I just watched another more in-depth interview of the GoM cast, especially Nam Sang Mi, Lee Sang Woo and Kim Ji Hoon...

Apparently, Nam Sang Mi said Lee Sang Woo was very funny off screen...so it helped her to...get into her character faster...meaning to fall in love with Lee Sang Woo's character...hence she thanked him for being funny and humorous in real life.

So... maybe Lee Sang Woo is actually quite relaxed in real life off camera?
I don't know why but in that BTS video, he really looked so uptight...
So it is interesting that NSM didn't find him uptight in person...hahahaha....

She was asked which of the male leads is her type...

Nam Sang Mi was stuck in that moment...she smiled, looked at Lee Sang Woo in his eyes...then at Kim Ji Hoon...and said both have different charms. The host then told her to describe both men's charms...

Lee Sang Woo is the IDEAL TYPE, the dreamy and mysterious type of man women would like...plus he also induces a maternal instinct within females...to love and care for him..and he is a very decent guy.

Kim Ji Hoon has very good taste, SENSE, and he is very quick witted.

She is very lucky to work with such perfect male actors in GoM.


Lee Sang Woo said NSM is a kind and beautiful woman, every man's IDEAL TYPE.

I was so happy when Kwon Eun Hee said she wanted a divorce with her looser husband! He really do not know his mistakes, and he even blames her for leaving the house and her son? Are you kidding me? He dare to say that men cannot control themselves when they see a pretty woman? Omg. I want to punch the shizzle out of him. Jang Woo must be so upset with his whole family being a mess. Poor kid.

The grandma said she likes woman who are talented and have a job. I guess that made Min Jung frown..lol, I'm pretty sure she plan to marry the guy just so that she doesn't have to work the rest of her life since he's so rich. Gold digger alert! Materialistic! I am also sure that the grandma knows what is going on...she has that "look". It is strange that Ji Sun is such a strong and smart woman, how did her daughter grow up that way? Btw, Min Jung is 25 years old?

I gotta say that Hye Jung storyline made this drama very exciting!!!!!

Ye Sol was brought up by the grandmother not as a spoiled brat but as someone who has to work for his keep. He has been working and managing the cafe and the other businesses since he was young according to Eun Hui.  I guess the grandmother will not allow the granddaughter-in-law to just sit. She will definitely make her work not in the house but in their business if not keep and continue her job with the broadcast station. The grandmother admires women who work, so if MJ wants to be on the good side of the grandmother-in-law she better keep on working while attending to her husband's needs. The grandmother would never tolerate unjust or bad behavior. She had the husband of Eun Hui fired from his job. So MJ better behave or else she be kicked out. She grew up so different from her mother Ji Sun, I guess the grandmother-in-law will be the one to teach her what life is really about and not just pleasure. MJ is such a spoiled brat.

I know she will.  But what can we do about the gold-digger girl not loving the guy.  I thought we would have some little story of her actually realizing that she shouldn't do this, and leaving him saying she does not want to be a gold-digger.  I wanted the guy (who is actually a decent looking guy who is made to look like a bit of a buffoon) to later show up with a makeover and talking like a smart fellow, with MJ beginning to actually like him, and how he truly loves her...  But none of that stuff here... All we have is another stupid marriage. 

Yes, the grandmother is definitely planning to set MJ straight and make her work, but that doesn't solve the issue of no love from her to the guy.

I think mj will grow to love ye sol over time....it is not a major problem for her to fall in love with a decent man...because it seems like she didnt have any relationships before getting married?

Is anyone else following King family?  Lee Tae-Ran is also in that drama.  I think in Ep 6 of King's Family, her character was told that she could have married well and been an announcer on TV.  I thought that was funny.

I was thinking GoM is ho bak's life in a parallel universe...because she did become a news anchor hahahaha...and marry into a chaebol family...her mother in wang family would suck up to her in no time!

Episode 29 (speculated interpretations)


At cold castle, tj is begging his father not to send him to prison.
Evil fil says something resolute to tj.

Tj stands up and says he will never go to prison!
He says he is the deputy chairman of sin young group.
He will never go to prison!
He leaves his father's study...
Evil fil yells at tj...and broods.


At nam mi ra's apartment,
arrogant prosecutor is talking to hj on the phone.
He says some stuff to hj that kinda disturbs her.
He hangs up on her.
Hj falls into a state of worried expression as the phone call ends.


At the main bus station, song nam gil, ji hye and ji sun's father alights from a bus.
the driver helps him to unload his boxes of peaches and luggage.
jh's father stares into the far distance...brooding.


