I really like the first video below, capturing an excited KTH’s fan presenting KTH with a gift when approaching KTH for her autograph.

A very happy and thrilling interaction between a fan and her bias!

At one point, KTH seems to remind her long time bodyguard (the same one who always attend to passing the card for signing by KTH at almost all her signing event) about the fan too!

How terribly cute, lovely and heartwarming to watch!

Video below shows KTH getting ready for the fan signing event.

I've posted a video on the stage event with the Celltrion CEO and the brand ambassadors that include KTH above.

Below are also videos of the stage event. The first two, I believe, were taken from different angles.

My sincere apologies if I did not get them in the correct order.

I was thinking that with KTH attending the 2016 Celltrion Skincure Big Concert in Seoul on 29 October 2016 (Seoul time), Rain would be resting at home (in Seoul, after returning from a long filming period in China and the opening ceremony of Nirav Modi’s store in Hong Kong the other day), but no, he soon flew to LA to attend the 2016 LACMA Art & Film Gala honouring the pioneering Light and Space artist Robert Irwin and Academy Award–winning filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow, which was also held on 29 October 2016, but LA time.

Omooooo, Rain is so busy, but this is a very big event, apparently known as the “MET of the West”. Rain attended the MET Ball in NYC last year and this year, the MET of the West in LA!

There are his good/close friends, PSY and Ko So Young (KSY) attending the same gala, along with other K-celebs including Lee Byung Hun (LBH) and Lee Min Jung (LMJ).

I can spot the connections between those who attended the 2016 Celltrion Skincure Big Concert and the 2016 LACMA Art & Film Gala.

Firstly, the one person who managed to be in both places was PSY! He performed at the 2016 Celltrion Skincure Big Concert and found enough time to fly to LA to attend the 2016 LACMA Art & Film Gala, both on the same day. As said above, one was Seoul time whereas the other was LA time!

If we check again, there’s Jang Dong Gun, the brand ambassador for Dear Sir, a product of Celltrion who was at the 2016 Celltrion Skincure Big Concert and his wife, KSY, attended the 2016 LACMA Art & Film Gala!

Then, we have LBH, the male lead of IRIS where KTH was the female lead and his wife, LMJ, the costar of Rain in Come Back Mister!

What a “close-knitted” or “well-connected” K-celebs! Hehe... :P:D

So, what is LACMA Art & Film Gala? And, for year 2016? I picked the article below to shed some light:

2016 ART+FILM HONOREES

About Robert Irwin

Southern California artist Robert Irwin was born in Long Beach, California, in 1928 and spent significant time in Los Angeles where he became one of the pioneers of the L.A.-based “Light and Space” movement in the 1960s. For more than six decades, Robert Irwin has explored perception as the fundamental issue of art. Irwin, through a continual breaking down of the frame, came to regard the role of art as “conditional,” or something that works in and responds to the specific surrounding world of experience.

Irwin has conceived more than 55 site-conditional projects since 1975, ranging from the architectural and grounds design of Dia: Beacon (completed in 2003) to the lush Central Garden for the Getty Center in Los Angeles, California (completed in 2005). At LACMA, Irwin began working on the Primal Palm Garden in 2010. This evolving installation is composed of over a hundred palms, cycads, and tree ferns and includes rare and ancient plant species. Irwin’s use of “primal” varieties is a nod to the nearby La Brea Tar Pits and its ice age discoveries. Currently, the palm tree trunks and its surroundings are documented through 60 photographs by Philipp Scholz Ritterman, which are on view in the lobby area just inside the entrance to the Ahmanson Building.

LACMA has collected the work of Robert Irwin since the early 1960s and has consistently displayed the artist’s seminal works at the museum. In 2015, the museum acquired Irwin’s

Page 3

Miracle Mile, a site-specific installation currently on view in BCAM. Miracle Mile reconsiders the properties of light, material, and color and responds to both Wilshire Boulevard (the storied thoroughfare it faces) and Primal Palm Garden. In July 2016, Irwin debuted a new work, his largest–scale work to date, for the Chinati Foundation’s permanent collection. Additionally, a major survey of the artist’s work was on view at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington D.C. earlier this year. Robert Irwin: All the Rules Will Change (April 7– September 5, 2016) was the first exhibition devoted to Irwin’s work from 1960s and marks the first U.S. museum survey outside of California since 1977.

