Based on a webtoon, “A Good Day to Be a Dog” is a fantasy romance drama about Han Hae Na (Park Gyu Young), a woman who is cursed to transform into a dog when she kisses a man. However, the only person who can undo her curse is her colleague Jin Seo Won (ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo), who is afraid of dogs due to a traumatic event he can no longer remember.

Previously, Hae Na started to help Jin Seo Won overcome his fear of dogs, suggesting they meet up together outside to work on conquering his fear together.

 

At the end of episode 4, a dog started to run in their direction, but Hae Na protected Seo Won with her warm actions and words.

 

Ahead of the upcoming episode, the newly released stills depict Hae Na and Seo Won gazing affectionately at each other. In the photos, Hae Na looks at Seo Won with concern as he falls into a state of sadness. Worried, Hae Na quietly stays by Seo Won’s side to comfort him.

 

 

Seo Won also appears to be overwhelmed with emotions, and his gaze starts to waver at Hae Na’s comforting words. Eventually, he reaches out to grab Hae Na’s wrist, making viewers wonder what happened to Seo Won.

MBC’s “A Good Day to Be a Dog” will air back-to-back episodes this Wednesday!

 

On November 13, the production team of “A Good Day to Be a Dog” confirmed that Episodes 5 and 6 would be broadcast consecutively on November 15. This scheduling adjustment comes as a follow-up measure after the once-a-week drama was canceled twice due to the broadcast of the 2023 KBO (Korea Baseball Organization) postseason.

On November 14, it was revealed that Kim Min Seok will make a special appearance in “A Good Day to Be a Dog” to show support for director Kim Dae Woong, whom he met through the web drama “Start Up the Engine.”

 

Kim Min Seok will play the role of Kang Eun Hwan, a character who persistently bullied Jin Seo Won (Cha Eun Woo), who is afraid of dogs, during their school days.

It's amazing how ratings rise when the show is actually on air! 

 

That said, I remember again how cute this show is. I wish they aired twice a week. Even though I read the entire webtoon while waiting on new updates, I still think that the drama version brings its own charm. 

 

Oh, and I have to give a nod to the visuals. The light and the color palette really are enjoyable to look at. I saw someone in the comments on Viki note that a lot of it is blue and yellow, which are the only colors that dogs can apparently see. So it's nice that someone thought about details like this when creating the drama.

Based on a webtoon, “A Good Day to Be a Dog” is a fantasy romance drama about Han Hae Na (Park Gyu Young), a woman who is cursed to transform into a dog when she kisses a man. However, the only person who can undo her curse is her colleague Jin Seo Won (ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo), who is afraid of dogs due to a traumatic event he can no longer remember.

 

Lee Hyun Woo stars as Lee Bo Kyum, a Korean history teacher who is colleagues with Jin Seo Won and Han Hae Na, and Kim Yi Kyung plays the mysterious high school student Min Ji Ah, who discovers that Jin Seo Won, Han Hae Na, and Lee Bo Kyum’s lives have been intertwined since their past lives.

 

The released stills depict Jin Seo Won, Han Hae Na, Lee Bo Kyum, and Min Ji Ah on a school field trip. In the first set of stills, Seo Won and Ji Ah are captured standing side by side, Han Hae Na is smiling brightly while holding the school trip flag, and Bo Kyum has a cold look on his face as he stares at someone.
