WildDivine69
Ladies(and Gents??), I know I haven't been diligent enough, but let's try to direct any speculation about out OTP away from the main thread. It seems there are some who are becoming really offended by anything shipping related, even if it's nothing serious. You can visit here if you want to share any observations. You don't have to be a shipper to love our OTP. @enzek Haha, beat me to it
Popular Post Phuong Dinh
I swear Jinyoung is the only male idol who looks way better in sageuk attires than modern clothes. He's handsome as he is in real life but Sageuk setting really bring the best out of his visual and aura. Yoon Sung Naeuri, please wear hanbok more often you're dashing!! \ He looks like he's born and raised in Joseon era once he put on the hanbok

I will sometimes go looking for a recap of a show on blog sites, but I usually don't pay that much attention to opinions. I know what I like and that's pretty much it. Also, I notice that a lot of people sometimes get turned off when a drama or movie is really, really popular. Perhaps it's because their expectations were so high and the drama did something different, or because they just don't want to be part of the crowd, or perhaps something really just didn't sit right with them. Who knows? More importantly, it doesn't impinge on my enjoyment at all, so I hope you don't let it diminish your joy in this drama, also. Because the cast and crew worked so hard to develop a quality product and because there seemed to be such esprit d'corps in this production, I'm very happy for them that they are receiving a lot of love from people. Getting that much love, however, will also have a backlash effect with it. I think the cast and crew are mostly veterans enough that they'll ride out any storms sanguinely, whether it's anti-fans or the KCSC. I think it's even better for them, because they weren't expecting such an outpouring of attention and affection. Also, whatever else, it is better to have all this love to help them on their future careers even with the criticisms than it would have been to have been in a little watched, low rated drama. So, let's just bask in their happiness and our happiness for a little longer. I do feel some let down thinking there won't be a preview released on Saturday or an episode to watch on Monday, but I'm happy I was there for the ride. This one definitely goes onto my top ten list to recommend to people who ask about watching kdramas. Other than lingering sadness, hope you have a marvelous day. Thanks! Reading your post and @Maetawinz's comments have cheered me right up. I think I was feeling really sad and it just hit me really hard when I read that comment cause I felt on behalf of all the cast and crew that put in so much effort (and myself too..not sleeping and watching them lol). But thanks reading all your words and thoughts is a like finding water in the sahara. Sigh, since its ended I feel like I am waking up after a looong 9 week sleep where my focus has just been on Monday and Tuesday to the exclusion of all else. sigh, going back to the real world is sad. p.s @Jillia looking forward to your thesis! p.p.s. am I greedy that I really wish we could have like what some other soompiers have suggested? A mini-posode...sigh...i am willing to take an epilogue Imagine if they do it during winter! That will be the BEST ode to the novel!

JCWfanSR
I've just finished watching the last episode. It was a good show indeed. One thing in this episode which is very much mention-able is that I really liked the transformation of the evil queen into a self repenting woman through the love of the baby, that was really beautiful, the actress did a great job in expressing it. The crazy ghostess and cute actress from splash splash love did a cameo I see, soooo cute that winking was!!! The cosmos scene was amazing. I'll miss watching and waiting for this show every week and those hopelessly awesome romantic stares and glares of CP and Raon-Ah( K dramas actually ruining my life...sigh) .Hope to see more CP, Raon-Ah, BY and KYS in the future. Gumao all the chingus who worked hard to give the live updates,OST and pics to make this show more amazing.
iheartyoojung
I finally got round to watching the special episode with subs as I had work travel but I forced myself to stay up tonight to finish it as I have been so curious after reading all your posts, thanks for posting the link here. Hard work, dedication and passion from both the cast and crew really paid off to give us such a fantastic drama. I saw how they persevered under the sweltering heat and I felt so sorry that they had to film this drama in summer. They had to climb roofs, chase chicken, do fight scenes with their heavy costumes, any less dedicated actors and actresses would have given up but they didnt. They looked exhausted but they pushed themselves to finish the scenes and some of those scenes had many takes. There was also great camaraderie between cast and crew, you can see how they support each other, lots of laughter, they looked like one big happy family, I was touched to see how they care for each other on the set. It was also a fun way to remember all the funny and memorable scenes, all my favourite lines were shown, I was so excited now I cant go to sleep. The special episode rekindled all those special mdbc moments again