About Kathryn Bigelow

Kathryn Bigelow is an artist of singular talent. As a film director/producer, she has crafted a body of work that challenges genre norms and offers viscerally stunning portraits of characters and conflicts resonant to contemporary culture. Two-time Oscar-winner Bigelow is currently in production on her Untitled Detroit Project, a crime drama which explores systemic racism in urban Detroit and is set against the backdrop of the city’s devastating riots that took place over five haunting summer days in 1967. The film is set to be released in 2017, which marks the 50th anniversary of the riots.

Bigelow previously directed and produced the critically acclaimed, multi-Oscar- nominated Zero Dark Thirty. In 2010, The Hurt Locker earned her two Oscars, for Best Picture and Best Director. Chronicling an unseen side of the Iraq war while revealing the soul-numbing rigors of the modern battlefield, the film was hailed by Time’s Richard Corliss as “a near perfect movie,” and deemed “a classic of fear, tension, and bravery which will still be studied twenty years from now,” by The New Yorker’s David Denby.

Originally trained as a painter, Bigelow graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute and was invited to study at the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. She then entered the graduate film program at Columbia University, where she earned her master’s degree. In 2011, MoMA honored Bigelow’s work in both film and the visual arts with a showcase and exhibition entitled Crafting Genre: Kathryn Bigelow.

Bigelow supports many environmental and animal welfare charities, in addition to the EOD Memorial Foundation, the Wounded Warrior Foundation, and the Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation. She also recently created the Public Service Announcement Last Days, which was awarded The Humane Society of the United States Genesis Award in 2015 for Outstanding Short Film. The award cited the "impactful story-telling to call critical attention to the link between terrorism and the ivory trade and its dire consequences for elephants.”

Page 4

Bigelow will continue to shed light on the dangers of the ivory trade in The Protectors, a virtual reality short film co-created with Imraan Ismail for National Geographic. The project will expose the dangerous and grueling reality faced by rangers protecting African elephants from ivory poachers.

2016 ART+FILM PERFORMER

About BØRNS

Growing up in coastal Michigan, BØRNS was living in a secluded treehouse home in the Los Angeles canyons where he wrote both his debut Candy EP and Dopamine. Dopamine was released in the fall of 2015 to rave reviews with the Associated Press calling it “some of the most heartfelt electronic-based music in recent memory,” while Spin noted that BØRNS “writes brilliant pop songs that worm their way into your heart in an instant.” “Electric

Love” has earned streams of over 48 million on Spotify, broke into the top 15 at Alternative radio, and garnered praise from the media with NPR calling the song “catchy and clever.” BØRNS spent all of 2016 on the road performing sold-out headline shows, festival appearances at Coachella, Hangout, Sasquatch, and Bonnaroo, dates with Mumford & Sons, and recently wrapped a fall tour with The Lumineers. About the Art+Film Gala

The Art+Film Gala supports LACMA’s ongoing initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming. Past LACMA exhibitions exploring the intersection of Art+Film have featured American auteurs like Tim Burton and Stanley Kubrick, Mexican cinematographer Gabriel Figueroa, French New Wave icon Agnès Varda, and, most recently, film and video works by five contemporary African artists—reflecting both a global perspective and the diversity of Los Angeles. On view now, Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters explores the celebrated Mexican filmmaker’s creative process through his vast collection of paintings, drawings, maquettes, artifacts, and concept film art.

For the sixth annual Art+Film Gala, LACMA provided live social media coverage on Instagram and Snapchat during the red carpet and cocktail hour. #artandfilm

There’s a SK news article about Rain attending the gala.

Ah, the headline mentioned about his blonde hair!

I was just thinking the other day that he might just dye his hair platinum as so many Kpop idols are doing that. It’s a trend! We see that he picked the blonde colour!

