Popular Post happypuppy
OMG OMG OMG There are still hints here and there what had happened during 1 year break with our OTP: In the book store scene. When LY's face move forward, RO directly covered her lips, even ask 'here?' HA! Before (in the palace before they were apart), when LY moved his face forward to tease her, LY only kissed her cheek, so in theory she will automatically cover her cheek, not her lips... UNLESSS during that 1 year gap they are busy dating and LY keeps on punish her with kiss Omoooo..

Popular Post miss-guided
What I loved about the ending was that it did not just celebrate and acknowledge Yeong's and Ra On's love for each other, but it was about love of all kinds. It really made an emphasis to draw out so many ways that people love: the love of a king and a nation, love of a parent and child, love of one's friends, and in Choi Soo Bin's story arc, also the ability to be able to love oneself first. I love how the different kinds of love are shown to endure and that, even when such kinds of love can get ugly (like in the case of Premier Kim), the only way for you to rest with dignity is to hold on to that love. But in his case, it also drives a point that love is not enough. Because our choices and our priorities can either direct us or steer us away from experiencing it. In his case w/ YS, he turned out to have known early on about his grandson's ill fate, but instead of relishing and showing him love, he got blinded by his thirst for control (I'd like to think that his belief that having ultimate control might in a way change YS' fate). And instead of being grateful for having a daughter who is now the Mother of the Nation, he still was not satisfied. When there is love around you and you take it for granted, if you do not let it grow and fill you up, soon, it will not be enough to save you. I think I also like how his death mirrors YS. They both died by choice, but while YS died as a man who upheld his honor and principles, Premier Kim died trying to hold on to what little honor he had left (and I love that it was YS that made him feel that way). I think that the ending was beautiful. It is deserving of Bo Gum. In fact, it personifies Bo Gum. It was about being happy and grateful about the people around you. It is about loving the life you have, in spite of the difficulties and the losses. It is about having hope for a brighter future... THAT IS SO GUMMY. Good job, Writer-nim and PD-nim! Good job, Gummy and Yoo Jung and all of MDBC!

Like always, Yoon Sung's selflessness stems from his love for Ra On. And just like what we saw during the last few minutes of the drama, RO is living the happy life that YS wished for her --she's openly living her life as a woman and she's right next to her beloved, Lee Yeong... Though I still would've wanted to see his friends, LY and BY by his side to witness him take his final breath while holding onto him to bring him comfort.. like a proper send-off, you know... It just occurred to me --- Awwww, we never got to witness LY, BY and YS all joyful together and living their lives to the full! The wonderful bromance that we wished and hoped for the 3 of them died along with Yoon Sung!!! *sobs to a blubbering mess!* I feel you. They seem to rush to complete the story. May have forgotten about the bromance tho.

