As I used to watch Youth Over Flowers in Africa(PD Na's program) which Park Bo Gum joined his senior casts from Reply1988 so I knew that Park Bo Gum looked reliable in his work effort and acting. Interesting story of my own: Park Bo Gum initially wasn't of my liking at all (He's not the type of K-actors I'd easily fall for, in term of visual or personality, I'm more into manly and bad boy type ^ ^ ) Tbh I chose to watch Moonlight because of Yoo Jung since I've always liked her since she was 4 so whoever she's paired with, I'd be okay with that. I actually had no impresssion of Bo Gum rather than his very good-boy image and his role in Reply 1988. I basically knew nothing much about Bo Gum then. However, I actually thought that I'd need to learn more about him to appreciate his role in Moonlight more if I truly wanted to enjoy the drama. So I decided to really make an effort to know Bo Gum. I started watching the entire Reply 1988 series to learn about his acting and I actually spent 3 nights continuously watching Youth Over Flower in Africa to learn about his personality. And I never regret this decision. Not only I got to understand a lot more about Bo Gum but also I had chance to watch 2 awesome shows I had never watched before I'm actually surprised at how hard and fast I fall for Bo Gum after doing such "research" about him and I was so amazed at how he managed to transform from a total "Choi Taek" to a perfect "Lee Young". Like sometimes actors at certain parts always remind the audience of their signature roles in previous dramas. But Bo Gum really did exceptionally well for his CP role that not a single moment he reminded me of "Choi Taek" - his most signature role before. I personally think that a good actor needs not to excel in 1 specific work but must be versatile to transform from 1 role to another. Bo Gum is very young and not so experienced but he's already managed to do so with his few roles. Really a great young actor with very bright future ahead Bo Gum's personality is definitely his charm too. His work ethics and good nature would definitely bring him far. I believe he'll be able to hit the Hallyu Star level in 1-2 more years if he continues to do well like this. By the way, BO GUM'S MAGIC work on everyone, not just girls and women but boys and men as well. All the hyungs who worked with him before can't escape from his charm

It has some cut scenes that doesn't show in air version. Probably we'll get some different scenes in DVD ver. but still it depends on the team production for DVD version.

Popular Post minsunie
just finished watching with subs.... SO PRETTY!!!!! My favourite scene in the last ep was the scene where CP discovers it was Ra On behind the mask.... that scene was so beautifully done, their performances were GOLD. Bo Gum was nicely subtle and low key, and his performance was so heartfelt it really let Yoo Jung shine. His face of glee when he unveiled the mask to find her was SO DAM CUTE. The bracelet--SQUEEEEEE!!!!!! These people really know how to use the couple item effectively till the last. Yoo Jung was absolutely luminous and her sageuk training showed--her delivery was PERFECT as the shy and coy lady... no more words needed to confirm the strength of their bond and how they will never break up, whatever each other says or does. Bo gum and Yoo Jung's chemistry was nuts in that scene...the culmination of 18 eps worth of power... they really rocked that scene. I think they've perfected this sort of scene--the kind that show their longing for each other and the strength of their love. I think the cutesy scenes are great, but seriously the FEELS they manage to project cannot be beat.

