i'm totally agree with you,I do not understand what they mean by a script, because for me in many Korean dramas I've ever seen, this is a love story that is most natural .No nonsense cinderella story , no silly love at first sight .. they both are natural, I really like the way PD nim create a storyline were JH start viewing DS as a woman , falls in love with DS and still accept her messy eating habit DS  and began to show his feelings.

@leekyuphii I really love and totally agree with your words here  'She need someone who take care of her (not someone that need her care), someone who always makes her be his number 1 (for now TK priority still baduk) and someone who always know what she want (not someone who must be explain about what she want), who completely understand her (not someone who neglected her).'

hahaha, i think they mean "scripted" in a way that Deok Sun and Jung Hwan seems to always be together. I'd say it's quite natural for the two of them to always run into each other coz they are in the same neighborhood and their school are just near to each other. plus her friends know him.

actually, if the radio host did not say "don;t worry if the person you like didn;t confess/like you because someone else might have like you for a long time without you knowing" then we cut to Taek on the phone asking her to the movie. if that narration didn't happen at all while Taek was calling, I would not even think that he likes her as a woman.

At first, it was Sunwoo who was running beside Hyeri..In the first part of the series, DS had a crush on Sunwoo and all of us thought that SW likes DS, too.

Then, we can see in the clip the JH and TK are catching up with DS. Like they are competing for her. And I think that's going to happen now since we all know both of them like DS.

Then in the last part, DS and JH are running side by side...endgame!

i'd really like it if they would show Deok Sun getting pregnant or delivering the baby like in Reply 1997 where they show Shi Won having the pregnancy test and beating Yoon Jae for getting her pregnant and it was also shown her in the hospital, giving birth to their baby. 

It'd be nice if Deok Sun is pregnant and Jung Hwan is being ordered to buy foods that she likes in the middle of the night hahahaha!!!

Just wanna say something,i know some of ppl maybe thought that its not fun and kinda boring and want something refreshing for the ending of this drama that makes it different than the previous reply. And said how boring if bickering couple being the end game again, and first love thing happened again and chilbong 2.0 will be heart broken again.I am okay with that kind of ending but give me the fair development between TK and JH. Development that makes both of them fair as a love rival not put more weight on one side (from screen time etc) and as character generally. it will be difficult for a drama has two character that keep that fairness from beginning to the end, at least one must shinning more than the others to makes a drama conflict works.But for now i still see JH as the ending.Like i ever mention, if JH and DS isnt the ending then the entire great drama with great developing character, well written story, a great dynamic between each character will turned into really really bad writing drama without the consistency from earlier to the ending. and i will give an award as the trollest drama of my entire life unti now. I accept when Chilbong not the end, because i know how lack he is as a character, and how obvious trash is the end game from the beginning. I lose, but i'm not that blind to neglected the obvious things.We cant neglected the fact that Why waste all that time developing JH DS for almost 10 episode when you should have used it to establish TK-DS, what the purpose to makes JH becomes such endearing character from the beginning, to troll us in the next 10 episode. I think and believe that kind of ending (tk ds) wont happened in this drama, maybe the next drama will have the ending that everyone want. ahhhh i get some idea, why not you all makes your own drama? then you will be happy about the ending.

i hope most of the viewers will get over Reply 1994 Chilbong and see the series and the characters as it is. When Reply 1994 ended, it was the first time i saw fanfics of Reply series in soompi and it features NaJung and Chilbong, which is clear that majority of the viewers like Chilbong. And I think Taek somewhat resembling Chilbong's character are the reason they want Taek to end up with Deok Sun because it's like getting Chilbong a happy ending in the form of Taek.

But really, I wanted them to realize that it should not be that way. Maybe Reply series like the bickering couple to be the end game, but the thing here is Jung Hwan had done lots of stuff already to deserve Deok Sun's love. And that's why I support him. He puts his feeling into action and exerts effort to it. At this point in the drama, I don;t care anymore who fits the description of future husband character. I want to focus on who could give her the love she deserves and that is why I'm all for Jung Hwan. 

(p.s. do you guys think it's wise to post this on the main thread? hahahaha!!!)

i agreeeee at most of the parts @MrsSoJiSub said, tk-ds shippers tend to focus on how deoksun care about taek, but not the girl. Yes, she cares about him, but i cant see a glimpse of him that shows how he deserved to be her husband. The girls want an affection. She wants to be loved, cares, be someone's number one. 

By the way, i want junghwan to pull a yoonjae and tell deoksun that he likes her from the beginning and keeps giving hints, etc (oh remember when yoonjae said he even knows when shiwon got her first period?). Ah, good old times..

Ha ha ha... Hyeri looks so young though, I cannot imagine her giving borth like that. JH is also a bit introverted it would be weird to see him experience that...

