Sakanaction Releases PV for “Shin Takarajima”

On September 30, Sakanaction will release their new single “Shin Takarajima.” It serves as the theme song for the movie “Bakuman.” Today, the band released the music video for the song via GYAO! The clip was directed by Tanaka Yusuke, who has directed previous music videos for Sakanaction, such as “Yoru no Odoriko”, “‘Bach no Senritsu wo Yoru ni Kiita Sei Desu.'”, and “Sayonara wa Emotion.” The music video for “Shin Takarajima” pays tribute to the music and variety shows of the Showa era (1926 – 1989), more specifically the 70s and 80s. "Sakanaction will release their 11th single "新宝島 / Shin Takarajima" on September 30th. The song is a theme song of the movie "Bakuman". The song is inspired by the story and the theme is "write lines."

The jacket art of the luxurious first limited edition, which is named "Bakuman" BOX, is a collaboration with Obata Takeshi who is an original comic writer of "Bakuman". The BOX include not only illustration, but also a photo of the Obata's work place and the moment of his writing. It expressed the moment of "write lines", which is the theme of the song."

Just like in the script of the movie where Saiko and Shujin went to the Jump editorial department, Takeru Sato and Kamiki Ryunosuke did a whole day's worth of campaign effort by going to different press editorial offices to promote the opening day of the movie, "Bakuman". 9/30/15
