Hi quest021006! Just noticed your post here. Glad you brought up the subject of Rondo. Indeed, I agree that before I viewed the drama I did my research and read postings in the Rondo thread where there were all sorts of reactions, some pretty strong ones, about the drama and all its flaws plus all the nasty stories about Jiwoo's supposedly behind-the-scene drama queen antics thrown in for good measure.

Hi, Hanihash:

What I meant was the rating. Some Chinese newspaper and magazines linked CJW's name in the title to report the "low" ratings of Rondo and now for Air City. I think that's unfair and misleading.

As a CJW supporter, actually I didn't enjoy watching Rondo. I guess I just don't like to watch that kind of story. Same as in the begining of Air City episode 1, it's a bit scary to me. I know CJW wanted to try different characters so I give her my support. Although she is not yet a great actress, I know she is willing to work hard to improve herself. Hopefully in the rest of the Air City episodes, we could see some good performance again.

I enjoy reading your post and many others as well.

Epi 11 summary

위조 지폐범 세르게이가 살해당하기 전 러시아마피아들과 접촉한 사실을 알아낸 지

성(이정재)은 마피아들을 진압하지만 별다른 단서를 찾지 못하고, 슈퍼노트(위조지

폐)사건은 점점 더 미궁 속으로 빠져든다.

JS discovers that before the counterfeiter Sergei is murdered, that the Russian mafia had already made contact and although the mafia is subdued, no real clues are found and the case of the counterfeit money becomes even more mysterious.

도경(최지우)과 대화 중 매일 홍콩은행에서 공항은행으로 신권이 들어온다는 사실

을 알게 된 지성은 운송과정을 직접 눈으로 확인하겠다고 한다. 그러자 하준(이진욱)

은 보안팀을 의심하는 지성에게 강한 반발을 하고, 그에 비해 도경은 협조적으로 대

한다.

While in conversation with DK, JS discovers that bank notes are being transferred daily from a Hong Kong bank to the one at the airport and JS tells her that he’ll have to check the delayed or lost goods in transit with his two own eyes. Upon hearing that, HJ opposes, thinking that JS feels uncertain about the security team and tells him that DK will act fairly.

Epi 12 Summary

공항 보안등급이 강화돼 작전에 차질을 빚게 된 위조 지폐범들은 시스템에 혼란을

주기 위해 폭발물로 위장한 가방을 공항 내 여기저기 흘린다. 또다시 공항은 혼선을

빚게 되고, 용의자의 의도를 파악한 지성(이정재)은 다음 날, 홍콩에서 들어온 달러

의 운송과정을 다시 한 번 살피겠다고 한다.

Due to the beefed up security at the airport, the counterfeiters try to cause chaos to the system by placing explosives in camaflouged bags and drops them here and there through the airport. The airport gets entangled again and JS realizes that they were being intentionally used by the criminals. Next day, JS states that he will look for the dollars from Hong Kong through the lost and delayed goods in transit.

Because of the entanglement of the intentional explosives, in the end, the counterfeiters are successful in switching the counterfeit money with the real ones. But as luck would have it, Superintendent Uhm, while passing innocently by the crime scene, warns the counterfeiters who are throwing the carts aside and then becomes threatened by them…

Love love this drama.It's really unique and cool.Although it became like American FBI thingy but it has its own asian way that's why i love this drama so much.Choi Jiwoo and Lee Jungjae are the coolest at their works.I'ts also not like other same brother sister, comedy, or rich &poor love story.It really fits in reality

Thanks for the clarification quest021006. I understand how you feel. Rondo was very Japanese in flavour really. As apple red explained about the ratings, it didn't do too badly though. If you compare audience taste, the highest ratings ever accorded for a J-drama was for Takuya Kimura's potrayal of a funky, off-beat prosecutor "Hero" where as in Korea, I think the highest rated between 2000 till now is Dae Jang Geum. Prior to that was the drama "First Love" with BYJ I think. So maybe it has a lot to do with viewers taste.

We had a long discussion about the ratings of AirCity on this thread earlier and I decided not to worry too much about that. Hopefully the producers will take heed and really tighten up the next six episodes. I also decided I'm tuning out my brain for a bit. Brain! Roger and out!

I saw the trailer for Episode 11 and it looks awesome with some clubbing scene where KJS and HDK are giving each other the "eye" treatment.......I can't wait!

Meanwhile, DK goes to see MW for a headache but while there, MW tells DK that she wishes both JS and DK well in their relationship but…

Parties concerned of joint production company ‘A Story’ clarified it, saying that, "It is a low possibility that such event will happen. So it’s a rarity and exception to show to the public through broadcasting how to attempt the blast facilities. This is also a first time to try blasting in the airport".

When the explosive is discovered within the airport or in the airplane, it will be moved to special isolation spot designed so as not to cause big damage even if it explodes.

Just finished watching ep. 11....

i cant appreciate it well coz i dont understand 99% of what they were saying...

but, as usual, they're all busy making the airport run smooth and crime free..

one thing for sure, i'm quite disappointed with the supposedly "moment" of JS and DK together... *sigh*

i've already thot of 101 things that cud have made it a mcsteamy & mcdreamy scene..

oh well... back to laughing my heart out watching X-man.....
