Yongpal Drops Second Moody OTP Drama Poster and First Stills of Second Female Lead Chae Jung Ahn

 

 

 

I like everything so far about upcoming SBS Wed-Thurs drama Yongpal (Yongpalyi), other than leading man Joo Won. But I don’t hate him, plus his styling in this drama is the best I’ve seen from him, so perhaps his turn as the rogue doctor channeling Healer is just the performance the flip the switch for me. The drama continues with a slew of great promotional material, producing an eye-catching second poster that is as interesting as the first one where Kim Tae Hee and Joo Won’s face silhouettes are formed by lettering.

The second poster amps up the divide between a rich heiress stuck in a coma and a poor doctor risking death to earn more money, with the dawning backdrop of the city forming the dividing barrier. The production also released the first stills of second female lead Chae Jung Ahn, who will be married to second male lead Jo Hyun Jae in the drama. He’s playing a baddie but it’s unclear whether she’s be his willing or unwitting helper. Either way she’s grown on me as a supporting actress since Prime Minister and I whatever her character is up to it’ll certainly fun watching.

Kim Tae Hee personally addresses marriage rumors with Rain

During the press conference for SBS drama 'Yong Pal' on July 30, actress Kim Tae Hee personally addressed the constant circulation of marriage rumors regarding her and her beau, Rain.

It has been three years since they first started dating.  "If I were to tell the truth," she began, "of course we talked to each other about [marriage] while dating, but we've never made concrete plans or taken any form of action.  I, like everyone else, don't know at all whom or how I would marry.  

"I don't have any plans, but [the media] keeps making plans [for me], so I feel a bit burdened.  Please understand that I'm not in the situation to explain multiple times that each and every thing [regarding the topic] is not true or to take action."

Yes, you are right. JW’s reaction is so cute, hahaha........laughing at JWI teasing KTH about bringing ‘Rain’ and it has the ’sweating’ reaction on the screen after that.

Kim Tae Hee Candidly Discusses Her Acting Skills

 

 

On July 30, SBS held a press conference for its upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Yong Pal” with actors Kim Tae Hee, Joo Won, Jo Hyun Jae, Chae Jung Ahn, Jung Woong In, and Stephanie Lee in attendance.

Kim Tae Hee opens up about her acting skills and comments, “I ended up debuting and acting without being able to prepare a lot. Because of this I showed a lot of vulnerabilities. I think this is why viewers developed prejudice that wasn’t prejudice concerning my acting. I have been making efforts until now, but I will continue to work hard to be better in the future as well.”

She continues, “I’m don’t know what kind of evaluation I will receive with this project, but I will think of it as a sign of interest. I will make it an opportunity to grow.”

Meanwhile, “Yong Pal” will air its first episode on August 5 at 10 p.m. KST.

Kim Tae Hee confesses the lack of screen time made her hesitate about taking on drama 'Yong Pal'

 

Kim Tae Hee, who is taking on the lead role in SBS's new drama 'Yong Pal, gave the reasons on deciding to join the cast, and why she initially hesitated on accepting the role.

At the drama's press July 30 conference held at SBS Hall in Seoul, Kim Tae Hee told the reporters, "When I watched up to the fourth episode, it felt like I was watching an interesting novel." 

 

The actress added, "Truthfully, I had doubts about acting on the drama because up until the fourth episode, I had too little screen time. But the production was just so great and I thought that if I'm able to just do my best for part of a well made drama, then I think that's okay too," and emphasized, "That's how much I liked the script." 

 

Her lack of screen time she's mentioning is probably due to the fact that she plays a character who's been in a coma for long time. 

She continued, "After seeing the highlight video I feel good because [the drama] was made well just as how I imagined it. Regardless of how many parts I'm given, I think it'll be a meaningful project."

 

You can catch Kim Tae Hee, along with Joo Won in the drama when it first airs this coming August 5 at 10 p.m. (KST)!

Joo Won shared his thoughts on working with Kim Tae Hee.


A production presentation for SBS drama Yong Pal-ie was held at the SBS Hall in Mokdong on July 30, where Joo Won said, "When I heard Tae Hee nuna was my partner, I was more excited than anyone."


Joo Won added, "It′s the same with my role, but all of the roles are subject to the candidates. Among them, I pushed for Tae Hee nuna, saying she′d be good. If you′re a man, wouldn′t you obviously think working with Tae Hee nuna would be great?"


He continued, "I think I fell for nuna more at the first script reading. I thought, ′How could someone with her looks also have a good personality?′ I thought, ′There′s beauty in personality as well.′ The more I see her, I think she′s pretty, and I think I′ll have fun working."

 

 

Yong Pal-ie is a melodrama about a doctor who will see any patient who is willing to pay and meets a ′sleeping beauty,′ who is also a chaebol heiress, at the hospital. 


Jang Hyuk Rin, who wrote Reset and Oh Jin Seok, who directed Lovers in Paris, Lovers in Prague, Goddess of Marriage and Modern Farmer will team up with the cast, which includes Kim Tae Hee, Joo Won, Jo Hyun Jae, Chae Jung An, Jung Woong In, Song Kyung Chul, Stephanie Lee and more. The first episode will air on August 5 at 10 p.m. KST.

Rain’s idols are Jackie Chan and Jet Li and he is keen to do Kung Fu movie. 

Why I get the feeling that he may just get to do one real soon? Anyway, my prediction has never been good, kekeke...... but I still hope for this for him because, to my mind, he has proven his mettle in this genre and I like the fighting Rain, like in Speed Racer and Ninja Assassin. He was so good in The Prince though in such a short screen time.
