SBS’s upcoming drama “Good Partner” has unveiled its cast lineup!

“Good Partner” is an office and law drama about star lawyer Cha Eun Kyung, for whom divorce is her calling, and rookie lawyer Han Yu Ri, who is new to divorce. The drama will be penned by divorce specialist lawyer Choi Yu Na of the relatable Instagram cartoon “Marriage Red” (literal title), and the drama will be helmed by director Kim Ga Ram of “Nevertheless,” “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” and “Vampire Detective.”

Jang Nara will be playing Cha Eun Kyung, a straightforward and prickly veteran lawyer in her 17th year who every acknowledges. Although dubbed the “Nation’s Divorce Lawyer,” she clashes with rookie lawyer Han Yu Ra, who is her opposite, when she herself becomes at risk of divorce and faces a big transformation.

Regarding her upcoming drama, Jang Nara shared, “The script was really interesting. I’m very happy to work together with a great director and scriptwriter as well as actress Nam Ji Hyun, whom I’ve wanted to act together with.”

Nam Ji Hyun will be playing rookie lawyer Han Yu Ri who is new to divorce. Han Yu Ri constantly clashes with Cha Eun Kyung, who works for the benefit of the company foremost and believes one must dutifully represent event the clients who committed wrongdoings in order to be a true lawyer. Nam Ji Hyun remarked, “This is a project that made me think of human life in diverse directions. I will work hard, so please send lots of support.”

Kim Jun Han will be playing the role of Jung Woo Jin, who is Cha Eun Kyung’s junior colleague and team leader of law firm Daejeong’s Divorce Team 2. Whenever Cha Eun Kyung explodes, he pulls the break, and he has gentle charisma. However, he also faces a change along with Cha Eun Kyung’s divorce crisis. Kim Jun Han shared, “Each and every case is a living reality while also greatly dramatic. Please show lots of anticipation and love.”

Block B’s P.O will be starring as the optimistic lawyer Jeon Eun Ho. After receiving the order to stop the frequent loss of newcomers on the divorce team, he becomes in charge of looking after Han Yu Ri. P.O remarked, “I will be playing the role of a lawyer that is completely different from roles I’ve taken on in the past. Please show lots of interest and support.”

Jang Na-Ra, Nam Ji-Hyun, Kim Joon-Han, & Pyo Ji-Hoon are cast in SBS drama series “Good Partner.” The law themed drama series is set at Law Firm Daejung and all four announced cast members will play lawyers there. Jang Na-Ra and Nam Ji-Hyun will play lead characters who often clash at work due to their personality differences. Filming for the drama series is expected to begin soon.

“Good Partner” will air sometime later this year in South Korea.

SBS released the cast lineup for the upcoming SBS law office K-drama Good Partner. 

On January 16, SBS confirmed that Jang Na Ra, Nam Ji Hyun, Kim Joon Han, and BLOCK B's P.O will be leading the upcoming K-drama Good Partner. They will be working together to showcase a K-drama about divorce lawyers. 

Good Partner will be the next work of director Kim Ga Ram who is known for also creating the K-dramas Nevertheless, Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, Vampire Detective, and more.

The K-drama will depict the stories of divorce lawyers in South Korea. It will showcase their work, own struggles and even their love life. 

Good Partner will premiere within the year. The upcoming K-drama will exclusively premiere on SBS. 

 

 

Jang Na Ra will give life to the character named Cha Eun Kyung. She is a star lawyer who is known for divorce cases. She's a 17 year veteran lawyer who has a straightforward and irritable personality.  She is labeled as the national divorce lawyer but she is also on the verge of divorcing. She will face a new challenge after meeting the new lawyer named Han Yu Ri. 

The character Han Yu Ri will be portrayed by actress Nam Ji Hyun. She is a new lawyer who is also new to divorce cases. She is the total opposite of Cha Eun Kyung. 

Kim Joon Han will portray the role of Jung Woo Jin. He is a divorce lawyer and Cha Eun Kyung's junior. He is part of the second team of the law firm Daejeong. He does not hesitate to criticize Cha Eun Kyung. 

Lastly, P.O will play the character named Jeon Eun Ho, the optimist lawyer. He will also be the mentor of Han Yu Ri in the firm.

The streak of bad husbands continues for Jang Nara (My Happy Ending) as she joins SBS’s legal drama Good Partner. The show centers around divorce attorney Cha Eun-kyung (Jang Nara) who isn’t just good at her job but sees it as her calling. After working for 17 years, Eun-kyung may be the “national divorce attorney,” but no title can prevent her own impending separation from her husband.

Enter her complete opposite, rookie attorney Han Yuri played by Nam Ji-hyun (High Cookie). Yuri is the quintessential young pup who can’t stand injustice, but her ideologies put her at odds with Eun-kyung who believes the firm’s profit comes first and an attorney’s role is to serve their client no matter what crimes they commit. On May 30, Jang Na Ra, Nam Ji Hyun, Kim Joon Han, P.O, Ji Seung Hyun, and Han Jae Yi were all present for the first script reading of the upcoming K-drama Good Partner. Through this, it was also confirmed that the series will air its first episode on July 12, Friday, at 10 PM KST. 