Popular Post ferily
Gahh, MDBC ended today.... I just wanted to share my thoughts on the drama as a whole and the ending ^^ I actually joined the thread a bit late, like Episode 11ish or 12, so I wasn't here from the beginning till the end.. It was around the time when CP quarters got ambushed and LY got hurt. But I always had my eyes for this drama and was going to watch it for sure!! I was just waiting for all the Episodes to come out but I decided to just jump in and watch this drama while it was ongoing ;D I think the drama is marvelous.. I cannot describe in words how I feel about the drama as a whole and how awesome this drama is.... Honestly, I loved the ending and how Episode 18 wrapped everything up and closed the doors to this drama. I know some people (Knetizens mostly) were saying how these last two episodes were rushed but I felt otherwise. I actually think everything transitioned smoothly and made sense these last two episodes (I don't know if it's just me who thinks this). I didn't expect the lady that died left a letter from the old Queen for evidence of what the Prime Minister did and that the Queen ended up dying to protect Lee Yeong... When I watched that, I was like.....another plottwist! But I was wondering how they would wrap it up with the PM.. Towards the end I did have some pity towards him (even though his character wasn't the best) because he pretty must lost everything he had in the end. Then theres Yoon Sung.... When he passed, I was like Ha, if BY can survive two arrows and a slash and LY can survive getting stabbed and slashed, then YS can survive this..!!! Throughout the rest of the drama I was thinking, YS is not dead, I know it! He's going to come back in the end...you just watch! This drama won't fool me this time! But the drama decided to prove me wrong and say otherwise I really thought he didn't die but it turns out he really did I was so sad when he died because he was honestly such a great person and truly loved RO as well. -sobs- Why, Yoon Sung, why!! He was such an amazing second lead and I really like him as well :c Speaking of second lead, I think Hae Yeon was great as well. In the end she realized that she couldn't have the CP even if she was on his side and decided to give up. I think it was really nice of the King to let her go and live her own life. That's really sweet of him to do for her and I am happy for her as well. I never disliked Hae Yeon, actually there were times where I felt bad for her because the CP was so cold towards her and would kick her out of his sight (Well, he does have RO). But I think she's a great person and selfless. I'm really glad she got her happy ending as well. But how can we not talk about our OTP. Hehe, I think one OTP moment I really loved in this Episode was where RO is nursing LY after he gets poisoned and right when she's about to get up, LY grabs her, then pulls down her mask.....and then he pulls down her sleve to see that she's wearing the bracelet that he broke.....GAAHH, THE FEELS!!! When she was wearing his bracelet and I was like OMG SHE PUT IT TOGETHER AND KEPT IT!! I KNEW IT, I KNEW ITTTTT!! Ahem, anyways. I found that scene really touching and satisfying. I don't know, just that scene was just so beautiful to me and I really liked it. But right next to this scene, I also loved the ending scene as well... I love how Ra On is finally living as a woman and her own life, and she even started her own bookstore and wrote a book based on LY's life~ Can we just appreciate this beautiful scene with all the flowers and the scenery... Then the way LY kisses RO (Which I love how PBG pulled it off) and the background behind them. I really thought this scene overall was so beautiful. The scenery makes me cry on the inside... How come this drama makes so many beautiful scenes -sobs- I love what Lee Yeong says to RO as well... He just has his ways with words just to make you smile like crazy. He is so sweet and romantic.. Ah, I can just go on and rant about every character in the drama and how each one of them is significant and played their part in the drama. But I think the true highlight and star of the show is Lee Yeong, and not because he is the main lead. His character in the drama was just so well-developed and has such an amazing character. I love how the drama showcases him, a prince who was cold and harsh towards everyone in the palace (in the beginning and he was known as the poop prince with a bad character hahaha) but deep down he is a sweet prince who loves to step outside the palace, intelligent and really cares for his people. His character was really consistent throughout the drama and I really liked that. I love how he cares so much for his people. I really like when LY is King and walking into the throne but doesn't sit on the throne and instead sits on his steps. Hahaha, when I watched this scene live, I was like he is such a rebel but he did that because he wanted to be closer to his people.. I love how his character shines and stays consistent throughout the whole drama. I don't think there was once where I thought otherwise about his character. At the end where BY is talking, he says that LY isn't a sun that shines so brightly on his own but instead he is the moonlight that shines bright with his people and we see LY interacting with the people. I think this is what will make LY such a great king. He doesn't just stay in the palace without knowing what's going on outside and being blind but instead he gets away from the palace and hangs out and talks to his people~ This really stood out to me this episode and made me love his character even more. He continues to shine bright like moonlight even being king.

