i think this is one of the most rushed ending i saw... But what i did like there were really no goodbye in concerete.. Just farewell to us viewers. Like everyone i will pray they find their happiness hopefully with each other... i think i'll be forever be a berry... No good byes just see you later...

Here's the final recap! It's sad to think that we'll no longer be able to see them on the show, but I hope they'll be able to each excel in their own careers and be able to meet each other later, like how Jung Joon Young and his virtual wife Jung Yoo Mi took a picture and posted it together of them like a year after their stint ended? They went out to eat with one another.

 

I did like their ending, I think it was like just like them, really, doing like the simple things. I do also think that for some couples, having a time limit on their ending is standard, at least in some of the other couples I saw it was that way. I also liked the open-endedness of the ending. I saw some of those in some other WGM couples and thought that that seemed like the best.

 

But here it is! The final recap.

We start today’s episode with So Yeon walking. A flashback shows us that she received a phone call just a little while earlier addressed to ‘Wife Kim So Yeon.’ The message tells her to go to a place in Seogyo-dong, which is a neighborhood in Mapo in Seoul.

 

At the same time Si Yang is waiting at the location for So Yeon. We see a close up of the pictures and Park Mi Sun comments that they’re all pictures from before, things that they did together. Si Yang waits with a sigh as So Yeon approaches and spots him.

 

She comes in and asks if it’s the two of them, to which Si Yang says yes. They greet one another. Park Mi Sun says that whenever the two meet it’s always them saying the other is handsome and then pretty and we see just that as Si Yang tells So Yeon that she’s gotten prettier and So Yeon tells Si Yang that he’s handsome. Si Yang says that it feels like the first day they met.

 

A covered something comes out as they’re talking and they check the temperature to see that it’s warm before opening it. Si Yang goes to open it but he tells So Yeon to in the end. The dish under it has a flag that says ‘First’ and the dish is spicy braised chicken, what Si Yang made the first night they met. We see a flashback to that time.

 

Back at the restaurant So Yeon says it’s what Si Yang made when they met. They decide to eat some of it, with Si Yang taking care of So Yeon first. Si Yang says that he thinks it’s better than the one he made but So Yeon says that’s not true, that she won’t be able to forget the one he made. Park Mi Sun says that that’s because it was made with love. So Yeon continues to say that there was one spoon of nervousness and three spoons of excitement in his.

 

Another dish comes out. Si Yang says that he can’t even think of what it could be and decides to open it. The flag this time says ‘Event’ and it’s seaweed soup. We see both instances of when the two made seaweed soup for one another, at both of their surprise birthday events. So Yeon says that she didn’t know that she would cry to that extent and that she didn’t know she would be that touched.

 

Yet another dish comes out and they wonder what it is. They try to figure it out but don’t really know. So Yeon says that for some reason it feels like it’ll be the last. The captions say that they both can’t easily open it and So Yeon knocks on the lid saying that that’s what you do with watermelon. So Yeon opens the lid to face Si Yang and his head drops upon seeing it. So Yeon takes the lid off entirely and they both just stare at the mission card. So Yeon says that it’s finally come and Si Yang starts to get teary as he tells her to open it.

 

So Yeon goes to open it, taking a deep breath before she does, and begins to get teary as she reads it. The letter reads:

 

TO. Kwak Si Yang – Kim So Yeon Couple

‘SiSo Couple’’s virtual marriage started on August 27, 2015 and after two hours, the 209 day virtual married life will end. Starting now, please enjoy the remaining time you have as a couple.

 

As the MCs hear the letter, they finally realize why they were acting that way. So Yeon wonders why she’s crying as Si Yang cries as well and says that he must be crazy.

 

In her BRI, So Yeon says that she thought that the time finally came when a minute and a second were precious and that it was very hard to hold it in. Meanwhile, in his BRI, Si Yang says that hearing So Yeon’s choked up voice made him unable to do anything. He continues by saying that they had a lot of memories together but that there’s like a lot of regret left because it felt like he received a lot more.

