I also think its a woman and the one who was wearing the red blazer earlier. they focused on the sounds of her footsteps through the lobby when she first entered and then again they focused on the footsteps at the end. They sound very similar like someone wearing heels. Also it will catch people off guard as well if it was a woman. So if it is really her, that would be awesome!

[HanCinema's Drama Review] "Shark" Episode 3

Han I-Soo quickly proves that he's every bit the threatening predator we've seen in the subtler parts of his personality. There are two major thematic elements of the episode. First, I-Soo wastes no time in figuring out exactly what happened to his father, though both he (and the audience) still aren't fully clear on why, exactly, this happened. The how is still all too clear.

The second major point are the implicit threats. Really, nearly everyone in this drama is pretty good about showing hostile body language while still being respectful speech-wise. But teenage I-Soo (played by Yeon Joon-seok) demonstrates scary potential in the way he stands up to people withj actual life experience in these situations. Given that Yeon Joon-seok is not the main character here (just a younger version) I get the impression he's being given very specific direction for how his character is supposed to act.

In this episode we also get our first really good look at the adult I-Soo, both in a tender moment as well as a vicious one. It remains vague what exactly happened to him between the time skip- but it seems like every glance we get at the older I-Soo the less likely it seems that he can be rehabilitated, or even that trying would be a good idea. Like a real shark, he's relatively harmless unless provoked or stimulated somehow, even in his current single-minded state.

This isn't just a function of Kim Nam-gil's performance, either. We get a reasonably good outline of what's happened to Jo Hae-Woo in between the time skip- and so far it seems like her best option should be to forget about him. Now, for obvious dramatic reasons, this can't happen. Hae-Woo is going to be a major force against I-Soo's revenge, if only because he actually likes her. Not in a romantic way, necessarily, but because she's the only character we've seen that's shown serious remorse about their own predatory behavior.

One final element is introduced to the story in this episode that will no doubt prove essential- the force that changed I-Soo. It is malicious, dangerous, and not something anyone wants to be left alone with for any period of time. Scarily, we get the impression that I-Soo knows this just as much as we in the audience do- and genuinely does not care. Pay attention to Kim Nam-gil's devilish smile here- there's a definite inherent joy there that could not have been taught.

Review by William Schwartz

"Shark" is directed by Park Chan-hong, written by Kim Jee-woo and features Kim Nam-gil, Son Ye-jin, Ha Seok-jin and Lee Honey.

and also his little smile at the end. I do believe he was smiling at her, much like he did when they met earlier. He is so bad richard simmons. Hope he does not go soft in the end hehe.

Son Ye-jin cried in the arms of Kim Nam-gil.

Jo Hae-woo (Son Ye-jin) cried in the arms of Han I-soo (Kim Nam-gil) on the third episode of the new KBS 2TV drama "Shark".

Jo Hae-woo ran into Han I-soo when she went out to get some air. She didn't recognize him at first and they just had a conversation.

Han I-soo mentioned the Milky Way, something they used to talk about when they were young. Jo Hae-woo was confused at first and started crying. He hugged her.

Oh Joon-yeong (Ha Seok-jin) then appeared and Jo Hae-woo and Han I-soo became awkward.

Episode 3 is a great start off to unraveling the plot and opening to Yi Soo's revenge :), I love it! My goodness, it just breaks my heart when Yi Soo told Haewon about the polaris; north star again...and he hugged her because she cried remembering what young Yi Soo also told her that too, that scene was beautiful. Also, I'm like having the second lead syndrome, the actor is so cute! He loves Hae Woo, but Hae Woo loves Yi Soo...ahhhhhh so heartbreaking for the second lead. Oh yeah I think that the guy with the Japanese name is helping Yi Soo's getting his revenge against Hae Woo's family.....the mystery from the documents, I wonder what that is???

@nana544 I may be completely off here since I have yet to watch Ep3 but I do believe the documents are related to the original owners of Gaya Hotel. Somehow Grandpa 'stole' or 'bought' over the hotel and used probably the whole history of the origins of the hotel as his own as opposed to the original owners ie again guessing maybe Kim Yoon Shik, the father of the Japanese guy. Btw I love the second male lead too but I am going to wait and see how his character develop before I climb aboard on the shipping cos KNG is hot as ever hehehe.

Ep 3 was OK, it kind of lagged with the whole past story but it picked up in the end when we got to see the revenge beginning. I'm guessing YS's partner (the muscle) is the girl who came to his room so this should be fun. Also it's kinda nasty for him to call HW out on her wedding night >:)  - oh well I guess the whole happily married thing is out the window, I mean who just leaps out of bed at 3 am on their wedding night because of a strange call. If they killed that guy in the warehouse this will end messy but I'm hoping they just stabbed him in the leg or something, with the whole balance talk and all.