Popular Post bogummerz
I can't believe after eighteen fantastic episodes, the wonderful journey that is Moonlight Drawn By Clouds has come to an end. All MOONLIGHTERS, in for one big embrace. I'm actually very very very content with this finale. Can you tell? Albeit, there are some imperfections but the show played it out beautifully. I think I'll start off this post by acknowledging the entire MDBC's team hard work. The writers who turned a typical romantic sageuk into something extra special. Youthful, poignant, dramatic, endearing and delightful in all ways. Twists, and turns that we can never predict, and never have imagined- transforming classics drama plots into unique scenes that always feels like a breath of fresh air. The directors who manages to capture every single drop of emotion in each scene. Beautiful, jaw dropping cinematography from beginning to end. Dynamic fight scenes, brilliant attention to detail and the amazing use of flashbacks. The moon, bracelet, and the sign language symbolism. I will never find a drama that makes 'hand acting' so captivating and manages to draw out so much emotion. The music director has a magic touch and I enjoyed every single OST, and I love how each song fits into each scene. They really know how to connect the song to the scene. The actors and actresses for bringing this drama to life. Making ordinary characters on paper into remarkable figures. Honestly, everyone stood out in their own way, and are deserving of endless praise. Yes, I'll admit.. this drama, it's not perfect. But it doesn't need to be, because it is the one drama that I've connected with emotionally. Feeling for all the characters, engaging with every scene, enthralled by the romance, the friendship and the family love. It doesn't need to be flawless, because it's one of those dramas that made me feel so good watching it. Made me watch and re-watch. And I know, in a couple years time.. I'll still find this drama refreshing in it's own way. Final thoughts: - I'm still heartbroken about Yoonsung's death. Truly a pitiful character from beginning to end. I knew it was coming, the writers foreshadowed this.. it was impending.. but still, it managed to come at me with full force and knocked me out with so much heartache. He was lonely all his life, always second best, constantly holding back.. What a pitiful character. I like that the show did let him die in the arms of the only woman he had ever loved, but sadden that he was destined to have an unfortunate end. - In contrast to Hayeon.. who despite the fact never received the love from CP, at least she still had the freedom to go on and love. I pity her, I do. I understand her point of view.. and her optimism that one day CP would love her back, but she needed that heartbreak and confirmation. And seeing CP with RO really allowed her to fully move on. She's such a breath of fresh air as a second lead.. and hey, in an alternate drama.. I'd root for her. - As for BY, I like that he continues to watch over CP. Always the protector, the loyal comrade, the true friend. Hopefully he doesn't stay far too long, and please tell me he has occasional nights drinking with YeongOn. Oh, I hope. - I kind of liked how they killed off PM. For a character that once had everything in his hands, all mighty and way too powerful, I enjoyed the way he ended his own life, as if it was the only thing left that he had control over. It was satisfying to see him lose everything and all at once.. but at the same time I might have felt a pinch of sympathy for him.. but only a pinch.. and it only lasted about a millisecond. I promise. - Actually, in this episode I felt so much for the Queen. Yes, she's evil but with PM as her father.. how can she not be. She wanted acknowledgement. Even if it wasn't as a daughter, then just as a tool for power. She was so desperate by this desire to be appreciated that she became blinded. We don't know what actually happens to her, but I'd like to think that she lives raising her daughter up to be a wonderful person. Pouring eternal love into her daughter to replace the love she never had. - As for the King, I hope he is resting well with Concubine Suk Ui.. and they can have their own love story.. And I'm happy to see that glimmer of hope with the little Princess, who is the bravest little girl I've ever seen grace my laptop screen. - The side characters are so much fun.. Deok Ho and Princess Myeong Eun's love story, Eunuch Jang who looks so proud of his CP. Raon's two Eunuch friends who became head eunuchs.. Kim Seulgi's adorable cameo was an added bonus btw. - I love the ending for Crown Prince. When he enters the court as King, with people on his side, Deok Ho, Teacher Dasan, Eunuch Jang.. He's growing one step closer to the new Joseon.. and that is a beautiful thought. I wouldn't have accepted an ending in which he didn't end up as the King. It was written in the stars, he NEEDED to be the King. Yeong is honestly the best CP I've seen in a sageuk. Wonderfully smart, and understands his people. How can I not love him when he is also a man with so much passion. - As for RaOn, I like that she's spunky and happy. Doing the things she loves. I wished we would have been able to see just a bit more of her life as a lady. I feel like if we were given just one more minute to get that insight, it would've been fantastic.. but having said that.. I'm still happy she can finally wear a hanbok and live the life she was supposed to live. We don't know what will happen to their love story, but they left the queen spot vacant ..so I guess it implies she'd eventually end up there anyways. And sure, this drama had always been about eternal love, and it is such a prominent theme that I truly believe no matter what happens.. the future of Yeong and Raon wouldn't be complete without each other anyways. Lastly, I appreciate this drama for what it is. On paper it's a youthful romance, but in reality it is much deeper than that. I don't need a million kiss scenes to validate their love. That would be too manufactured. It's the stares that makes my heart beat, the words exchanged that feel genuine and not cheesy, and the intimacy that goes beyond physical touch. For others, it may be boring, juvenile and unrealistic, but to me it's everything I wanted and more. And hey, let the high ratings speak for itself. Thank you for all the good times everyone. What a journey it has been.
ruka18
1 hour ago, stroppyse said: Oh, poor baby. PBG also had a scene in Answer Me 1988 about his mother. His character, Choi Taek's mother also passed away when he was young. In the scene, Taek is asked if he misses his mother. Taek answers "Every day" and that killed me. I already loved his character before, but that scene in its simplicity, sincerity and depth of feeling probably caused him to become my favorite character in that drama. I remember reading that the writer of the novel had become a fan of PBG from that scene on, and so was pleased when he was cast as Yeong. Anyway, I can totally see him holding back tears at memories of his mother. Poor sweet man. Yes I remember that scene too. PGB's life story is like kdrama actually, he lost his mom early then got dragged by loan sharks in court because of his dad's debt so how he turned to be the man he is now, someone who really have a good personality like he didn't experience any struggles in life ,I honestly have no idea - he's pretty amazing.

honeywell
I thought the kiss scene was appropriate for Yoo jung's age. It's honestly better than other kissing scenes I've seen before and they were between adults too. Anyone seen Delightful chunhyang? The kiss scene there, their lips weren't even touching... Park Shin hye, love her but her earlier kissing scenes weren't that great either. So I'm glad Yoo jung's first scene was with BG who seemed to have guided and made it less awkward for her.
