As Shin Cha Il steps inside the building with an expression of fierce determination, it becomes clear that his reputation precedes him, with one employee asking another, “No way… is that the legendary audit team leader?”

The Auditors is centered around the audit team of JU Construction, where corruption runs rampant. The drama follows Shin Cha Il (Shin Ha Kyu), the leader of JU Construction's audit team who comes to clean out the "rats" eating away at the company, and Gu Han Soo (Lee Jung Ha), a new team member known for his kindness and warm-hearted demeanor.

The teaser shows Shin Cha Il ready to uproot the deeply entrenched evil within JU Construction. He has a cool demeanor and carries out his work with sharp judgment and decisive action. The audit team also includes rookie employee Goo Han-Soo (Lee Jung-Ha). He initially applied for the audit team as a stepping stone to get transferred to his company’s Florida branch, but his plan is not easy because of Shin Cha-Il. Unlike his boss, Goo Han-Soo is a nice and warm-hearted person. Working with Shin Cha-Il, Goo Han-Soo grows as an audit team member.

Meanwhile Hwang Dae-Woong (Jin Goo) is the vice president of JU Construction and he is third son of the company’s founder. His ambition is to become the president of the company, by beating his two older brothers for the position.

Yoon Seo-Jin (Jo A-Ram) is also a rookie employee on the audit team at JU Construction. She is an individualist who aims for success. She has a totally opposite personality from Goo Han-Soo. Shin Cha Il is the head of the audit team who does not trust people. He relentlessly pursues embezzlers and corrupt people who exploit the trust of employees for personal gain, never letting a target escape once identified.

Hunting rats with The Auditors’ head cat Shin Ha-kyun

With his files prepped and neatly packed, a suave Shin Ha-kyun (Evilive) greets us in the newest poster and teaser for tvN’s The Auditors, where we’ll be following our title’s team as they investigate into company operations.

Despite what can seem like a tedious job, the office comedy’s new promos allow our team leader Shin Cha-il (Shin Ha-kyun) all the fittings of a hero, snazzed up in a sharp, navy suit as his thundering steps take him into the building. It’s all very ~serious~ as the background music goes above and beyond, hilariously ensuring that Cha-il is given the utmost gravity and importance.

 

As the camera follows Cha-il through the lobby, we also meet a shocked Lee Jung-ha (Moving) and Jo Ah-ram (Doctor Cha) on a coffee break who will soon be working under our hero. But while both are struck momentarily speechless, we hear Gu Han-soo (Lee Jung-ha) think to himself in voiceover, “It can’t be… the legendary auditing team leader?”

Through the captions, we take a peek into Cha-il’s calculating brain as he scans through all the budget figures to sniff out misuses of money. Once embezzlement is confirmed, of course, it’s a one way ticket to employment termination. As Cha-il finally swipes his card to enter the office proper, the teaser closes with his fervent resolve: “I’m going to clean out all the dirty rats extorting from the company.”

In the upcoming drama, the Moving actor plays Gu Han Soo, a passionate rookie employee at JU Construction. Having grown up showered with love by his parents, he has a positive outlook on life and considers world a beautiful place. Having dreamt of becoming a white hat hacker since childhood, he's skilled at computer operations.  

Han Soo works diligently in the audit team, dreaming of being transferred to JU Construction's Florida branch, where he can find a work-life balance.

The newly released teaser for the drama kicks off with Shin Cha Il confidently striding down the office corridor as Gu Han Soo bows to a colleague and says, “Thank you,” which sounds exactly the same as the Korean phrase “We’re auditing.”

The Auditors mean business in new teaser

It’s auditing season over at tvN’s upcoming drama The Auditors. Starring Shin Ha-kyun (Evilive), the teaser gives us a brief look at what goes on in the life of the incredibly beloved job of an auditor.

The teaser hinges on the the pun that also forms the basis of this drama’s Korean name: gamsahamnida. It means “thank you” but also “I’m going to audit you,” which in this drama’s context perfectly conveys the double entendre of having someone hand you an annoying tax document with a customer service smile.

 

We open on our two junior auditors — Gu Han-soo, played by Lee Jung-ha (Moving), and Yoon Seo-jin, played by Jo Ah-ram (Doctor Cha) — retrieving documents from their fellow employees while saying gamsahamnida<(thank you). While Han-soo, the ambitious ladder-climbing hopeful, collects while giving a cheery bow to his colleagues, his co-auditor Seo-jin is more on the no-nonsense side of things, calmly taking documents with a curt nod. After the two catch up with Shin Cha-il (Shin Ha-kyun), their company's top dog auditor with a knack for uncovering weaselly behavior, they head down into the office of JU Construction's Vice President Hwang Dae-woong, played by Jin Gu (Shadow Detective). He’s a man on a mission to inherit his company, with a bold hairdo to boot, and as our trio enters the room, he ends his phone call with a smarmy gamsahamnida (thank you) to his caller.

Clearly this man has been reveling in some shady dealings, but the party comes to a halt as Cha-il strides to his desk and hits him with our final gamsahamnida (get wrecked I’m going to audit you).