But, wait a minute. What’s with something darkish at the middle of his bottom lip? Is it a pimple or cut? Hopefully nothing serious, but if it is not pimple ... errrr, could it be perhaps due to, ahem... some hard kissing with his beloved KTH?!?! ;):P:D  Hehe...oooppppsssss, just kidding! Shipper’s mind working overtime here! :P:rolleyes::lol::lol::lol:

Currently, the palm tree trunks and its surroundings are documented through 60 photographs by Philipp Scholz Ritterman, which are on view in the lobby area just inside the entrance to the Ahmanson Building.

LACMA has collected the work of Robert Irwin since the early 1960s and has consistently displayed the artist’s seminal works at the museum. In 2015, the museum acquired Irwin’s

Let’s get on with the article ... which was Google-translated.

Hi Nancyzak the one in his lip is the "lip sore" that usually pops up when he's so busy & I guess give him stress................It's just that it's very transparent this time because of the dark color this time. Stress can lead to a cold sore outbreak or sun exposure.   Sometimes there's no known reason. I was told by my BF before when I asked him because I saw that for the 1st time in RAIN's lip & he said that also dental procedures that stretch the lip may occasionally trigger the virus. The border of the lip is the most common place that these sores appear. This is more likely in people who have weakened immune systems.  Cold sores are common. They usually are not dangerous.  It's just that - hahaha - in the meantime RAIN has to avoid kissing "anyone" while he has blisters and sores. Cold sores can spread through kissing and by sharing things that touch the lips. :P

Hi @willenette,

Thanks, dear, for sharing the info on Rain’s susceptibility to sore lips.

Evidently, I only have the best, happy and most lovey-dovey thoughts for the couple, but alas, it can’t and not meant to be, at least not yet, huh, until his lower lip recovers from the blister and sore. In the meantime “patience and refrain” are the key words! LOL... Bet there’ll be plenty for the couple to makeup and with him finishing the filming of ANTE, there’ll be plenty of time for the “couple-quality-time" as he should mainly stay put in Seoul for the time being, at least until his next project that will take him away from Seoul is announced! :P:lol:

I read in a recent SK news article that he has been busy working on his next album all the time, taking time during Korean’s Thanksgiving to check on the progress (or something like that). Hopefully when he is back in Seoul next, he finds time to take food that nourishes his body and build up his immunity system. As we all know Koreans are famous for their energy building, well-being and nourishing dishes/food. He should not be short on that with when he is back in Seoul.

KTH, on the other hand, looks very good and happy at the 2016 Celltrion Skincure Big Concert. Probably her mother’s care must have played a role there. I hope her next project does not require her to manage her diet like she did for Yongpal to reflect a person who is frail and thin due to years of forced sedation. I bet, when she makes a comeback, it will be another interesting role unlike her previous K-drama roles, one that she has not failed to do before this!

In the meantime, here is the Google-translated SK report on Rain’s entertainment activity that I came across:

Rain, Chinese drama finishing stage ...

81059721.1.jpg

Singer-actor Rain is pulling a rein to the stage comeback as the Chinese drama finishes.

Rain, which has been shooting ‘August Not The End' in Shanghai, China since early July, has returned to Korea after the schedule on the 24th. There is room for additional shots in the future, but over the past four months, most of the shoots have been completed, so you have time to concentrate on your recordings.

"We are currently recording some candidate songs that are worthy of a title song," said the Rain-affiliated company Rain Company. "It seems like we should finish the recording and decide on the title song or take additional songs."

Rain, who had already prepared a new album for the first half of this year and then postponed it one time, played another album by casting ‘August Not The End'. In the meantime, I've worked on some songs that would be a title song, but I've been collecting songs for music that can show new trends. When he returned home in September to send the Chuseok holidays to his family, he also listened to demo songs in the recording room and conceived performances.

Rain's new album will be released two years after his debut album' Rain Effect 'which was released in January, 2014. It is also the first album to be released after setting up his own record label company called Rain Company. "I am burdened with albums that have a lot of meaning, but I'm excited about meeting fans with good works," he said.

