What Is Song Il Kook’s Wish for the New Year?

Actor, father, and husband Song Il Kook will be sharing his wish for the new year on this week’s broadcast of KBS2TV’s “Superman Returns.”
Titled “In Between Anxiety and Excitement,” the episode airing on January 4 will show Song Il Kook and his lovely triplets’ staying at a traditional ryokan and taking a dip in a hot spring during their visit to Japan.
To prepare themselves for the hot spring experience, the triplets got into their birthday suits and stepped out of the dressing room, only to realize that the air feels freezing against their bare skin. The triplets started shouting “It’s cold~ It’s cold~” and twisted their bodies from side to side, making their father laugh at the desperate yet adorable sight. However, as soon as they reached the hot spring and touched the water with their toes, the three started yelling “It’s hot~ It’s hot~” and evoked laughter again with their dramatic reaction.
It didn’t take long for Dae Han, Min Gook, and Man Se to realize that the water is actually pleasantly warm, and Song Il Gook used the opportunity to share his wish for the new year with the happy and satisfied children. The father revealed he hopes the new year brings him less diapers and more requests to visit the toilet.
“Guys, please stop using diapers this year and help open up a new world for daddy,” Song Il Kook said to his three sons. Unfortunately, his wish fell on deaf ears, and the triplets continued to play with water like nothing happened. Seeing this, Song Il Kook asked the youngest, “Man Se~ Are you now ready to go diaper-free?” to which Man Se replied by shaking his head in denial while letting out a cute “Aing~” while making his father burst in laughter.

Song Il Kook Reveals Who the Triplets Take After in “Superman Returns”

“Superman Returns” Song Il Kook described who his triplets take after: “Min Gook takes after his mom, while Dae Han takes after his dad.”
On KBS2’s “Superman Returns,” aired on January 4, Song Il Kook and the triplets traveled around Japan.
While in the car, Min Gook hummed pop songs along the way. Song Il Kook said, “I was so surprised. Their grandmother on their mom’s side said that Min Gook resembles his mom a lot from when she was young.”


He added, “Dae Han takes after me. Man Se, on the other hand, is just a free spirit,” causing the viewers to break out in laughter.
Meanwhile, the triplets proved their singing skills one morning by using the microphone stationed in their room to sing children songs.

“Superman Returns” Man Se Cracks His Dad Up with a Punny Age Joke


The youngest of Song Il Kook’s triplets, Man Se, cracked his dad up with an unintentional but brilliant age joke.
On the January 4 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s reality show “Superman Returns,” actor Song Il Kook and his triplets, Dae Han, Min Gook, and Man Se, continued their vacation in Japan. On the way back to their lodgings after a trip to the aquarium, Song Il Kook showed Man Se a white dolphin doll and asked, “How old are you?” or “How many ‘se’ are you (“se” is an age counter in Korean)?”
Man Se gave an adorable, unknowingly punny answer, “Man Se is ‘man’ ‘se.’”
“Man” denotes the number 10,000 in Korean, so Man Se was essentially saying “Man Se is 10,000 years old.” The joke is extra punny because Man Se’s name, which means “long live,” is a homonym of its own. It is spelled and pronounced identically with man se, the Korean phrase for 10,000 years.
Song Il Kook cracked up at his son’s unexpected answer, and obligingly agreed, “Man Se is man se.”

Song Il-gook's grown-up triplets

The real value of "Superman Is Back" was 'growth'.

Song Il-gook looked happily at his triplets who'd grown up so much throughout the show.

Dae-han, Man-se and Min-gook had a good time with a dolphin they met in the outdoor aquarium. They said hello to the dolphins and even patted them. The triplets fed the dolphins, too but didn't seem scared at all. It meant a lot since they were scared to death in the dinosaur experience they had recently.

Song Il-gook said, "Dae-han was very scared of the dinosaur and cried a lot. This time he wasn't. I was surprised. It was one of the best moments of the Japanese trip".

Not only that, the triplets showered themselves and did almost everything on their own.

Song Il-gook visited the springs with the triplets and they ran around naked. It was surprising to see how much they'd grown up.

They managed to wash themselves without the help of their father. They even washed their own hair.

"Superman Is Back" stands for childcare. In the middle of it, are the children of the Supermen who seem to mature every day.

The triplets proved the value of the show by showing that they no longer cried in front of a dinosaur and were able to have fun with the dolphin although they met a real one for the first time in their lives.

This week's episode of "Superman Is Back" showed that the Super daddies were maturing with their children.

Guest will visit Song family next episode is famous baseball player Ryu Hyun Jin and I remember the news said his mother's living in the same building with SIK.  If you watch Running Man, you can see him as one of the regular guest on that show. His current RM episode was episode 227 and just aired 2 weeks ago. I don't really like the idea about having guests but it does happen on occasion. And, He's really cute and funny on RM so I'm looking forward to see how he and triplets interact with each other.
