6.30am! Good morning!

I learnt my lesson well and decided to read all the comments here before i watch the preview. At least I am mentally prepared for what's to come. My weak heart can only take so much! 

RO still has her bun up so i think the "bed" scene is just another innocent hugging scene ... Again! 

How long are they going to make CP and RO just talk talk stare stare hug hug??!! Total of 18 episodes.. KBS should  at least have a kiss scene every 6 episodes?! 

Arrrrghhhhhh... Back to the waiting game.

@pyoyong I have NEVER, EVER got sooooooo frustrated with an online quiz! Tried so many times, chose so many variations and still i get no CP or YS!!! This quiz really really makes my blood boil and blood pressure goes sky high. I even muttered angry words under my breath.

Actually I have a soft spot for him knowing that he allowed himself to be pushed around not because he was weak but because of his fear for his son's safety. • Yeong jealous scene: 2 (ep 7, 10) -> 2/12 = 1/6

• Any huge physical contacts (ie. hugs/bridal-style carry/sitting on laps/piggy-back ride/head-resting-on-lap, head-resting-on-shoulder, etc.): 3 (episode 1, 6, 12) + 1 (ep 12) + 1 (ep 12) + 1 (ep 10) + 1 (ep 10) + 1 (ep 8) = 7 -> 7/12

•  

  Holding hands: 7 (ep 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12) -> 7/12

• Cute stares/while giggling: 3 (ep 10, 11, 12) -> 3/12 = 1/4

•  

  Yeong watching Raon sleeps: 2 (ep 5, 10) = 2/12 = 1/6

• Stroking cheeks/face touching (ie. including wiping tears, eye-brow touching BUT NOT flicking on foreheads): 6 (ep 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12) -> 6/12 = 1/2

• Yeong being swoony: 12/12 = 1 (lol.)

 

NOTE: the probabilities above are not very accurate since they’re taken based on very few episodes (PLEASE DON’T TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY AS I’M NO STATS EXPERT AND ONLY DOING THIS FOR FUN)

Chapter 2: Determining Probabilities for the Aforementioned Scenarios Occurring in Future Episodes

• The probability of two mutually exclusive events happening at the same (usually associated with the word ‘and’) is the product of the two individual probabilities.

• The probability of one event occurring or another one occurring (and they are mutually exclusive) is the sum of each individual probability

 

Let's put our knowledge into test!

Sample problems:

1. What’s the probability of a kiss on the lips happening in the next episode?

Sadly, based on the data we’ve gathered in chapter 1, the probability of Yeong and Raon kissing on the lips in episode 13 is only 1/12 = 8.3%. BUT REST ASSURED. First, let’s move on the to the next question.

 

2. What’s the probability of a kiss on the lips happening once in the remaining 6 episodes?

 (i.e. What’s the probability of a kiss on the lips happening in either episode 13 or 14 or 15 or 16 or 17 or 18?)

 

GOOD NEWS!

 

The answer is: 1/12 + 1/12 + 1/12 + 1/12 + 1/12 + 1/12 = 6/12 = 50%!!!

 

Okay, that’s easy. So let’s increase the difficulty of the question.

 

3. Since we moonlighters have been complaining about the lack of variety in Raon’s attire, let’s predict what’s the probability of her kissing Yeong AND wearing a beautiful hanbok in the remaining 6 episodes.

First of all, we need to find the probability of her wearing a hanbok in any of the 6 episodes.

 

That would be: 1/4 (based on the data from chapter 1) x 6 = 150%

 

Now, I know probability can’t exceed 100%, but for entertainment purposes (disregarding all mathematical rules that exist) and by the power of all holy drama gods out there, let’s say this is true. This means WE WILL MOST CERTAINLY SEE RAON WEARING A BEAUTIFUL HANBOK IN FUTURE EPISODES.

 

So what’s the probability of her wearing a hanbok and kissing Yeong (in the remaining 6 episodes)?

 

Easy peasy. Multiply their probabilities together, and then repeat that six times.

 

(1/12)(1/4) x 6 = 12.5%

 

SO EVEN THOUGH IT MIGHT NOT HAPPEN IN EPISODE 13, REST ASSURED MOONLIGHTERS BECAUSE IT HAS A 12.5% CHANCE OF HAPPENING IN ANY OF THE FUTURE EPISODES!

 

4. Now calculate the probabilities of the scenes that you want happening!

 

Well personally, I want to see the scene in which Yeong gets jealous, and then he will punish Raon by kissing her on the cheek, and then proceed to carry her bridal-style as they cuddle together (ALL in one episode)

 

The probability of that happening is:

 

• Prob. of Yeong being jealous: 1/6

   

• Prob. of Yeong kissing RO on the cheek: 1/12

   

• Prob. of Yeong carrying her bridal-style and cuddling her together (count as one category): 7/12

   

 

All together: (1/6)(1/12)(7/12) = 0.00810 = 0.8 % (awwww man)

 

BUT probability of it happening in either of the remaining six episodes is 0.8% x 6 = 4.8% = appx. 5% (WOOHOO!)

In conclusion, fellow moonlighters:

 

• Yeong is 100% guaranteed to continue being swoony in the remaining six episodes (prob of that is 600%! lol)

• Probability of Raon and Yeong kissing on the lips is 50%

   

• Raon is 100% guaranteed to be seen wearing a hanbok in any of the future episodes

   

• There’s a 12.5% chance that Raon will kiss Yeong while she’s wearing hanbok.

hehe thank you! i generally like math but i hate stats w/ a passion XD i sure hope my calculations hold true cuz i need to see KYJ in a hanbok (preferably the one from her character poster  )