I am already looking forward to seeing the time jump to 1994. It is a small time jump I think becuase it might be hard to keep the same actors and make them look much older. I mean I know they did that for the two others Replies but it was a bit weird at times in R1997 and actors were older for R1994 so it kinda worked. But again, Hyeri looks so damn young, and the haircut makes her look even younger IMO... I am already dreading a deep kiss scene! She is so cute and all but she is a bit immature too. It'll be very interesting to see how she is going to change. I am so looking forward to that.

i kept replaying the preview for that scene and the 'junghwan ah' :'(  it seems like she really wants to go with JH (or maybe thats just my shipper heart doing its job hehe)
someone predicted JH would give the tickets to TK but i have another scenario in mind and it goes like this: in the written preview for ep 11 it says JH is bothered after hearing TK's confession but that doesn't necessarily mean he would help TK and give him the tickets imo JH would just take a step back from DS because of the bro code. DS is a big fan of Lee Mun Se so she should know about the concert or have heard about it from her friends. in the preview we see an excited DS holding a poster and waving probably at JH (i'm not sure if it's JH or not bc DS is standing by TK's gate) maybe the two girlfriends are busy and DS think of asking JH to go with her? he went with her last time too. if JH gives the tickets to Tk and TK asks DS out just the two of them, she wouldn't ask JH if he would go too right? 
well we can only know by watching ep 11. can't wait for friday to come xD and i hope there will be a kiss in ep 12 too hehe

Previous reply series PD nim give us kiss in early episode, YJ kiss SW episode 2,also NJ and trash (NJ bite TR lips)..but this time we need to wait like forever for our JH and DS kiss..  I demand for a long passionate kiss from PD nim since we have to wait for it.. Or they can give us cute kiss at the middle of drama and  the cliffhangers kiss at the end of ep 12 ..kekeke

I like Jung Hwan for Deok Sun not only because he fits the clues but because he puts his feelings into actions. This list is just SOME of the cute moments that Jung Hwan PROVES that she values and likes Deok Sun.

Episode 1: Basically, he was not seeing her as a woman yet but just a friend, but I'm giddy to the tiny proud smile he crack when Deok Sun walks in the Olympics. 

 

Episode 3: He is in his usual gruff way, but he still paid for Deok Sun and friends' food.

When they were running away but Deok Sun gets left behind so he ran back to her. And the reason they hide in that alley in the first place is because Deok Sun can't run fast.

(bonus: being use as a human shield from Deok Sun's mom's beating when she lost the camera)

Episode 4: When he points out the rice grain one her face instead of letting her walk around with it.

 

When he points out that the ice cream was all over her mouth.

and then he totally prepared for the tutoring session because Deok Sun will be there.

 

then during the tutoring session 

    

when he pretends to be waiting for Sun Woo when he was really waiting for Deok Sun and the way he steals glances at her.

 

 

then the famous BUS SCENE

Episode 5 : When he worried that she's going to the study room at such a late night.

 

staying up late at night waiting for her

getting up at 2 o' clock in a rainy morning to fetch her an umbrella

Episode 6 : He likes her so much that he (probably) corrected and resend Deok Sun's letter about Sun Woo because we heard the host read Deok Sun's letter.

Episode 7 : Him, worrying about her.

    

 

tying, untying, and retying his shoe lace, waiting for her.

 

coming when she calls, and being good to her friends (not to mention the way he gaze at her at the bus scene)

 

Small things that makes her happy is his business even though people we'll think he'd gone crazy because he doesn't normally do that. But they say that when you're in love, you could do crazy things.

      

 

Episode 8 : When he offers to accompany her

 

When he refuse to take the vacant seat because he likes standing next to her and covering her open-mouth

Episode 9: When he's willing to go with her (which is pretty much in favor of him too) when all of their friends can't.

there's a lot i want to post but yeah I once read:

"He probably likes you. A lot. But that's not what matter. What matters is what he's doing about it... because you most certainly need someone who goes out of his way to make it obvious he wants you in his life."

@Cat Bishonen I also don't think JH will do anything like that. He'll ignore her but giving the tickets to Taek is like helping Taek to be with DS and it's very unlike JH to do something like that. He didn't do anything when he found out about DS liking SW. We can't be sure who she'll end up going with, but one thing for sure, she looks so eager to go with JH. She wants him to go. I'm a bit sad seeing JH's response, but I'm happy Deok-sun sees him differently now. Bring on the angst, I'm ready. I can wait 1-2 more episodes for passionate kiss. 

@wizengamot love that scenes compilation and every reason you stated there, chinggu. I will probably watch their scenes again when this show is over  just like I did with Trash and Jeong scenes
