I LOVED Jang Jin Yeong in Blue Swallow, such spunk, grit, made me proud being a woman!! and Over the Rainbow with Lee Jung Jae...what a gem of a movie that unfolded so beautifully! Never seen her in a drama before and as a lead now WOWWWWWW can't wait!

and with Sung Il Guk - Smashing!!!

Han Jae Suk - can't say I like him much, this is his post army debut? Must say picture does look good.... seen him in Glass Shoes & All About Eve:ph34r:

i think i should be the one saying sorry

hahaha

yes it was an honest mistake.. and im going to edit it..

let's not be that mean to yoon eun hye

hahaha

but im really thankful that jang jin young got the part

No worries, angel. I knew it was a mistake with too many posts to read and to reply to. Thank you for editing though, as like you and many others here, I also believe that SIK is one hot, amazing actor. Oh did I say hot already?

As for YEH, I cannot be mean to YEH. My little girl adores her, second only to SHK.

As for the cast, I do not know most of them though I trust everyone's opinion here who says this is a strong cast, acting wise, and with that budget, I think we are in for another awesome drama. So happy about SIK's new project. :)

Jang Jin Young as Maria

siktp7.jpg

Song Il Gook as Harry

hjssx9.jpg

Han Jae Suk as Kang Tae Hyuk

They also listed Jung Hye Young as Eva, but I haven't read anything about Jung Hye Young joining the cast so I'm not too sure about that. But Eva is supposed to be Kang Tae Hyuk's girlfriend, if this character really exists.

:w00t: This is one unbelievable cast!!! I know everyone is probably excited about Song Il Gook and I like the guy too, but I'm all about Han Jae Suk!!!!

There's something about guys who always play second fiddle or the underdog or die selflessly that have a special place in my heart  and seriously, who else but Han Jae Suk has played all those roles??

He lost a lot of weight! :o A little too much.. :sweatingbullets: but still  ^_^

The best part is the cast is older and ALL experienced actors. There is no weak link and they're actually around the same age! Sometimes it gets to be too much for me when they cast younger girls with older guys.. nowadays it's almost rare to find people of the same age cast in the same drama unless the whole cast is young.

Huh Joon Ho! Love him! Kim Mi Sook, actually I get Kim Mi Sook and Lee Mi Sook mixed up all the time.. Kim Mi Sook is the mother in Marathon I think. Whatever. They're both great actresses so either will do. Ooh, hope there's a serious loveline between Kim Mi Sook and Huh Joon Ho.. I think I'm getting too excited for a drama thats more than 5 months away!

woot! thx for the goodies jahye! keep'em coming...

i'm glad they're pushing the airdate to september-ish.

don't want them to rush like they did with 'all in'...

i'm looking forward to han jae-seok taking on quite a impressive drama. it's been so long since we saw him..

i actually think he will be just as strong as song il-guk in it. so it'll be 2 male leads.

i love song il-guk and he loves me but i think he is better in period drama than modern.

and i'm super nervous for him.. coming off of a hit like 'jumong'... ppl will put a lotta pressure on him..

but he is a disciplined hardworking perfectionist so i know he will do great.

can't wait to see jang jin-yeong in a tv drama. actually i think i'm more excited about her than the males...

love kim ji-sook too. such a classic elegance.. i get her mixed up with lee mi-sook too. but since lee mi-sook was in the film 'affair' with lee jeong-jae.. i tell myself kim is not the one in 'affair'.. heh~

btw do you know where they will be filming in the u.s.?

Wow, HJS looks like he lost a ton of weight compared to pre-military. His face looks more sculpted(?) now. He also seems to be the one we hear the least about whilst in training. He could be considered my 1st kdrama love ages ago, I rooted for him (initially) in All about eve and (the whole way) in Sunflower :D. Glad to learn that the cast is taking shape nicely. Was Jang Jin Yeong one of the female characters in Sang-do or am I confusing her with someone else? She was the one in Over the Rainbow? I LOVE that movie, it was so sweet and touching. And I'm glad SIG is finally doing a modern piece. Exciting exciting!!!

I definately agree, SIG has a lot of pressure on him because it's his follow up drama to the mega hit Jumong. His costars have pressures too since it's HJS and JJY's comeback to dramas, but you got to feel for SIG since he's so popular right now, so if the drama flops.. :( let's pray even though SBS is using their big bucks the drama won't flop, because SBS has a bad record of doing exotic location shoots and the dramas end up being bleh.