Popular Post myicecreamcakexoxo
Dear moonlighters...ever since the last two episodes aired, my heart has been hurting so bad because the show has come to an end. The withdrawal pain is hitting me real bad and I literally can't focus on doing anything else My pain is somewhat alleviated this morning though when I looked at the lovely pics from our cast...so proud of them. Moonlight has truly become a genre of its own and I'm proud to say it has sneaked its way to becoming my number one favorite sageuk, replacing Dae Jang Geum :') Thank you so much for the wonderful journey, everybody! This is my first thread at soompi and boy am I glad that I got to spend it here by spazzing with you awesome/hilarious/sometimes-crazy-but-never-fail-to-make-me-laugh moonlighters. Will miss this thread so, so much. A couple of quick points/highlights of what I like about this show: 1. The characters. Oh, the characters. I love how we get to see their character development throughout the show. Yeong, from the rebellious/reckless/stubborn/somewhat-arrogant Yeong to the humble/broad-minded/wise/selfless person that he is now. And it's truly a shame that the writers didn't focus on RO's character development as much, but I think the most pivotal moment in RO's character is that now she has come to embrace her identity as a woman, and open that door to her heart and being able to love freely. I'm so happy for her, because she can now do what she does the best - that is to spread love to others, and change the lives of people whom she encounters! 2. The (sometimesimperfect) writing. The symbolisms the writers incorporated in this show. The poignancy and meaning of love. Romantic love, parental love, siblings' love, love between friends, loving ONESELF (So glad for HY!). Kudos to the writers for being able to emphasize and give meanings to the small moments in each episode (which, I think javabeans also pointed out on her recaps, is the true strength of this show). 3. Directing - glorious, beautiful cinematography, almost-flawless editing! And the music..! Gah, I feel like giving the music PD a big, bear hug. 4. The actors/actresses/crews of mdbc. We all can tell how they have come to regard each other as family, judging by how lively and warm the shooting atmosphere was despite the hectic schedule. And I'm so, so happy that they get all the praise/love they deserve. Moonlight may not be a perfect drama, but its flaws is also what makes it so endearing to me, because the mistakes that the characters made felt real, and even the heartbreak that we moonlighters experienced while watching the drama is a testament to how much the show has propelled us to love the characters from the deepest, bottom parts of our hearts. Thank you, mdbc. You've changed a lot of people's lives with your magic. I hope the production team and our lovely actors/actresses can have a reunion project sometime in the future! That aside, I can't wait to see PBG and KYJ's growth as an actor/actress and their future projects! Their journey is only beginning now and I wish them (and everybody else involved) all the best! THANK YOU, MOONLIGHTERS! THANK YOU, MDBC! THANK YOU PD-NIMS/WRITER-NIMS/STAFFS/CREWS/OUR LOVELY CASTS! You guys deserve a long, well-rested break! P.S: Just on a random note, I love KYJ when she wears hanbok because yes she is beautiful but she also looks more mature - and when she walks through that lovely field of cosmos with PBG I literally stopped breathing and it took me a while to recover from all the prettiness. Bless these two cuties and their awesome visuals

All the hyungs who worked with him before can't escape from his charm Haha, vice versa, I have done research about Kim Yoo Jung because I have just started watching some Korean TV Drama for a couple years, actually I seriously watched this year. I might not watch her TV drama but I explored what her previous colleagues mentioned about her and in talk show and news how Kim Yoo Jung spends her life in working, studying, and also resting. Starting career as a child actress/actor is not easy to grow well with study-life balance and also her spirit to be in showbiz for years, some child actress/actor can not be natural with her/his life when they grow to be an actress/actor, Kim Yoo Jung is one of a few appreciated ones in her acting skill, still study, and being lively to enjoy life. Moonlight Drawn By Clouds might not consist of big production, very famous script writer, big name actor/actress but Park Bo Gum's and Kim Yoo Jung's acting to deliver such difficult scripts (comedy, romantic, dramatic, powerful) with strange statements naturally. After I watched Moonlight Special, I found out one facts that almost all famous statements from this TV drama are really weird; therefore, Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung must design their acting and script speaking at the very right level in order to let audiences feel impressed, rather than awkward and dumbstruck. As same as SeJa and RaOn's romantic scenes with limitation of intimate expressions due to Kim Yoo Jung's minor, after rewatching in Moonligh Special, I felt those scenes were very difficult because they will express in form of eye contact, gesture, facial expression but none of lovers' intimacy. PS. Even Crown Prince has be complained by some audiences whether he treated RaOn like a monk but KCSC

Especially if that person thinks the other Moon show is better than MDBC, i dont think they're on the same wavelength as us to take her opinion seriously. People's taste might vary, even if we are the only one who think MDBC is so much more than just memorable.
