JTBC's Miss Night and Day soared to its highest viewership of 7.66% (nationwide) and 8.21% (metropolitan) for episode 6, its highest so far. The K-drama commenced with a nationwide rating of 3.99%, and almost every subsequent episode has brought it a new personal record. 

Miss Night and Day has also made its way onto Netflix's Global Top 10 list (non-English). As of June 23, the K-drama ranked sixth on the list.

JTBC’s “Miss Night and Day” has shared insight into Lee Jung Eun and Baek Seo Hoo’s bond!

 

“Miss Night and Day” is a romantic comedy starring Apink’s Jeong Eun Ji as young job seeker Lee Mi Jin, who suddenly finds herself trapped in the body of a 50-year-old woman (Lee Jung Eun), and Choi Jin Hyuk as skilled prosecutor Gye Ji Woong, who becomes entangled with her. The drama is helmed by director Lee Hyeong Min of the hit series “I’m Sorry, I Love You” and “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.”

Im Soon met Go Won (Baek Seo Hoo) at Seohan District Prosecutors’ Office where she works as a senior intern. Go Won, a top idol who is 30 years younger than Im Soon, is serving as a public service worker due to past issues with drug abuse. Their relationship took a special turn when Im Soon saved Go Won from an attack by internet trolls attempting to harm him with sulfuric acid.

Grateful for Im Soon’s intervention, Go Won showered her with an overwhelming number of gifts, but Im Soon’s quirky response was to return them all, sparking a cute and humorous dynamic between the two. Instead of material gifts, they opted for daily coffee breaks where they could slowly build a close relationship. Im Soon’s genuine support and occasional comforting words deeply resonated with Go Won and the viewers.

 

 

However, as their bond grew stronger, Im Soon’s secret double life began to unravel.

 

When Go Won followed Im Soon after work, he discovered Lee Mi Jin, the young woman who emerges when Im Soon reverts to her original self after sunset. How Go Won’s curiosity about Im Soon and Mi Jin will impact their complex relationship remains to be seen in upcoming episodes.

However, when Go Won (Baek Seo Hoo) said something to her that implied he knew her secret, Im Soon froze and ultimately wound up fainting in his arms. As Im Soon changed back into Lee Mi Jin, Gye Ji Woong happened to catch sight of Baek Seo Hoo holding her just before she fell unconscious.

 

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, both Gye Ji Woong and Go Won accompany Lee Mi Jin to the hospital. Due to Gye Ji Woong arresting Go Won on drug charges, the two men already got off on the wrong foot in Seoul—and things only get worse when they engage in a tense battle of nerves over Lee Mi Jin in the emergency room.

 

Caught between the two men, Lee Mi Jin attempts to ease the friction between them with an awkward smile. To make this uncomfortable situation even worse, Lee Mi Jin has a lot of explaining to do: not only does she need to explain her double life to Go Won, but she also needs to clarify her relationship with Go Won to Gye Ji Woong.

@tulip06 @CarolynH @booha Am still playing catch-up with this drama. Just finished ep 4, and am planning on watching ep 5 today.

 

Generally, I find the drama fun. Lim Sun is my favorite character! Lee Jung Eun is playing her perfectly, and I find myself laughing at her antics. She was so cute when she was giving out candies (like a true ahjumma) to everyone.

 

Is it just me or is the idol guy a bit smitten by Lim Sun? I mean, maybe he views her as his long lost mom or smth? But he seems to actually like her in a different way? Is it romantic?

 

Am gonna be honest and reveal that I'm not particularly fond of Lee Mi Jin's character. I find her character a bit boring and I also don't really like how she's acting. In one of the first episodes she opened Gye Ji Woong's envelope and read the case files (that then scattered all over the ground, one landing on the serial killer's car window). What business does she have opening other people's envelopes? 😡 In ep 4 she keeps fangirling over Gye Ji Woong (a bit early for that, no?) and don't get me started on how stupid she was going into the VIP room in the club. Also, the way she was acting there got me facepalming.

 

Nope, am watching this drama for Lim Sun! She's the GOAT.

Yup LeeJungEun is truly amazing.  She is a big screen actress and her talent shows on the character Lim Sun. I read how hard she practiced dancing like Jung Eun Ji.  Also, as Lim Sun is Min Jin, she is able to capture and show wonderfully something about Jung Eun Ji in Lim Sun.  
Idol Ko Won has a problem with a  stalker (?) and he is secretly taking a prescription which Lim Sun discovered  by accident but she assured him she would keep it secret.  After their talks they got sort of bonded or he became attached to her...