Good Partner will showcase the happenings at a human court office where star divorce lawyer Cha Eun Kyung and rookie divorce lawyer Han Yu Ri meet. It will showcase the dilemmas that take place in the separation of families through divorce. 

The upcoming K-drama will be the latest work of director Kim Ga Ram (Nevertheless,  and Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency) and writer Choi Yoo Na.   Many are already anticipating the series because writer Choi Yoo Na is a well-known divorce lawyer in South Korea.

One’s a rookie while the other’s a veteran with nearly two decades of experience — though they’re both competent at what they do, they take such different approaches that they inevitably clash. Still, there’s no growth without discomfort, and their conflict will spur them to become truly good partners.

Jang Nara (My Happy Ending) stars as the renowned attorney Cha Eun-kyung, who has 17 years of experience under her belt. Hailed as a “star attorney,” Eun-kyung has earned widespread recognition through her skills, even though her straightforward nature sometimes manifests in a prickly demeanor. While she’s grown adept at handling divorce cases, Eun-kyung soon finds herself at a loss when her own marriage is hit with a crisis — and amidst this time of chaos, her disagreements with the new rookie open the door to a new path.

Said newbie is the righteous Han Yuri, played by Nam Ji-hyun (High Cookie). In contrast to Eun-kyung, who prioritizes the interests of the firm and her clients above all else, Yuri’s strict moral compass won’t let her close one eye to injustice. Rounding out the law firm quartet, we have the optimistic attorney Jeon Eun-ho — played by Pyo Ji-hoon (Mouse) — who champions a “working love balance,” LOL. Eun-ho may seek to maintain the equilibrium between work and his personal life, but the scales soon tip when Yuri joins the law firm. In an effort to prevent Yuri from becoming yet another new recruit that quits quickly, Eun-ho resolves to watch her like a hawk — only for her work ethic to inspire a realization about the true meaning of his career.

As for our supporting cast, Ji Seung-hyun (The Goryeo-Khitan War) plays Kim Ji-sang, Eun-kyung’s husband and a medical consultant at her law firm. Though he’s devoted himself to taking care of Eun-kyung’s wellbeing, he soon grows weary — and his wavering may have something to do with Eun-kyung’s secretary Choi Sara, played by Han Jae-yi (Mask Girl). Child actress Yuna's next project is officially confirmed.

On June 5, it was officially confirmed that Yuna would be joining Jang Na Ra, Nam Ji Hyun, Kim Joon Han, P.O., Ji Seung Hyun, and Han Jae Yi for the upcoming K-drama Good Partner. 

Good Partner will tell the happenings at a human court office where star divorce lawyer Cha Eun Kyung and rookie divorce lawyer Han Yu Ri meet. The series will reveal the dilemmas that take place in the separation of families through divorce. 

Director Kim Ga Ram (Nevertheless,  and Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency) and writer Choi Yoo Na will work together to create the upcoming series.  It will be produced by Studio S and Studio &New.

Yuna will portray the role of Kim Jae Hee. She is the daughter of Jang Na Ra's character Cha Eun Kyung and Ji Seung Hyun's character Ji Sang in the series. She is a lonely child who does not have much time with her mother. Despite this, she is considerate of her peers. 

Good Partner will be part of SBS' Friday and Saturday K-drama timeslot. The K-drama will begin airing starting on July 12 at 10 PM KST. It will have a total of 16 episodes. 

 

 

Yuna started her acting career in 2018. She appeared in the movie Student A. She then ventured to K-dramas in 2021 through the hit Netflix original series Hellbound led by Yoo Ah In, Kim Hyun Joo, Yang Ik Jun, Park Jeong Min, Won Jin Ah, and Ryu Kyung Soo. 

She was also part of the K-dramas Pachinko and Green Mothers' Club and the films Stone Skipping and Juror 8. 

Last year, Yuna impressed everyone with her brilliant acting in the ENA K-drama The Kidnapping Day. She also showcased great chemistry with Yoon Kye Sang and Park Sung Hoon in the series.

SBS has dropped its first teaser for upcoming legal drama Good Partner, starring Jang Nara (My Happy Ending) and Nam Ji-hyun (High Cookie) as polar opposite divorce attorneys. Though their clashing interests put them at odds, sometimes differences can lead to growth, and as the title suggests, our two leading ladies eventually learn to become good partners while working together.

As the firm’s star attorney, Cha Eun-kyung (Jang Nara) struts into the office with her head held high while the rest of the staff bow and look up to her. Known for her strict personality, Eun-kyung goes through new hires at an alarming rate, and her colleague points out that three left just last month because of her. Her response to their mass quitting: “Kids these days are so weak.”