I'm also very excited to see JJY as well. I'm tellin' ya, the whole cast is exciting!

I read on http://cafe.daum.net/29js they're filming in New York, but I don't know how reliable that is.

yes!~. i like her ..~ this drama has such a solid cast

Thanks for the confirmation shirley and the pic!~

I was quite surprised with his new look too.. He never did look like an average Korean heartthrob, but now that he lost so much weight he looks even more different  But I still love him for all the roles he plays. Ooh~ classic HJS in All About Eve, who can forget the scene when she played the video and broke down in tears :tears: classic, oldie drama at its sappiest best.

I think you're confusing Jang Jin Young with someone else since she wasn't in Sang-do. If you're talking about the main girl, that was Kim Hyeon Joo.

JJY hasn't been in a drama since forever. I don't think I've ever seen any of her dramas.

Here are some pictures of her

Coincidentally, soon after Han Jae Suk signed with Yedang Entertainment after he got released from his military duties, Jang Jin Young also signed with the same company and now they're in the same drama..

this drama has an official title change.

from 엔젤 (angel) to:

로비스트 (lobbyist)

it was revealed during song il-guk's global fan meeting on april 7th, 2007.

http://kr.news.yahoo.com/service/news/shel...mp;newssetid=83

로비스트 makes more sense. It's not original, but it makes more sense.

wow...two manly leads, I'm really excited for this one, I think SIK can also do good in modern dramas, I believe he was good in Terms of Endearment though he got popular in Historical dramas...Han Jae-suk is all lean now...like all of you guys I get to mix up Kim Mi-sook and Lee Mi-sook but I think I can now recognize who's who and of course Hur Joon-ho is also in the cast...loved him in Jumong as Haemosu, at least I can see him much longer on screen now...

Lol look its my favourite <White Tower> troopers!

I was just thinking that they should go to Washington DC to shoot.. since its the poilitical capital and also NYC for it being the "financial capital" and wow I checked the news last night and they are indeed going to those 2 cities! woot!

source: http://kr.news.yahoo.com/service/news/shel...mp;newssetid=83

==========

And this is going to be the first in a looong time that I've seen Song Ilguk do modern dramas. I've got an aversion to period drama... so I tend to stay away, even if stuff like <Damo> (sacrilege I know!) I thought it was good, but somehow... period dramas and me don't quite click. So YAY! as he's finally gonna give me a chance to admire him again- although I know I'm way back in the admiration line after you, dramaok

And HJS! I recently rewatched <sunflower> couldn't help but feel sorry for his character. For once he got there first! ... only to see his girl get snatched away :( And his new image looks completely different to me... so I'm definitely looking forward to this! :)

And THE JJY... need I say more? I'm sooo hyped! 2007 seems like a good year for dramas~

Thanks for the news everyone~~

Whoo~ shirley, dramaok, and suzziee, it's the White Tower clan! ^_^

They finally cast the fourth player

ysevazo8.jpg

이미영 - '정순'. Harry의 어머니. - Lee Mi Young as Jung Soon, Harry's mother

They also put up small descriptions of the characters, but this is all preliminary information so anything can change

송일국 - 'Harry'.

Maria'.

유선 - 'Eva'

Maria의 언니로, Maria가 부모처럼 의지하는 인물. 미 해군 정보국에 취직한 에바는

스파이로 몰려 폭발사고로 죽음을 맞는다.

It's interesting Yoo Sun is casted.. she also recently signed under Yedang Entertainment with Jang Jin Young..

Anyways, if anyone has seen Daemang, they should recognize Yoo Sun. She's the one who (MAJOR spoiler ahead)

was in love with Han Jae Suk's character and killed him in the end

.. so we'll be seeing a reunion between the two actors.

Hi all ! I'm excited about this new series ( mainly bec Song Il-kook is a confirmed part of the cast) but then noting who the people behind the production are and you're feedback about the rest of the cast -- wow! It's making me more, more excited. :D Good thing I still have 5 months to catch up on the previous work of the other stars...

I think aside from the given pressure for most of the stars -- the munitions topic the series intends to revolve in is quite a "touchy" subject these days -- hmm, I am very interested to see how the writer will handle this piece & from whose perspective-- since most of the work I've seen dealing with the arms issue came from Hollywood

See, I think it was a smart move on SIG and his handlers' part to get him out of the period drama so that he isn't typecast and pigeon-holed. I have every confidence that SIG will perform phenomenally, as he always does.