Nancyzak, thanks for sharing the above link, dear. I'm confused about his drama schedules right now because I thought all along he's there in Canada filming since  I thought all along the plan for his filming there is second half of October, before his schedule in Hong Kong (which was 26 October).....And he was in US last October 29, right? In fact, Rain Company had announced Rain's flight schedule going to Vancouver! About the album release, if current plan pushes-through, this is nearing, they say around November - December. During his Macao concert RAIN also mentioned about doing a movie this year..... :P

Hi @willenette,

You are welcome. Is Rain flying to or is he in Vancouver now?

I gathered before this that the trip to Canada/countries other than China (for filming of ANTE in overseas as initially planned) was canceled, when Rain did not fly back to Seoul on 17/10/16 to follow the flight schedule to Canada on 18/18/16 as published by his company. In fact he remained in China for continuous filming until it ended. He then flew back to Seoul before departing to Hong Kong to inaugurate the opening of Nirav Modi store on 26/10/16. I thought with the ending of ANTE filming, there is no need to fly to other countries for continued filming anymore. Perhaps clearer information will come your way later. :D

Hi Nancyzak, we wait & see, dear..... I’m more excited of his upcoming album because I know all along that RAIN participated in making the melodies, writing the lyrics and the production of every song here. I’m happy that he will be back on stage soon, singing and again communicating with fans up close & personal. :P

Something to ship KimBi couple, now that both are on ‘hibernation” mode; meaning hibernation from the limelight, heheh!

It’s about Rain and the correlation between his glasses and KTH!

So, what about it that deserves a topic for my shipping?

Oh, have you not noticed? Most of the time when he is with KTH, he has his glasses on?

Like, the first time we saw the pair, going to the BBQ restaurant? Look at Rain with his glasses!

Picture No. 1

Kim-Tae-Hee-Rain_1402930407_af_org.jpg

Another day and time, months later, at another restaurant. There is Rain and his glasses!

Picture No. 2

kim-tae-hee-rain.jpg

May this year. Rain wearing his glasses again. On arrival from the lovebirds’ holiday in Jeju Island.

Picture No. 3

photo-1-1464149229338.jpg

The one time that we do not see him with glasses when he was with KTH was the picture. This was on their arrival from China after the JVJQ event.

Picture No. 4

photo607999.jpg

What can we deduce from all the pictures above?

No. 1. : Rain wears his glasses when KTH is next to him.

No. 2. : When she is not next to him like in Picture No. 4 above, Rain was without his glasses!

No. 3 : Look at his shirt. When he has his glasses on, he wears shirt with sleeves folded up to his elbow whereas in Picture No. 4, it was a singlet style T.

So, what could I conjecture by the picture below, of Rain at the departure hall, departing for Seoul, after finishing with the filming of ANTE?

Any guesses?

Mine is very simple. Man is wearing his glasses and in shirt with his sleeves folded to his elbow. If going by his style and fashion as shown in Pictures 1, 2 and 3 above, no one can be faulted to form in his/her mind an idea that he might very well fly home and straight to his darling’s arms?!?! Hehehe... :P:lol::lol::lol:

With that, wishing KimBi couple and everybody, a very Happy Weekend!

May KimBi couple have a very lovey dovey weekend. If no chance for that this weekend, there bound to be another day for such!

Same for everybody else with his/her significant half!

For those who are unattached, well, what are you waiting for? Go out and have a blast of a weekend! Palli, palli!!!

I noticed the same thing about his „glassless glasses“ lol it seems that he always wears them when he's with his gf in public... maybe he thinks people won't recognize him then? rofl then he failed.

Also apparently they both like the Philipp Plein brand. Here's him in their skull sweaters.

Representatives of longtime celebrity couples

2. Rain & Kim Tae Hee - 4 years

Hi @Lucia_love,

Thank you for the sharing the above information. I had in fact had an Indonesian article translated about the Representatives of Longtime Celebrity Couples by Daum Cafe a few days back. I intend to post it later, but now that you brought it up, I’ll do so after this post. ;):D

Sometimes, it’s so scary to read all the K-celeb couples break-ups due to tight working schedules that leave them no time for couple quality time. We have read a few K-celeb couples who started their relationships about the same time as KimBi couple and ones that we think would last like forever, broke-up after some time. We can imagine how hard it is to lead a celeb life if we were to follow their work schedules, what’s more to have the significant half also a celeb. There's so much demand on them to keep their fans entertained and happy. To have come so far and for so long together amidst all that, we all can say there is only much to admire and respect KimBi couple for. I think this could mainly due to their maturity and wisdom in handling their relationship, be it in public or in private. Kudos to KimBi couple! May their love long last and lead them to the aisle one day! One day, that hopefully comes soon!

