Lee Ji Ah

It has taken a long time to finalize the cast for "The Woman Who Gets Married Three Times," but now the lineup is complete and the SBS weekend drama is on track to air in November.

Actresses Han Ga In, Kim Sa Rang and Song Ji Hyo were considered for the leading role that has now been given to Lee Ji Ah. Chun Jung Myung was up for the male lead but declined to take the role.

Then the director Jeong Eul Yeong dropped out due to health reasons and it was starting to seem like the drama might not happen.

Fortunately, the casting is now complete, the director has been replaced and filming is already underway.

If the casting process was a case of try, try and try again that's only fitting as the drama is about a woman who gets remarried after a failed marriage. But the storyline is also about what makes a marriage work and what doesn't.

Lee Ji Ah, who appeared in "Beethoven Virus" and "Athena: Goddess of War," will play Oh Eun Su, the woman who remarries. Actress Um Ji Won, who appeared in "The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry," will play her sister, a pet product designer.

Song Chang Eui plays Jung Tae Won, Eun Soo's ex-husband. The actor appeared in "The Great Seer," "A Thousand Days Promise" and "Heartstrings."

Also appearing in the drama is Ha Seok Jin, who played Son Ye Jin's understanding husband in the melodrama "Shark."

Son Yeo Eun who appeared in "Bridal Mask" plays Chae Rin.

Jang Hee Jin, who last appeared in "My Daughter Seo Young" will take on the role of a star named Dami.

The drama was originally supposed to be a collaboration between director Jeong Eul Yeong and screenwriter Kim Su Hyun, who have worked together for 18 years. Together they created many kdrama hits, including "What Is Love?" and "Men of the Bath House." But Kim Su Hyun is now working with the new director Son Jung Hyun, who directed "All About My Romance" and "Protect the Boss."

Although it will be the first time the two drama veterans collaborate, they are prepared to work together in harmony, says the production company, Samhwa Networks. The first script reading took place in August and the premiere date, originally set for October, has been moved to Nov. 9.

The drama will take over the weekend time slot occupied by "Goddess of Marriage."

Me too damsu, my speculation is that her 3rd marriage is her 1st husband Jung Tae Won for he still loves her aside from the fact they have a daughter who needs her mother Eun So.  Though Eun So loves her 2nd husband Han Suk Jin, but because of the big age gap and the other woman who love her husband Han Suk jin might be the cause of her 2nd divorce.