This is the 2nd mis-interpretation of my post today. When I wrote is he bowing or looking at the hole in his knee, I didn't mean it for real. Of course, I know he is bowing. I am an Asian which tradition is still intact. When every year we celebrate new year (Korean: Seollal), we still have to serve tea and bowing to parents. So here's to show the bow of 90deg, utter respect, applies to Korean, Japanese and Chinese as well Hope I have clarified this, should there be any doubt.
Popular Post Earth2KatyD
Kwak Dong-yeon, Jin Young, Kim Yoo-jung and Park Bo-gum all looked really GORGEOUS at today's fan signing event. I don't know about you but looking at these photos is making me a bit emotional right now; I am saddened at the thought that I won't be seeing this bunch of beautiful and talented young people on Mondays and Tuesdays anymore (and it's making my heart hurt! ). Over the past couple of months that I've gotten to know their characters, I made a connection with each one -- I laughed with them, cried with them, got annoyed & disappointed along with them, felt terrified with them (and for them) and most of all, I experienced falling in love again and being loved in return in the most selfless of ways. So yea, they've definitely made an impact in me and have brought me so much JOY.. That's why... *cue the waterworks* Oh boy, it's certainly hard to let go of something that you dearly treasure.. Additionally, I want to thank each MOONLIGHTER in this thread who have contributed much of their time, talents, wisdom and efforts in making this MDBC ride an even more enjoyable experience for me. To put it succinctly -- That's right, you ALL have played a vital part in my MDBC journey.. KAMSAHAMNIDA, CHINGUS! May we all meet again one day in another thread. See y'all around! p.s. FYI, I'm not going anywhere yet. Just thought that I'd get that out of my chest now before it's really THE END.
aurora1205
Yeah, feel free to make assumptions about someone you don't know a thing about elsewhere. And give your best shot at least since it's not getting anywhere so far, good luck ^^
Popular Post Yesin Lee
ALL HEADLINES All Headlines (Yonhap Interview) Playwright wanted to give hope in ending of 'Love in the Moonlight' 2016/10/19 17:56 Tweet Facebook Share Google +1 Reduce Enlarge Print By Lee Haye-ah and Youn Go-eun SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Yonhap) -- When Kim Min-jung decided to write the script for "Love in the Moonlight," the playwright was throwing herself into unknown territory. Not only had she never thought about writing a historical drama, she also didn't expect it to do so well. "For me, it was the biggest challenge of my life and I took a big risk thinking this would be my only chance," Kim said in an interview with Yonhap News Agency Wednesday. The KBS series ended Tuesday night after posting a viewership high of 23.3 percent in its penultimate episode. "I'm really happy that it received so much love but also think it could have been better," the playwright said. "I was really short of time toward the end." This photo provided by the playwright Kim Min-jung of "Love in the Moonlight" shows herself. (Yonhap) Based on a popular web novel of the same name, the plot revolved around the love story of Crown Prince Lee Yeong of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) and a young woman disguised as a eunuch. Despite its historical setting, the drama appealed to both young and old with its lighthearted humor, fast pace and colorful mise-en-scene. Most importantly, however, there was the irresistible charm of lead actor Park Bo-gum, who at 23 has become South Korea's latest heartthrob. "He's just as everyone says he is," Kim said of Park. "How could anyone not like him when even as a top star he's constantly putting others before him and working hard?" Casting off initial worries, Park broke out of his image as the genius go player in his previous work, "Reply 1988," and won both critical and public acclaim for his acting. "We started out wondering how he would be in the role of a cold-hearted character, but shouted for joy when he did so well," Kim said. "He's so gentle and sweet that we thought it might be awkward when he yells at the court ladies and is mean to them, but all of a sudden he turned into Lee Yeong. Every look in his eyes is convincing." With each episode, the playwright faced new challenges both in the plot and in its delivery. One part she wishes she could have done better is where the female protagonist (Kim Yoo-jung) loses her cheeky and charming character due to an unexpected turn of events. "Hong Sam-nom's loss of her character is the part I'm most upset about," the writer said. "I'm sure some of our viewers were confused by the change in atmosphere from bright to dark, but the weight of the fact that Hong was the daughter of a traitor was considerable. It was a thorny path we had to take." Viewership took a hit during those episodes, but Kim said she wasn't too bothered. "I thought hard about the story, but not about the viewership," she recalled. "It was already better than expected, so I thought it's better this way than seeing it skyrocket." This image shows posters for "Love in the Moonlight" (Yonhap) To close the 18-part series, Kim said she wanted to end on a positive note and thus crowned Lee as king. The real Lee ruled the country in his ailing father's stead from 1827-1830, and is known to have pursued various political reforms before dying at the young age of 21. "I thought long about the ending," the playwright said. "Joseon fell in the end and the actual history leaves us feeling empty, but I imagined what it would have been like if the crown prince had lived without dying." She added, "I thought it would be the most hopeful fantasy to bring the curtains down on the drama right at the moment when the crown prince goes on to become king, filled with hope and dreaming of a new world." Kim didn't go as far as making Hong queen because she wanted to leave it as a love story between two people in their youth. "I wanted to paint their love in a way that would suit the world Lee Yeong creates, a world in which a woman can live as a woman and a child can live as a child," she said. Asked what kind of drama she'd like to write in the future, Kim said it will be a story about grown-ups -- adults who know enough about the world but still struggle with love in the face of reality. a15t3
9 hours ago, stroppyse said: But, I have to say that the more I see him, the more I understand why everyone is in a frenzy that he's so polite and thoughtful, among other virtues. I have also written something similar. This drama is his first drama I've watched and it was because Song Ji Hyo was so eager to meet him in RM. The very first before MDBC was aired, I watched his bombastic dance and it was very funny. Then after, I started to find more articles about him and trying to see some reviews of his past dramas/movies. I found quite a lot of stuff to admire from him. Out of those, the most I love can be seen in this picture which I've posted before, Moonlighters liked it but none asked why. I think this must be how we conversed, we would simply press like and move on because we have a lot to catch up and our beloved forum here is extremely active, which is very fantastic! Well anyone see what I mean in this picture of the perfect Park Bo Gum? It is very common to all male Korean celebrities to have, but not him. As I am a fan for most Korean male celebrities as well, I don't have objection at all because it is all considered fandom thingy. However when I see he is not into that, I feel like .. "hm.. well, I like/love him even more!" I know it's hard to believe there is this perfect guy in the world and the hall of fame is a long journey still. But I really wish he'll stay pure and great as whoever he is today, being mature by time, having lot of improvements in life, living his life at the fullest and be a greater and greater man he can be!
