Teaser video revealed for new Park Shin-hye and Lee Jong-suk drama

The first teaser video was revealed on Saturday for the upcoming drama “Pinocchio,” starring actor Lee Jong-suk and actress Park Shin-hye.

The broadcaster posted the teaser video on the drama’s official homepage. In the video clip, Lee is wearing a high school uniform and has bushy hair, and is participating in a quiz show.

Lee looks at the camera meaningfully in the short teaser, raising fans’ anticipation.

A question in the quiz show asks about “Pinocchio Syndrome” -- getting hiccups whenever one tries to tell a lie. The female lead, Park Shin-hye, suffers from the syndrome.

The teaser also showed the two main characters in a romantic mood while watching the sunset. The chemistry between the two actors is also gaining attention from fans.

SBS’ “Pinocchio” is scheduled to broadcast on Nov. 12 after “My Lovely Girl.” The drama is about young news reporters working at the social affairs desk and fighting for justice.

Teaser image of SBS’s upcoming drama <Pinocchio> starring Lee Jong-suk have been released.

Drama <Pinocchio>, which will be aired from November 12, have released the teaser image on its official website on October 25.

In the teaser iamge, Lee Jong-suk with bushy hair is appearing in a quiz show wearing a school uniform. His old fashioned style and his serious looks capture the eyes.

At the quiz show, Lee Jong-suk has to give an answer to the question, “What is the mane of the syndrome that occurs when people lies? This syndrome occurs due to dysautonomia.”

This 20 second-long teaser image shows complete transformation of actor Lee Jong-suk. The question Lee Jong-suk guesses at the show also arouses curiosity of this drama.

This teaser image also shows Lee Jong-suk and Park Shin-hye making eye contact under the beautiful sunset.

Drama <Pinocchio> starring Lee Jong-suk, Park Shin-hye, Kim Young-gwang and Lee Yu-bi tells a love story of a man who lives his life under fake name and a woman who can’t lie due to her chronic symptom. This drama will be aired from November 12.

Lee Jong Suk Unveils His Shaggy New Hairstyle in First ‘Pinocchio’ Teaser

Giving a first look at the drama, SBS’ Pinocchio released its first teaser. 

In the teaser released on October 27 through SBS’ Pinocchio, Lee Jong Suk, in the role of his character, Choi Dal Po, appears on a game show. He’s asked for the name of the symptom that causes a person to have hiccups when lies are told. 

Pinocchio, which stars Lee Jong Suk, Park Shin Hye, Kim Young Kwang, Lee Yubi, and more, is about a group of reporters in the social department, who chase after the truth. 

The drama will air on November 12.

But Pinocchio syndrome is a big obstacle to Inha. She can't do push and pull of a relationship with a guy she likes, none the less two-timing. Same applies to her work - even though she's not perticularly righteous, she needs to tell the truth always because she starts hiccuping when she turns away from truth. Due to this, Inha has bigger motive for truth than other reporters.

Choi Dalpo



Dalpo is tall and good-looking but no one recognize it because his looks are hidden behind ragged clothes and bushy hair. Not a flower boy but he is a 'soon-to-be handsome guy' who could become handsome once he dresses up.
His true name is Ki Ha-myoung. Choi Gongpil(Inha's grandpa) rescued Dalpo from drowning and adopted him whe he was 14, and Hamyoung got a new name Dalpo since then. 
By the adoption, Dalpo got to have a new famliy with Gongpil(who is almost an age of Dalpo's grandpa) as dad, Dalpyung(who is almost an age of Dalpo's father) as younger brother, and Inha(who is the same age with Dalpo) as a niece. For Gongpil who believes Ha-myoung as his deceased son Dalpo who drowned to death in the ocean, Ha-myoung erased his name and his past and lives as Dalpo, a son of Gongpil.

He hides his smart brain, which he could memorize the whole content of a library, and intentionally scores zero in all exams, thus got a nickname 'All ppang (All Zero)', because he wanted to live as Dalpo who's not good at studies and a bit dumb. And also he lives as a fashion terrorist, hiding his good looks, to live as Dalpo who wore shabby rubber shoes and bushy hair. 
Dalpo pretends not to be interested in college and yields the opportunity to his niece Inha because Dalpo knew the family's financial hardship - and he starts to work as a taxi driver. However, with his smart brain, excellent memorizing capability, and common sense and experiences earned from taxi driving, he becomes a reporter who has more special talent than other reporters.

Kim Young Kwang as Seo BeomjoSeo Beomjo

Beomjo is an heir to a conglomerate and is born with a silver spoon.
He is a innocent and cheerful character as he has lived in comfort since he was a kid. He has a sleek face and body as a professional model so people keep glancing at him, and has an excellent fashion sense.  

He didn't have a reason to have a job since he earns monthly income from property lease as more than dozen times of average corporate worker's annual salary, and he had no motive in life. He worked as a fashion magazine reporter as it seemed cool, but that job wasn't interesting much. His life was like a yacht floating in a lake with no wind at all -peaceful but boring.

And then, a wind starts to blow which can move his yacht. The beginning of the wind is Choi Inha, who he never met.
As Beomjo happened to use old mobile phone number of Cha-ok, Inha's mom, he has been reading messages that Inha sent to her mom over 10 years. By peeping the messages, he became interested in other's life for the first time, and he longs to meet the person. This brings changes to  Beomjo's life.
And the wind leads him to a fierce life of a social affairs reporter.
