Soo: Yes.

Ms. Lee: ok. I will cook as much as you want to eat.

Kim Bum Soo: Mom, I miss you.

Ms. Lee: I miss you too.Kim Bum Soo: I love you.Ms. Lee: I love you too.....

Ms. Lee reluctantly hang up the phone
