With regards to Maths & Science in ancient times

Mathematics in China emerge independently  during 11th century BC, as the knowledge was used to focus on astronomy to perfect agriculture calendar & other practical task & not on establishing formal systems. Ancient Chinese mathematician didn't develop an axiomatic approach but made advances in algorithm development & algebra

The achievement of Chinese algebra reaches its zenith in the 13th century when Zhu Shi Jie invented the method of the Jade Mirror of the 4 unknown ( 四元玉鉴 ), 570 years before William Horner method of using synthetic division

The oldest surviving mathematical book is the Yi Jing (I- Ching,  Book of Changes,  역경  易經 ) & it is one of the 6 classics ( Yuk Gyeong,육경,六經 ) that Joseon Confucian scholars academic would have read under 4 Book & 6 Classics (Sa Seo Yuk Gyeong, 사서 육경 , 四   經 ) their revered curriculum as their core values & belief system

The trigram in the Yi Jing is found in the South Korean Flag

Thank you @gerrytan8063 for the articles. After reading "A stitch back in time by a living treasure", I realized that the technique of sewing on Nubi might be quite different from that on Hanten. My interest on Kim Hae-ja's work is the simplicity. Very interesting to know that "she taught herself to recreate nubi simply by looking at old clothes in museums."

Jang Yeong Sil Tomb ( 장영실묘 ) in Munbang-ri ( 문방리), Inju-myeon ( 인주면 ), Asan-si ( 아산시), Chungcheongnam-do was erected by the Asan Jang Clan in commemoration.....as Jang Yeong Sil latter days of his life including his death after his dismissal....was shrouded in mystery & speculation, but the korean will forever remember Jang Yeong Sil for his great achievements that helped Joseon to lead in the technology race