 

Back at the restaurant So Yeon asks Si Yang what he wants to do. He says that he wants to get the type of feeling again and specifically mentions when they were walking together on the street at her birthday, saying he wants to do something like that. Park Mi Sun says that it must be because they weren’t really able to like do free dates like that.

 

Si Yang says that he wants to do that and mentions that he didn’t even imagine that he would cry like that. So Yeon suggests that they laugh and smile for the remaining time they have together.

 

They agree to get going because they don’t have much time and head out onto the street holding hands. So Yeon says that the weather is nice and Si Yang says that his hand will be lonely now. So Yeon responds by saying that they hold hands now well. As they continue walking she wonders what they should call each other when the two hours are done. Si Yang suggests ‘former husband’ and So Yeon suggests ‘old husband.’

 

Si Yang comments that it’s hard and So Yeon says that they call each other ‘darling’ and ‘husband’ so naturally that in the case of her saying ‘Si Yang-ssi’ is awkward. They stop walking as Si Yang tells her that he thinks that other thing is good too. So Yeon wonders what it is, asking if it’s her calling him ‘Si Yang-ssi’ but he rejects that and says that they have nicknames, ‘puppy’ and ‘kitty.’ So Yeon wonders if it’s alright if they call each other by that and Si Yang acts out him meeting her as he calls out to her ‘Oh, kitty!’ and she responds ‘Oh, puppy!’

 

So Yeon calls to him again and Si Yang answers, telling her to call him that to her heart’s content. They continue to call each other that and they end up looking at each other, in each other’s eyes, much to the delight of the MCs who comment on it.

 

In her BRI, So Yeon says that walking on a street that’s crowded with people or eating at a place that a lot of people frequent may be minor things, but she felt it for the first time, the captions say that she felt like regretful.

 

I believe Si Yang comments on how good the weather is then and Park Mi Sun regretfully says that they won’t be able to see them anymore and the other female MC also expresses her regrets. The two see a sign for phone cases where you can make them yourself. Si Yang says that he doesn’t really have the confidence to make a pretty one but So Yeon says she wants to make him one and they agree to go in, the captions say that it’s like a last present.

 

They pick out some of the decorations to make them before finally getting to work on it. So Yeon says that it’s for Si Yang and he tells her to do well. She tells him that of course she’ll do well and that the person making hers is probably more nervous. She wonders if she should do a design and begins to put some of the pieces on. She ends up dropping the bear, breaking its head off, and the MCs say that that’s not a good sign. So Yeon picks up the pieces and says that she’ll seem like a real idiot because of it and Si Yang tells her that it’s alright I believe telling her that she could put them separately on there but she doesn’t want to.

 

She wonders why that happened and says that she’s really upset as Si Yang continues to try to comfort her. She continues to be upset even saying about ‘Even at the last.’ The MCs comment on that saying that she must be upset. So Yeon asks the employee there how to pay for another one. He asks if it broke and she tells him that it went flying and allows her to just take another one. She thanks him and sits back down as she says that she’s upset. Si Yang tells her that it’s alright and she apologizes, but he asks her why she’s apologizing and says that she’s so cute he could die before wondering how he could leave that type of woman. So Yeon says she’s upset again and Si Yang asks her why.

 

They continue to make their phone cases, with So Yeon successfully putting the bear on and she goes to drink some of her drink, causing Si Yang to laugh. She looks at him and he continues to laugh saying that she’s like a baby, probably because how she was saying she was upset but then calmly drinking her drink.

 

In his BRI, he says that he was worried. He says that he’s been by her side and protecting her throughout all that time and was now worried about who would be able to do it. He finishes by saying that it’s regretful.

 

Back at making the phone cases, So Yeon says that she likes her and goes to give the one she made to Si Yang. He tells her not to touch it because he’s not done yet and we see the finished product.

 

The two then go to eat tteokbokki. Si Yang says that he should eat quickly. He also tells her that it’s nice for the two of them to be able to eat tteokbokki in Hongdae. Park Mi Sun says that when it’s the last people always look for the most normal things to do. The two look to see how much time they have left and are surprised to see that it’s only 30 minutes. They quickly eat and get ready to leave as they head to the karaoke bar. Park Mi Sun points out that they went to the karaoke bar around the time they first met as well.

