*** Park Seo Joon's first Hollywood movie "The Marvels" could potentially become the shortest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. On August 30th, CBR and Comic Book Movie reported that the movie has a run time of approximately 1 hour and 38 minutes (1 hour 33 minutes, excluding credits), making it the shortest movie of all Marvel Studios film to date. However, it’s important to note that the movie’s length has not been finalized yet, as details may change before the movie’s release. The movie is highly anticipated in South Korea primarily due to Park Seo Joon’s appearance in the film. He plays Prince Yan D’Aladan, the leader of the planet Aladna, where all communication is done through singing. His brief appearance in the recently released teaser has garnered a lot of attention. In an interview with Total Film magazine, The  movie director, Nia DaCosta revealed, “Park Seo Joon’s character is truly remarkable. The dynamic between him and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) will undoubtedly bring a lot of enjoyment.” "The Marvels" is set to hit theaters in November.   :heart2beat:

*** BTS V must have loved Park Seo Joon very much because he always suggested that ARMYs should watch the K-drama "Itaewon Class."  For sure this series holds a special place in his heart for several reasons. Firstly, it is V's close friend Park Seo-joon (Wooga Squad) in the leading role. Additionally, he contributed his voice to the drama's OST, the song Sweet Night.   :kisslevel:

8 K-Dramas That Would Have Been Better Without The Unnecessary Romance Plotlines

K-Drama fans are getting tired of romances. It’s perfectly fine if the show is focused on the relationship, but when writers just throw one in when there are more interesting things happening… It’s frustrating. While there are several K-Dramas coming out without romances, it’s still the number one item in most series.

As such, fans thought these 8 K-Dramas would have been miles better without that pesky romance!

1. Itaewon Class

Park Sae Ro Yi’s (Park Seo Joon’s) life has been turned upside down after he gets expelled from school and his father is killed in an accident. Following in his father’s footsteps, he opened a pub named DanBam in Itaewon.

Fans were mostly irritated with the love triangle aspect as it is very overused. They felt as if the romance was an afterthought as each character was unique and interesting on their own, and the romance didn’t really go with the plot.

Many thought that there was no chemistry between the two and that the couple truly came out of nowhere.

*** A meme trend took over the internet, and it features one of our favorite Korean actors! It’s none other than Park Seo Joon. The memes are referred to in the Facebook group as the “PSJ trend” and typically feature a picture of Park Seo Joon with a play on words of his name.  In this case, the user said that they would name their suitcase “Seo Joon” so that they would be able to “Pack Seo Joon.” From then on, others joined the trend of uploading his pictures. They got extra creative and whipped out their editing skills. Graphic design is clearly their passion! This new trend has become so popular.   :heart2:

*** According to figures released by the Korean Film Council on September 5th, the film "Concrete Utopia" earned 17,268 admissions on September 4th.  The movie now has 3,629,869 admissions at the South Korean box office since its release on August 9th.  It now only needs 370,000 admissions to hit the four million viewer mark. But it faces difficult odds to reach this goal- since the movie only earned 157,711 admissions in its fourth weekend.   :kisslevel:

Korean Disaster Flick Among 'Most Anticipated' at Film Fest in Toronto

2023091100926_0.jpg

"Concrete Utopia" starring Lee Byung-hun, Park Bo-young and Park Seo-joon was named among Forbes magazine's list of the 10 Most Anticipated Movies at this year's Toronto International Film Festival last week.

"Beyond the post-apocalyptic setting, this film's heart lies in its commentary on society, trust, and human nature," the magazine said. "Amidst destruction and rebirth, 'Concrete Utopia' challenges viewers to confront their beliefs, prejudices, and the very fabric of human civilization."

"Concrete Utopia" depicts the events following a massive earthquake that razes all buildings in Seoul except for one apartment building, which ends up attracting survivors.

It is one of five Korean films, along with "A Normal Family," "Mimang," "Sleep" and "Smugglers," being screened at the festival, which opened last week and runs until Sept. 17.