Thank you to you too for sharing this information about Rain wearing Philipp Plein’s designs. I checked the Naver blogs that published PP’s wears again and come to note that PP’s designs were worn by some of the cast members in My Lovely Girl. Here are the blogs, with one that featured the black shirt that Rain wore in the images that you posted above.

KTH wearing PP’s design is her first time doing so in public, in my recent memory. Since Rain loves to wear T-shirt with the skull design, that means he is very much into PP’s designs, which to my mind, suits his image and perhaps personality. Ahhh, perhaps Rain gave his input to KTH to wear PP’s design? Why not, right? KTH looks really good in her PP dress as shown below. I think it is not lost on those who follow KTH that she is the type who is game for some sexiness or heavy hints of it in her magazine pictorials and public event wears. To prove my point (apart from the PP’s dress), she wore Guiseppe Zanotti’s curb-chained embellished high heels with her toe nails varnished in black. That is not only lady-like but very alluring at the same time! Haha... That said and having seen some designs in PP’s website, I believe very much in her ability to pull off the "chick that rocks” look from PP’s designs. I hope she does that in a magazine pictorial one day soon!

Oh, there’s another thing that I notice. My bias loves asymmetrical dressing/design. An example is her PP dress above. I noticed Rain’s shirt with asymmetrical stripes and neck line in the image below. Influenced by KTH? Why not, in turn by girlfie on her boyfie, huh, but I do stand to be corrected in Rain’s case since I do not know much about his preference in his dressing designs in the past. Whatever it is, assuming they influence each other on some of their dressings, I could only say that it should be for the positive and indeed is positive to me because their dressings, to date, are impeccable and they stun and a delight to the eyes!

Kim Tae Hee's PP floral dress was soooooo beautiful and sexy at the same time. She rocks those mini dresses because her legs are too pretty.
Rain's love for clothes with skulls is unbelievable  I think he has thousands of items with skulls from different brands and PP is def one of his favourites due to the exact same reason.

Really? So many on skulls? Wow. I’ve seen some on his shirts, caps and I think, rings. He is into a mix of grunge-hip-chain & leather type of fashion. That’s the extent that I could think of about his fashion sense as my fashion knowledge is limited. Haha, a total contrast with KTH.  but that is only fashion. I bet they share common grounds that what are more important and relevant in their lives for their relationship to work. One thing for sure, when he is next to KTH, it is proper shirt with sleeves folded to the elbow and yes, with glasses in place!   I hope he doesn’t stop doing that if he happens to know that we are talking about it here, LOL! Last time, there were lots of talk about rings between the couple and then we don’t see them wearing rings like they did in the public events anymore, omoooo.....but I noticed the 3 rings worn by KTH at the 2016 Celltrion Skincure Big Concert. One each on the index and ring fingers of her left hand and one on the middle finger of her right hand. She seldom wear so many rings in the past. Granted that it could be just fashion statement for her public appearance, but like I said there are so many at one go at the even, whereas in the past she mainly goes with 1 ring at a time. We know very well, on that other hand, that Rain wears many rings while performing on stage and he has one each on his index and ring fingers on his left hand while performing at the opening ceremony of Nirav Modi’s Hong Kong store. Something matchy intended by the couple?  :P:lol:

Not exactly back-to-back posting but Breathlesssurvival blogged about KTH last week and this weekend, she blogged about Rain.