 

They look for a song when Si Yang mentions her recommended songs, like the songs she always chooses, which are ‘Why Did You Come Now’ and ‘Do You Know.’ She also admits that she thinks of the baseball event Si Yang did for her that time.

 

Si Yang chooses ‘Why Did You Come Now’ and So Yeon says that she’s nervous when the music starts and says that she should work hard to listen to it. Si Yang starts to sing and So Yeon listens. We then see a montage of moments starting from the first time they met set to the song.

 

Throughout the montage, and the part right before the montage, the captions say:

Siso Couple who have spent the last 7 months together

The nervous first meeting, You laughing standing right in front of me

By my side tightly holding my hand

A couple that looked at one another with expressions that were overflowing with love

Becoming an umbrella when it rained

A strong and thankful person who always took care of me

From the beginning until the end the husband who always showed an unchanging appearance

Thank you for being born

As much as we’ve gotten closer

A heart that is regretful in sending away

 

Back in the karaoke room the captions mention how stiff Si Yang looks when singing and says that he messed up a bit because of his nervousness. So Yeon then grabs the mic and joins in and motions for Si Yang to sing with her. They sing the end of the song together.

 

Next is ‘Do You Know.’ Si Yang wonders if he’ll do well and So Yeon tells him that of course he will and encourages him. The MCs comment on how it looks like the two of them are going to cry and how they can’t watch anymore because of that.

 

Si Yang starts singing the song and So Yeon looks on teary eyed. For those that don’t know, the song is kind of like a breakup song. They can’t look at each other and Si Yang is unable to sing, not just because of the high parts but because he’s also getting teary eyed. By the first chorus both of their tears are falling.

 

In her BRI, So Yeon says that she could say a million reasons as to why she liked Kwak Si Yang. She says that he’s like a consistent person as well as someone who’s warm. She also says that she was extremely happy and that she guarantees him, I guess like she means as a recommendation for someone? I’m not entirely sure. She says that from the beginning until now, she likes Kwak Si Yang.

 

In his BRI, Si Yang says that if his wife weren’t Kim So Yeon, he doesn’t think that he would’ve changed. He says that the reason he was able to reflect upon himself is because of his wife. He even says that he thinks goals and other things have appeared because of her as well, I guess meaning that he like has objectives and things he wants to go for. Si Yang also says that he’s really sorry because he thinks that the things he did for her were lacking in comparison to what he received. He finishes by saying: “Thank you for being together with me. Thank you very much. I…have changed…a lot.”

 

We see Si Yang and So Yeon back out on the street and the caption tells us that they have come back out after singing their last song. The two are laughing as they’re talking and joking around. The captions say that although they’re no longer SiSo Couple, as Kwak Si Yang and as Kim So Yeon, they are still tightly holding hands.

 

The final caption says: From now on, their genuine street date starts now…

Actually, i tried not to watch Siso last wgm but at last told myself its alright, accept the facts Siso had left wgm.

I agreed Both knew its their last day shootings in wgm from Siyang obvious expression. They tried very hard to controlled themselves but that moments of their feelings was totally the same we berries have when watching their departures.

Siyang say all along he been taking care of Soyeon during past months in wgm, what will become of her if he not at her side? He really cares Soyeon in details. Can't imagine who their future partners is because Siso are really really very matching.

I'm still felts they should given enough times for their farewell instead of rushing for the 2 hours. The handphone cover which Siyang gifted Soyeon was a oval shape mirror which i find this manjittnam quite observant  knowing ladies likes to look at mirror. 

For the remaining time,  they have their last enjoyment & relax walking the streets. Looking at their smile, me too feels contended but on another side, felt my pity to Siso couple who lost their freedom walking on the streets like we normally does. It seems very diffcults applied on them anymore. 

SISO COUPLE : Please be Happy & continue datings just like in wgm. Don't bother what others see in you & enjoy the truth within each others.

I'm not entirely sure when I would finish them and I'm not even sure if I would do them in order haha, but it's something that I might do during my spare time because honestly, the captions just made the whole experience better haha.

too bad we can't see this scene in the last ep, until the end, the PD love to cut uri SiSo scene (not really blame her, just state the fact... ) hahaha...it's really hard to repress my dislike to the PD

I think I will always get teary whenever I rewatch SiSo last episode. 

