Taecyeon Tries to Make Kimchi on tvN's "Three Meals a Day"

On the October 17th, the very first episode of tvN's "Three Meals a Day" which featured Taecyeon and Lee Soo Jin was aired, showing the two living in a countryside home and given the mission to feed themselves with three meals a day.

Although the mission sounds easy, there was a catch. The challenging part was that the only ingredient provided would be rice, and the cast members would need to prepare their side dishes with ingredients found around the house. The menu will be chosen by the producers of the show afterwards.

There were other conditions as well, such as the rules of having to live a fully organic life without technology. The cast members' cell phones were confiscated during filming, and were only allowed to use the landline phone.

Taecyeon and Lee Seo Jin was given a mission to create fermented sliced radish kimchi. Taecyeon, having no previous cooking experience, attempted to contact his mother for help. The star quickly realized that he didn't know his mother's phone number by heart, and dialed 114, which is an information directory. He asked for the JYP Entertainment office number which he called, and received a busy message. The idol then said, "They're not answering..But I don't know my mom's number..."

We have so many debuts this (and last) week! Including a new variety show by Evil Genius Na PD and his ever whining-but-still-impressive Muse, Lee Seo-jin aka Seo Jinnie. Though this time, Na PD is “nice” enough to provide Seo Jinnie with a maknae to “bully” — he’s Ok Taecyon from 2PM.

The premise for Three is simple, throw the 2 guys into the countryside (imo, it looks quite a nice place albeit a little out of the way) and make them cook 3 meals a day. The catch is they muz collect, harvest, grind, polish, pound, and of course cook their own ingredients…and the menus are pre-set by the crew. But it’s not as though they are to prepare a Michelin-star meal, but fairly common home-cooked Korean dishes. To Seo Jinnie and Taec however, these are equivalent to 3x daily torture sessions. Cos the former only eats salad or sandwiches and the latter, instant ramen. Well, at the end of the show, maybe they’d lose their appetite for instant food — after consuming a week of “wholesome, hearty home-cooked dishes”. (snicker)

Kim Ji Ho Displays Her Eating Broadcast

[by Sora Ghim] Actress Kim Ji Ho appeared as a guest for tvN show ‘Three Meals in a Day.’
The producers released stills of Lee Seo Jin, Ok Taecyeon, last week’s guest Lee Kwang Gyu, and this week’s guest Kim Ji Ho. Looking at the pictures, the guests sit around a table and look like they’re having a good time. In one of the images, Taecyeon is seen bursting into laughter, raising curiosity as to what he was laughing at.
In the preview shown last week for this upcoming episode, Kim Ji Ho is seen commenting on all the food saying, “That looks good,” “If we stir fry the pasta, I bet it’ll taste good,” and “It’ll taste good if we fry it with the oil from the pork.” She displays her love for food as she earns a new nickname by clearing away all the food on the plates.
