PLOT:

It depicts a fateful scandal between a woman who wants to own the world and another woman who risks everything for revenge. 

 

Cast:

Han Chae Young as Moon Jeong In / Moon Gyung Sook 

In the past, She conspired with Min Tae Chang to systematically approach Baek Seol Ah's father, Baek Dong-ho, kill him, and steal all of his assets. With the stolen property, she opened her dream entertainment agency and even changed his name to become Moon Jeong-in, the CEO of Jeongin Entertainment, a drama production company and agency. After becoming CEO, she meets Seo Jin Ho, an aspiring actor who looks exactly like her first love, and becomes attracted to him. Transforms him into top star Jung Woo Jin. However, he was the former lover of Baek Seol Ah, the daughter of her ex-husband and that the writer ‘Park Jin-kyung’. 

Through her drama <Poker Face>, Baek Seol Ah faces the biggest crisis of her life as she feels the knife of revenge being held at her throat.

 

 

Choi Woong as Seo Jin Ho/Jung Woo Jin

Although he fails every audition he participates in, he is an aspiring actor who makes a living through various part-time jobs and dreams of becoming an actor. He promises to marry Baek Seol Ah, whom she has known since childhood, but on the day of her wedding, he becomes involved with Moon Jeong In and disappears in an instant. He later appears in the world again under the name Jung Woo-jin, and makes his brilliant debut as the lead in the drama Poker Face.
After learning that the writer of <Poker Face> is her past lover, Baek Seol Ah, he struggles with the crossroads of love and success.

 

 

 

Han Bo Reum as Baek Seol Ah  

Although she lost her mother right after she was born, she had a happy childhood thanks to her doctor father's economic power and extreme love, but her misfortune began when she met her stepmother, Moon Gyeong Sook, following her father's remarriage. She developed a romantic relationship with Seo Jin Ho, whom she had known since childhood, and promised to marry her.
However, on her wedding day, Jin Ho goes missing, and she later sees him into the entertainment industry as top star Jung Woo Jin. When she learns that her former lover is behind her past stepmother and her daughter Min Joo, who killed her own father, she vows to take cruel revenge.

She took on the pen name 'Park Jin-kyung' and wrote the new drama <Poker Face>, produced by Moon Jeong In's production company, in which she revealed to the world the murder case of her unjustly dead father 20 years ago and created her own story.

 

 

Kim Gyu Seon as Min Joo Ryeon

She is the daughter of Moon Jeong In and the director of Jeong In Entertainment, which she runs. Smart Joo Ryeon has a crush on Seo Jin Ho, an aspiring actor she meets by chance,  she supports Seo Jin Ho both materially and emotionally so that he can establish himself as the top star Jung Woo Jin. She dreams of marrying him, but encounters opposition from her mother, Moon Jeong In.

 

Jeon Seung Bin as Na Hyeon Woo

He is a popular broadcasting celebrity with actor-like looks, intelligence, and excellent eloquence.
While each piece he directed was a box office success and he was receiving love calls from various production companies, he was immediately drawn to the script of Park Jin kyung's <Poker Face> and decided to direct a drama. As he experienced twists and turns during the drama production process, he came to support and love the writer Park JinKung. He isaA character who slowly moves Baek Seol Ah's heart, which was closed due to the wounds of her first love, by sometimes giving advice that is as spicy as cider, and sometimes providing warm consolation.

 

 

Jin Ju Hyung as Kim Seok Gi

He is the junior college student of Min Joo Ryeon and head of Jeongin Entertainment Planning Division. Seok Gi likes Joo Ryeon but does not show on the outside and stands by her silently. 

 

Oh Young Joo as Go Eun Byeol

Although she was born in an orphanage, she was adopted by a wealthy family, graduated from a prestigious university, and currently serves as the director of a skin research institute. She is Baek Seol Ah's best friend.

Kim Jin Woo as Na Seung Woo

After graduating from college, he began directing following his older brother, Na Hyun Woo, and worked as an assistant director, serving as a reliable right-hand man on set. Na Hyun Woo is the only one who talks straight to his older brother, whose shoulders have risen infinitely thanks to his immense popularity. KBS2's new daily drama "Scandal - 2024" has confirmed the casting of Kim Kyu-seon, Jeon Seung-bin, Jin Ju-hyung, Oh Young-joo, Kim Yui and Kim Jin-woo-VII.