How super nice that she rote about both and more so when she mentions KTH on Rain’s!

kim tae hee + other a-listers attend celltrion skincure event

YAY! Kim Tae Hee has emerged from hibernation! She attended an event for Celltrion Skincure, of which is the brand ambassador. You can tell from the media wall there are other associated brands, including Hanskin, which Han Ji Min is the face. She was there too, together with Lee Beom Soo and his adorable family, and Jang Dong Geon.

wash it like rain

How did I miss Rain looking all hot and sexy? Rain has been the spokesperson for Mentholatum for Men facial products for quite a number of years and here he is in the latest commercials for the brand, flashing his perfectly sculpted physique and baby-smooth skin. It is times like that where I remember how fortunate Kim Tae Hee is to wake up to such a man…

As for his everyday fashion  and their fashion in general when they're on dates (those few occasions we saw) I noticed that they tend to wear pretty cheap and plain clothes (his fave brand is H&M apparently). Also he likes wearing the same clothes for many years.

I remember he once wore his old shirt from Rain effect on his date with kth.

Hi Lucia_love, celebrities rarely wear the same clothes & accessories but RAIN is different. Ye, he likes to wear the same clothes that he already wore I guess it’s his favourite or maybe has sentimental value to him.  We know that celebrities are faces for designers and brands to promote their products to the general crowd. There are those who wear as a sponsored garment and they return them after using it unless they purchase them from the sponsor with discounts. There are those who wear the clothes from their wardrobe during events. In RAIN’s case, we often spotted him repeating clothes. Sometimes not the entire outfit, but certain element of the outfit. Sometimes celebrities give away their clothes to their dear ones after being clicked in them once as the outfit can’t be seen on them again and again. So mostly, the clothes don’t go waste, they are worn by someone or the other. Most of the lavish outfits that the celebrities wear to events are sourced from Fashion PR houses, by the personal stylists of these celebrities. It is a stylist's job to put together a look and go source the outfit and the accessories from the fashion PR houses. A fashion PR house stocks the sample pieces by various designers which are lent out to the celebrities to flaunt and made desirable to the potential customers. Once the celebrities have attended the event, the stylists return them back. This is a major reason why we spot two different celebrities wearing the same outfit. Very basic pieces of shoes and bags are owned by the celebrities, which they repeat after long intervals. :P

Hi @Lucia_love and @willenette,

Thank you for sharing more about Rain’s love for many things skull on him and the fashion of celebs. I noticed it myself how he tends to repeat wearing some clothes, shoes and accessories. Perhaps other than them being sentimental value, it could be a case of him being thrifty. I was told that he is not the type who wastes. So, we do get to see him mix-matching his clothes, shoes and accessories from time to time. It's interesting as we see different style each time he does that and they do not bore. I have seen some celebs who repeatedly wear the same type of clothes and shoe (like the celebs only own one pair of it forever, omoooo....) and it’s so boring to see that same old, same old, LOL!

On KTH, I seldom see her repeating her clothes for official public events nor have I seen other female celebs wearing the same as she did. This is aside from magazine pictorial, that is. I suppose it is hard and not fair for any magazine editors to negotiate for a one time exclusive wears by fashion houses to the exclusion of other magazine publishers, unless it is meant to be that way.

While Rain has penchant for skull prints, KTH has great liking to something tied with a bow, all cuteness and sweet type, like these, as examples:

With this one loud fashion statement of dark red bows tied to the top of her sneakers, to match her overall sports attire for the LG Twins Baseball event in 2011.

Haha, I’m not sure whether there is any female K-celebs who follow suit after her at similar events, but stand out she does!

Nancyzak hahaha - ye, RAIN is thrifty, super thrifty indeed! He said before & that was some years ago - that he still has a habit saving money, a habit he developed since young, hence saving a huge amount of his earnings in the bank. I know before that Rain has always been letting his Dad handle his bankbook, he doesn't even know how many bankbooks there are to his name. Some years back, every month, he got 50,000won as pocket money from him and that makes up for his monthly expenses. Hahaha - IDK if that amount still applies now or if his father still handling his bankbook.   Rain is also different from other artist I guess who love branded stuff, he hardly buys any expensive and branded products. He once said that even though he received branded presents, he won't spend money buying those branded products for himself. There are times where he is generous. Rain generously donated to various public welfare activities, though.

Most Koreans especially celebrities as soon as one thing trends, everyone goes and buys it and throws it out as soon as something else trends. They just care too much about trends and what others think (I don't think he cares about other people will say). Koreans care more about following the trends and not falling behind... Well, for me, it is all about individual preference and taste. :P