 

To fill in this gap, newbie Han Yuri (Nam Ji-hyun) joins the team, and fellow attorney Jeon Eun-ho, played by Pyo Ji-hoon (Mouse), welcomes her with a bright smile and congratulations. Yuri, though, is confused about her new position, and her nervousness only gets worse when she meets Eun-kyung who berates her for even staring in her direction.

Everything Yuri does seems to irritate Eun-kyung, and the veteran attorney mockingly asks her junior if she happens to be a social justice warrior. Even when Yuri assures a client to just trust her, Eun-kyung scoffs and repeats her words with derision.

However, things take a turn when our two attorneys face against a crowd of reporters, and Yuri says that they can’t go back to hell. Instead, she suggests punishing them, and as if responding to her answer, Eun-kyung replies, “I like it.” Unfortunately, things will probably remain bumpy for a while between these two since the teaser then ends with Yuri worriedly asking if she means her.

Directed by Kim Ga-ram (Nevertheless) and written by divorce attorney Choi Yoo-na, SBS’s Good Partner is slated for sixteen episodes and premieres July 12 in the Friday-Saturday slot.

Wow! It was quicker than I expected. We've got another Jang Nara drama?? Thank you so much @larus for starting the thread. I am so looking forward for her acting in this one. Didn't know she is playing as a married woman again?? Do we have any romance in the series?? Is it only an office drama about law and so on? Hope to hear more info!

Jang Nara plays a lawyer specialized in divorce cases and she is a married woman and a mother of a teenage girl. She will need herself a divorce lawyer so I doubt there is romance. But It is not a dark series either.  

The central theme will be the women partnership which I like a lot.

Jang Na Ra and Nam Ji Hyun are complete opposites in Good Partner.

Good Partner tells the story of star divorce lawyer Cha Eun Kyung (Jang Na Ra) and rookie lawyer Han Yoo Ri (Nam Ji Hyun). The show portrays the dilemmas people experience when they face an unexpected breakup that was not part of their life plans and when their family breaks up. It is expected to deliver empathy and catharsis as it follows divorce lawyers striving to make the best choices in the harsh game of life.

The teaser starts with Cha Eun Kyung making a charismatic entrance into her office, receiving standing greetings from everyone. Her tough character is hinted at when she sharply remarks "Too weak" in response to the comment about new recruits frequently quitting due to the tough work environment.

The teaser also captures rookie lawyer Han Yoo Ri taking her first steps into the law firm Daejung. She incredulously asks, "Are I really a new member of the divorce team?"

Cha Eun Kyung and Han Yoo Ri are shown constantly clashing. Han Yoo Ri's bewildered expression in response to Cha Eun Kyung's storm of criticism, such as "Is that all you thought of to prove your case? What are you, an apostle for justice, a social worker?" evokes humor and pity.

However, the headstrong rookie Han Yoo Ri never gets intimidated. 

The clash between Han Yoo Ri, who passionately tries to defend her right to speak in court, and Cha Eun Kyung, who tries to stop her, piques intrigue. Furthermore, Han Yoo Ri's confidence shines as she says, "Just trust me," leaving Cha Eun Kyung dumbfounded. Curiosity arises whether these two, with such different values, can become each other's Good Partners.

SBS’s upcoming drama “Good Partner” has unveiled its first teaser video!

 

“Good Partner” is an office and law drama about star lawyer Cha Eun Kyung (Jang Nara), for whom divorce is her calling, and rookie lawyer Han Yu Ri (Nam Ji Hyun), who is new to divorce. The drama will be penned by divorce specialist lawyer Choi Yu Na of the relatable Instagram cartoon “Marriage Red” (literal title), and the drama will be helmed by director Kim Ga Ram of “Nevertheless,” “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” and “Vampire Detective.”

 

Jang Nara will be playing Cha Eun Kyung, a straightforward and prickly veteran lawyer in her 17th year. Although dubbed the “Nation’s Divorce Lawyer,” she clashes with rookie lawyer Han Yu Ri, who is her opposite, when she herself becomes at risk of divorce and faces a big transformation.

 

In the newly released teaser, Cha Eun Kyung is depicted striding confidently into her office. When she learns that a slew of new employees quit their jobs due to her harsh leadership, she bluntly remarks, “That’s because they’re weak,” signifying just how tough her character is.

 

The teaser goes on to capture Han Yu Ri asking, “Am I really assigned as a new member of the divorce team?” as if she cannot believe it. Then, Cha Eun Kyung corners Yu Ri with a series of questions, “That’s all you have as evidence? Are you some kind of hero of justice or a social worker?” However, Yu Ri doesn’t back down easily. Han Yu Ri fervently tries to assert her right to speak in the courtroom while Eun Kyung is busy trying to stop her.

 

Yet, a later scene portrays the moment of their agreement. Han Yu Ri conveys determination to win the case, saying, “We’ll have to teach them a lesson,” and Cha Eun Kyung replies, “I like it,” with satisfaction, raising curiosity about how their relationship will develop as the story unfolds.