"Scandal - 2024", which is scheduled to premiere next month, is a movie about a woman who wants to have the world and another woman who risks everything for revenge.

Director Choi Ji-yeong, who has been recognized for his sensuous visual beauty and immersive directing skills in big works such as "Apple of My Eye" and "The All-Round Wife" and director Hwang Soon-yeong, who has hit movies such as "Red Shoes", "The Great Wives" and "Two Mothers" unite.

In addition to Han Chae-young, Han Bo-reum, and Choi Woong, Kim Kyu-seon, Jeon Seung-bin, Jin Ju-hyung, Oh Young-joo, Kim Yui, and Kim Jin-woo-VII will join the team, drawing attention to their chemistry.

Kim Kyu-seon plays the role of Min Joo-ryeon, the daughter of Moon Jeong-in (Han Chae-young) and the director of Jeong-in Entertainment, which she runs. Smart Joo-ryeon has a crush on Seo Jin-ho (Choi Woong), an aspiring actor she meets by chance. She has appeared in "Game of Witches", "Big Mouth" and "School 2021".

Jeon Seung-bin will turn into star director Na Hyeon-woo. He instantly falls in love with the script of Park Jin-kyung (Han Bo-reum), a new writer who worked on a TV drama contest. During the process of producing the drama, Hyeon-woo and Jin-kyeong go through many twists and turns and become close.

Actor Jin Ju-hyung was cast as Kim Seok-gi, the junior college student of Min Joo-ryeon and head of Jeongin Entertainment Planning Division. Seok-gi likes Joo-ryeon but does not show on the outside and stands by her silently. Oh Young-joo will star as Go Eun-byeol, Baek Seol-ah's best friend and the head of the Skin Experience Research Institute. This is her first acting challenge as she made her public appearance with "Heart Signal 2" in 2018.

In addition, Kim Yui was cast as Baek Seol-ah's cousin and stylist Park Ji-yeon, and Kim Jin-woo-VII as Hyeon-woo's younger brother and assistant director Na Seung-woo.

"Scandal - 2024" will premiere next month as a follow-up to "The Two Sisters".

Me too! I haven't seen that since Don't Go Away, and that was an SBS daily in 2008. The FL there went to prison for 5 years.

Ooooh, I love the poster! Very high-class. A lot of small details there, too.

I do hope Kim Kyu-Sun's acting has improved, because she was terrible in Witch's Game. Maybe a mean antagonist would suit her better.

Based on the previews and character discriptions, this drama has all the character tropes but Ha Bo-Reum isn't the drama's heroic FL and Kim Kyu-Sun isn't the vilianous SFL. If you edit out Han Chae Young character, it looks like Kim Kyu-Sun's character stole Ha Bo-Reum's boyfriend/fiance (who didn't show up on their weding day) and now Ha B-Reum is seekin revenge on her.

Yes. Based on what was given so far, here's how I view it:

• Moon Jeong-In is the villainess and the FL. A villain protagonist who's the source of the conflict.
• Baek Seol-Ah is the second FL and the heroine (or anti-heroine.) She wants revenge on Jeong-In, her stepmother, who ruined her life.
• Min Joo-Ryun is an antagonist (third FL?) She's the antagonist to Seol-Ah and is on her mother Jeong-In's side.
• Seo Jin-Ho is the love interest of Seol-Ah (2nd FL.) Possibly the ML? There's a love triangle between him, Seol-Ah, and Joo-Ryun.
• Na Hyun-Woo is the 2nd ML, in love with Seol-Ah.
• Kim Seok-Gi is the secretary/assistant with secrets, maybe? He is in love with Joo-Ryun but doesn't say anything. Random theory: he's Jeong-In's son. Kinda like Nam-Joon in Left-Handed Wife. There's a love polygon between these characters.

I love the characters' names. This has a lot of parallels to famous makjangs. But it also feels new and refreshing. I'm looking forward to it- I hope I'm not let down like I was with The Two Sisters/In Cold Blood.