I can't STAND the name Harry though. He does NOT look like a "Harry". I mean, come on - what were they thinking?!

And yes, dramaok, I think that SIG does love you. I simply cannot hate you for it.

김준성 [kim joon-seong]

added the cast of 'lobbyist'..

he will play the character 'michael' who is a mafia who runs a high-end casino.

kim is korean ethnic born in hong kong in 1975. he is fluent in korean, chinese, english, and another language i forgot what. i've seen him in the friday night drama 'that woman' and he was really funny and hot there. wasn't he in 'fashion 70s' too? he went to wake forest university in the u.s. and he made his debut through arirang tv i think as a show host and he's been acting in korea for the last 4 years.

the list of hot men in 'lobbyist' just grows.. we're all doomed..

yup i remember her in there. she was the chinese girl whose dad is han jae-seok's master. i thought she was better w/ him than lee yo won.

is it just me or does yoo seon remind you of another actress? i always get her and kim yoo-mi and also moon jeong-hee mixed up.

omg ... i remember him!!! kekeke ... i think he looked thinner in this pix though compared to when he was in fashion 70s. isn't he the hot translator everyone noticed right away?

gosh ... what an exciting casts indeed!!! SIG & JJY!!! HJH & KMS!!! and Yoo Sun ... i think the last drama i saw her in is Singles Life. not a fan of HJS but wow ... he looked so changed!!!! i thought it was a new guy by the same name until i took a closer look at the pix. kekeke ... i even asked some friends if there's more than one HJS that i don't know of.

I've been thinking about this too, about what the actual storyline will be like. I'm praying this isn't going to be what I call a "romance in the workplace" drama where they setup the storyline around some flashy, cool occupation like doctors, fashion designers, airline workers or whatever, when it's really the same old draggy, predictable, sappy love story except it takes place in a certain work environment and the only thing that's different about these dramas is the occupation.

Even though I love White Tower, I hope they don't minimalize the "romance" in this drama as much as they did in White Tower. In that drama, I think it was called for and appropriate that they hardly focused on any kind of love stories. It would be really cool if this drama is actually realistic and explores the lobbying world and not always focus on developing love stories like most other dramas do. Thinking about all this makes me even more nervous, because like I said before, it's SBS.. big budget, big names, but they lack in storylines :sweatingbullets:

He reminds me of a wider Jang Hyuk.. but maybe even more attractive! :o

I've never seen him in anything, but I remember he was supposed to be in the drama 101st Proposal until they recast him.

I'm glad I have a chance to see him again. ^_^

I so agree about the Yoo Sun/Lee Yo Won part. I was totally rooting for Yoo Sun, all the way.

Yoo Sun, Kim Yoo Mi, and Moon Jung Hee??

 That's funny you say that, because they were all in the same drama last year, 독신천하.

aaxi6.jpg

Actually, I always get Moon Jung Hee and Yoon Jung Hee mixed up

29313056qx7.jpg

First, the name is similar and they also kind of look alike!

I think Yoo Sun has a particular look unlike most other Korean celebs. I think it's her eyes that are different.

aaams6.png

She's a cute kind of pretty. ^_^

I'm not a huge fan of her, but I think she's a decent actress and capable of this role.

I'm a doomed woman. I will be starring at the screen, wondering which male character I should make off with.... and be trying to fend off all you other girls....

And worst of all, actually trying hard to pay attention to the unfolding of the plot.

I've been thinking about this too, about what the actual storyline will be like. Hehe I'm predicting it'd be like an <All In>. Hopefully better, since they have a much better cast overall than <All In> did. The latter was more unbalanced because actors like Jisung and Song Hyegyo, although good, got crushed down by super powers like Huh Joonho and Lee Byunghun etc. But this cast... No complaint about it whatsoever.

I predeict its going to be a whole lot of brooody hot men trying to negotiate in an enclosed room...:P :P Not dissimilar to <White Tower> but the women here actually seem to have relatively powerful roles as well, so hopefully, more power to the women! Also I have faith in the cast they've assembled that they choose only the top notch scripts and so far production values look like they're excellent. ^_^

July, my July.... come fasterrrrrrr