At the cheap hotel,
ji sun is kneeling in front of her parents in law.
fil is helping to say some good words for ji sun...
mil is going into a tirade on ji sun...
ji sun is tolerating it...
mil says some stuff....
ji sun asks what is she saying now?
mil and js are having a disagreement...
fil is trying to get his wife to cool down and go home...
js cannot control her temper and speaks back at her mil...
js leaves the cheap hotel in a huff...and walks towards her car...
she receives a phone call from her father...
he is waiting at their apartment block...
ji sun reveals ji hye is staying with her now...
father goes up to their apartment...

ji hye opens the door for her father...
he asks why is she living with her sister?
ji hye is having difficulties explaining...

evil mil is having a discussion with fil over sending tj to prison...
she throws down some words at her husband and leaves the study room...

she spots tae wook dining alone in the dining room...
she asks what is he doing...
he says he is having dinner...why?
mil goes into a tirade on him...scolding him...why ji hye has not returned home...?
she scolds him for being henpeck?

tae wook cannot tolerate his mother anymore...
he says ji hye doesn't like her...because she is very nasty towards her...
ji hye is a sensitive woman...
he explains ji hye's reasons for not coming home...

mil goes into a tirade on him...and ji hye..
she says she also doesn't like ji hye...
she warns tae wook about ji hye...giving him an ultimatum...
she then tells the maid to get her a glass of water..

ji hye's father wants to talk to ji hye about her intention to divorce...
ji sun tries to stop him from entering ji hye's room...
father insists...
he enters ji hye's room and sits down...
he asks ji hye why she wants to divorce tae wook?
he goes into a tirade on ji hye all of a sudden...ji hye gets a shock..
he asks her if she thinks marriage is child's play...
she says she is tired in the marriage with tae wook...
he asks tired of what?
jh says everything...
he says things will get better over time...
jh says she cannot even be a writer...
he says something...
she says she cannot stand tae wook's family and she is very exhausted living with them...


ji sun's husband returns home...
he immediately asks loudly about ji sun's visit to his mom?
ji sun tells him to shut up..
she brings him into their bedroom and she tells him that jh wants to divorce tw..
he is shocked...
js is stressed...she wants to go to bed...
he then reminds her he wants to talk about his parents...
ji sun then says she has done all she can for his family...
let his parents live with them,
let his brother and nephew live with them..
he says his mom is not a bad person...
js says...his mom is indeed a bad person...

chang soo then whispers to js...if she continues to be like this...
he would divorce her too...like jh...
js thinks he is crazy to bring it up...
she yells loudly to her father that she is getting a divorce too..
her husband tells her to quiet down!
js then slams him down on their bed and wrestles with him!


mj is at work...
she proudly passes her wedding invitation cards to her colleagues...
esp..to this female senior colleague...
and she throws down some sarcastic words...
which richard simmons off the senior...who yells noh min jung! as mj walks away...


ye sol is at home with grandma ceo.
grandma ceo is looking at the wedding card...
she asks him he has decided on the wedding date?
ye sol says mj wants to get married as early as possible..?
grandma ceo then asks ys something...
he says something...
grandma yells at him and sighs...


at english night class,
seung soo is teaching english...
he notices the seat beside pil ho is empty...
eun hee did not turn up for the class...
pil ho also notices...
after the class ends...
seung soo walks past a female student who sneezes...
he recalls what eun hee has said at the eatery that night...about women desiring younger handsome males too but they never want to live their lives with them...
he is worried about her...

she says they are getting on better terms..but why does her mom have to screw things up for them again!

kyung min is looking for some documents on hw's table..
hw reaches and asks km what is he looking for?
km mentions about sin young hotel...and taejin...
hyun woo is mad at kyung min...
he wants to leave...
km tries to stop him...and asks what is he going to do...?
hyun woo is mad...and yells at kyung min...
i think their company is in trouble now...

hyun woo throws down some harsh words at kyung min...and leaves..

he sees sk calling him again...
he makes a u-turn...and drives somewhere...


arrogant prosecutor has made an arrest of a man related to sin young group...
the press are hoarding the arrogant prosecutor and the suspect...


at the detainment centre...
hyejin has been released.
hj's mom and younger sister are there...to fetch him
mom brought white tofu for him to eat...
hyejin eats...the tofu while brooding..


at hyejung's apartment,
fil says he has let her younger brother go free...and fixed the art corruption case..
he asks hj something...
hj answers something back...
fil wants hj to return home...
he will arrange a job for her younger brother, hyejin...
he says he will let hyejung become vice chairman of sin young group...?
hyejung is shocked...

ji hye's father is on his knees begging ji hye to give her marriage a second chance...
jh finally returns home with tw in his car...
while js and their father are looking tw's car drive off...
jh is in tears in tw's car...
tw's voice is heard in the background...saying thank you to jh.

tw and jh stand at the entrance to cold castle...
tw says something to jh..

jh is seen sitting on the sofa...
mil looks at jh staring at her...
she coldly asks jh what is she staring at?
jh looks downwards...avoiding eye contact with mil...

it merely just carries the story forward by an inch.

My god...hyun woo and se kyung's kiss in the car shocked me to the core!

their kiss seemed less passionate than hw's kiss with jh..
it is more like snogging...

but hw is indeed pissed with sk's mom's really redundant phone snooping behaviour!

ji hye has finally thrashed out all of her inner thoughts at tw!
but tw still tries to get his way with her...
she has already said their marriage is a mistake!
she regrets getting married to him!

but jh's father's begging is the ultimate divorce stopper...sigh.