With all do respect, since we all know that there will be a "departure" episode for every wgm couple, I think the production team could have come up with a better "storyline" than what we were given yesterday.

Because as we all know So Yeon and Si Yang are both professional actress and actor and I saw that yesterday, no matter how sad and maybe dissapointed and heartbroken they were because it's their last filming of wgm, they were still professional in going through the "heartbreaking"filming process till the end. 

But the way that mbc, wgm treat yesterday episode as such, really made me think that they just want to get it over with and done with SiSo couple. Because I ciuld not feel that it's a special last episode, yes I demand that a last episode should be made special. 

They could have learn from Si Yang's meticulous or detailed way of organising an event, a special event.

SiSo Couple(all wgm couple) deserve a special last episode, since they have invested their heart and emotion, they definitely could have come up with a better "story line" to depart SiSo from their wgm, especially SiSo wgm fans and allow SiSo to embark on a real couple relationship. 

Having said that, but I still  agree and I am so grateful to the previous wgm PD that had matched Kim So Yeon with Kwak Si Yang, a match made in heaven that even have brought us berries as their shipper because we all fell in love with this loving, sincere, romantic, beautiful couple and we will forever puray and wish for their happiness as best friend, lover and loving, faithful, romantic and sincere marriage couple where they will grow old together with their beautiful children.,..

I will always love and cherish SiSo couple, they are the first couple (and hopely the only couple) that I fell in love with and shipped.

And thank you Kim So Yeon and Kwak Si Yang for everything that you have shown us this past 7 months, my prayers of every positive and good things to come your way are with both of you.

And thanknyou SiSo couple for letting me become a berry and be a part of the lovely loving berries family... Love you all

But seeing the calm and composed Siso couple, they dont give me a sad vibe but took the chance to thank each other for what they have done and given each other.

And on a good point, I love how Soyeon being mature in handling her emotions. Like leading her nampyeon slowly (asking him where to go and singing along with him when he had hard time)

I agree w you @catgoh92  this is where I understand why Si Yang said in ep1 that he had wished for an older wife so that he can rely on her.... guess he knows what r his weaknesses (show emotions, whether anger or sadness, too easily) and he needs a sunbaenim.wife to help.him guide him and be his pillar. ..

Oh my! Just watching the chinese subbed episode from yesterday. How could I have missed this? This was when Siyang had tasted the seaweed soup that So Yeon prepared for his birthday and one of his 101 members expressed envy of the situation. Siyang looks at So Yeon and slyly said 'let's quickly get married'. That was a really sweet compliment whether or not he meant it in jest or it was a hint hint moment again.

And all those around them naturally went ooooo after Siyang made that statement. The caption says 'An unforgettable event with envy directed at one person'.

That's what make me can overcome my sadness of their departure from WGM. I only cried while watching them streaming, but seeing how calm and composed they were in their BRI, I'm sure they still continue their relationship, so when I watch the last episode for the second and nth times, I'm not cry anymore.

Still feel sad of course, cause my saturday will be so empty without SiSo, and I think it's what make SiSo sad, because now they loss their opportunity to date openly without the need to use cap and mask. When Si Yang said his regretful and said he's not done much for So Yeon , I think he means that he still want makes many memories with So Yeon openly in WGM, like street date, cherry blossom date. That kind of date it's hard to be done, because of their popularity.

So, the last episode was special for me, absolutely the credit was not for the PD of course. The credit is for SiSo, which Si Yang was the one who suggest to do in the street date. Before I thought it would be great if their last date was in their house, so they can lovey dovey to the max But after watched, I really grateful that street date was their last date in WGM. Because that kind of date is kind of privilege for them. And I love they had time to eat tteokbookki (I think So Yeon never experience eat that in that kind of place).

 

@LeeK I really like what you said   this is a weird episode....there are so many times where the feeling of sadness came while smiling....and you start smiling while feeling sad..   that's how I feeling too while watching SiSo last episode
