Okay okay~~!! Give Seo Kang Joon and Lee Yeon Hee their much needed love line so they can exit the scene and let Cha Seung Won and Kim Jae Won wow us with their skills. That way, this drama can redeem itself

Writer, please take care of Kwanghae and Injo from now on

@orurumonroe, sorry to cut your post... hahaha, it is so funny "Kim Jae Won, a criminal who roams the streets in hanbok" but he portrayed himself so well as the bad boy Injo and he looks good with the long hair. I agree, yes, I want to see more Gwanghae and Injo scenes. Let them shine!!!

Han Juwan fretted about his lingering attachment with Lee Yeon-hee.

June 23rd episode of MBC's Monday & Tuesday drama, "Splendid Politics" showed Kang In-woo (Han Juwan), who was having hard time because he could not let go of Jeongmyeong (Lee Yeon-hee).

While Kang In-woo watching his father, who was preparing to deport army to Myeong behind Gwanghae's back, he became worried about Jeonmyeong's safety.

Kang In-woo remembered the time Jeongmyeong returned the bracelet to him to make it clear she was rejecting his love. He talked to himself, "I'm still attached to her, how silly".

However, Kang In-woo still recollected what Kim Gae-si (Kim Yeo-jin) had told him, "I'll help you win Jeongmyeong's heart". He again blamed himself, "When will you ever stop behaving miserably".

   Love this scene. Great music, stunning costumes, gorgeous Princess, aspiring speech by the King...

Was awesome even though I had no idea what they were saying hahah!

Can't wait for the subs, can't wait to watch more Jungmyung now that she dresses as a female for once, and Injo!! Fresh character for this drama!

@Lucel18 I haven't finished watching the episode yet, I'm exactly at that scene where JaGyung promises her to stay by her side... Believe me, I was ready to pop in here and yell "I TOLD YOU SO PEOPLE, JA GYUNG HAD ROMANTIC FEELINGS FOR HER",  now I can relax and be certain that my hopeless romantic ajhumma's radar still works perrrrfect!

And I know this ship won't go anywhere, I don't care, I'll enjoy the ride and the "shadowing" Ja Gyung will do... very eager to see how he gives his life for her, this is what I call "pure love"...:wub:

Lol my friend says the same thing every time too..I tell her not to expect too much because the princess gonna marry Joo Won..then she gets mad at me..I root for those two also although I know its not gonna happen, more fun for me haha.

Timeline should be around & before the Battle of Sarhu  (14 -16 April 1619). Prince Neungchang 3rd son of Prince Jeongwon 5th son of Seonjo was executed in 1615

Episode 21

Kim Gae Shi mentioned of the various prophecy that had been use to stirred public sentiment that she so fear that Princess Jeongmyeong prophecy (that led to the Treason of 1612 -Gyechuk, in this drama)

The most notable one is Taejo Yi Seong Gye (Joseon Founding King) ride on public sentiment for his legitimacy to form his new Dynasty from the crumbles of Goryeo by the prophecy that  Mu (木) Ja (子) will gain the country. The combination of the characters Muk (木) Ja (子) = Yi (李), the surname of Yi Seong Gye....it is said that Yi Bang Won (Taejong 3rd Joseon King) was the spin Doctor

This is also why that eventually Princess Jeongmyeong suppose prophecy will be Injo detest suspicion on Princess Jeongmyeong & her soon to be husband Hong Joo Won as his legitimacy to the throne was endorse by Queen Dowager Inmok & also Princess Jeongmyeong birth mother & his fear that Queen Inmok will "pull the carpet" under him since his reign is full of continuous rebellions & treasons & also invasion & Queen Inmok might be influence by public sentiment to "replace" him, being the King maker, she can endorse Injo, definitely she can also endorse others

The ceremony ritual that Gwanghaegun choose to introduce Princess Jeongmyeong to the public is during Cheongmyeong (청명,清明)

Cheongmyeong (청명, 清明, literally clear & bright) is the one of the 24 solar terms (이십사 (24)절기,二十四節氣) usually date in April 5th, that depict It is clear and bright (when it's not raining), & the weather becomes noticeably warmer. A misnomer, particularly in southern China. In China & in Chinese custom, this is the date where people goes & tend to their ancestor graves

The 24 solar terms originated & was first used in China & still adopted in Korea until now was created thousand of years ago on the basis of practical need of agriculture. It is determined by the changes of the sun's position in the zodiac throughout the year. It has 2 segment each month. The ancient Chinese will use this as a guide for agriculture production, with special climate signs such as flood & drought, cultural ceremonies, family gatherings & even healthy living tips.
