Season 2 of the hit 2023 drama “The Escape of the Seven,” which told the revenge story about a man who dreams of becoming the king of a castle built on fake news, “The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection” will depict the counterattack of the seven people, who returned from hell, against new evil that held hands with Matthew Lee (Uhm Ki Joon).

 

The newly released highlight video previews a world covered in lies. Matthew Lee turns into national hero Lee Hwi So while Min Do Hyuk (Lee Joon) becomes serial murder suspect Shim Jun Seok. Their changed identities and relationship structure give an idea of the death game that will take place in the new season.

 

Min Do Hyuk, a wanted criminal, majestically walks into the company lobby, stimulating curiosity as to what enables him to reveal himself to the world. The text that reads, “I came back as a fake to catch a fake,” raises anticipation for what Min Do Hyuk will do to punish the evil Matthew Lee.

It's like the writer thought not having a Shim Su-Ryeon type of a character in Season 1 was not very good, so she decided to turn La-Hui into this Shim Su-Ryeon type character which is somewhat bothersome since La-Hui spent all of Season 1 as a Cheon Seo-Jin type character.

  Reveal hidden contents

 

 

Medusa should had been Han Monet? Why, you ask? Because of narrative from Season 1. Han Monet at the end of the season, found out that her daughter was alive. She was told by Hana's adopted mother that she was te one that should take care of Hana. If she doesn't then K would harm Hana. 

 

Monet then tells Michelle at the warehouse about the truth about K and about Hana. It was a sign that this character wanted to be redeemed and she would then join forces with Min Hyuk to fight K. 

 

Until the end of last episode, where she seeminly betrayed Min Hyuk and joined forces with K... but did she really?

 

Medusa could of been Monet's mask, to use to help Min Hyuk while using him to find her daughter. Who disappeared with Monet's mother.

 

Meanwhile, Monet puts on a facade that she's on K and La Hui's side. Everything that happened to Monet in the first two episodes can still happen while she is Medusa. 

 

La Hui's sudden character change makes no sense. There was no sign of her wanting to be redeemed throughout the first season. The last thing she did was kidnap the doctor and the cop for K before being betrayed herself and locked in the building. Before that, she was caught in the backstage room fighting with K demanding where Chairman Grandpa's money was.

 

La Hui acted like Cheon Seo-Jin throughout Season 1. Now you want us to expect that she's Shim Su-Ryeon from Penthouse Season 1 pretending to be with her husband's side while trying to find who killed her daughter?  

 

Sorry about going on a little rant.

The sight of him taking off Shim Joon Seok’s mask and telling Matthew Lee, “You’ve done well in getting me out to this world,” provided catharsis to viewers.

 

The newly released stills capture the deepened rift within the community of Matthew Lee and the villains. Cha Joo Ran (Shin Eun Kyung) and Go Myung Ji (Jo Yoon Hee) appear to be surprised at something while Yang Jin Mo (Yoon Jong Hoon) and Nam Chul Woo (Jo Jae Yoon) are busy tussling each other.
