Ha Ji-won dazzles as Cartier muse

Actress Ha Ji-won became a Cartier muse not only in Korea but also in Taiwan. 

Trying on a fancy white dress and stunning jewelry in Taipei, Ha boasted a feminine goddess look.

The actress visited the city as part of the Asian fan meeting which was held from Oct. 18-23. 

After meeting fans, Ha did a photo shoot for Vogue magazine and attended Carter’s jewelry launching event.

Taiwan FM Report from MTV Channel's 'Idols of Asia'

The report mentioned that Jiwon has left the best impression (No. 1 in the level of favorability) among Korean celebrities who visited Taiwan. At the end of this video, both hosts of this program Ken Wu and Apple talked about how dedicated she was towards the fanmeet. Ken Wu even said that this is the first time for him to work with Jiwon and after working with her, his heart was stolen by her. Apple then replied, "Yes, because after working with her, you immediately posted on your facebook that she is such a nice girl."

The historical drama “Empress Ki,” which stars Ha Ji Won, Joo Jin Mo, and Ji Chang Wook, has proven that it has truly captivated the hearts of Taiwanese drama fans as it reached a 5.35% viewership rating in the country.

According to a report by Taiwan’s drama channel ETTV on October 29, “Empress Ki” has ranked as the best foreign program for the year as it reached a 5.35% viewership rating in the country.

This is the second time that a Korean drama has surpassed the 5 percent mark in the ratings, with “Empress Ki” following another hit historical drama, “Dae Jang Geum.” When “Dae Jang Geum” was aired in Taiwan in 2004, the drama garnered a 6.22% viewership rating, the highest rating record for a Korean drama.

Taiwan’s ETTV attributed the secret to the popularity of “Empress Ki” to the enthusiastic and detailed performance of its lead stars Ha Ji Won and Ji Chang Wook as well as the elaborate scenes that showed the heart-wrenching love story of the two.

“While it is a Korean historical drama, Taiwanese viewers found it interesting that the drama was set with a Chinese background in ‘Yuan Dynasty.’ The perfect, high quality translation also contributed to the popularity of its content,” said a department head of a drama channel.

“Empress Ki,” which started airing in Korea in October last year, also enjoyed great popularity in the country during its airing. It garnered over 30% in viewership rating for its final episode which aired in April 2014. It is also the recipient of several awards including “Best Series Drama (Golden Bird Prize)” at the 9th Seoul International Awards.

I don't know if you feel the same thing as I but I feel like HJW will soon announce her next project will be a Chinese one or maybe another movie but I have a strong feeling for a Chinese movie/drama or a Pan-asian/Korean-American collaboration. HJW said she wanted to make her debut in Hollywood but she probably postponed it as she only received roles not very compelling. And since she seemed to really like her trip to Taiwan (and Taiwanese people seem to be quite taken with her), I wouldn't be surprised to see her starring in a Mandarin-speaking project. Also, a lot of top actors are now heading to China/Taiwan and making a lot of collaborations there. 
I would like HJW to do a Chinese project. I love Kdramas but the live-shoot system has to die. It only benefits PDs. Actors, staffs and scriptwriters are suffering for decades due to this. Besides, the excuse "live-shoot system raises the ratings" doesn't work anymore as primetime dramas struggle to hit double ratings. Chinese dramas are pre-produced (the same as their movies) so it would be better that she does a project in China (also you earn much more in China than in Korea). What do you think of this? 
Also when will be her next fanmeeting (since it'll be her only news until she takes a new project...)?

Besides Ha, top U.S. models Garcelle Beauvais, Abigail Spencer, Aja Naomi King and Jessy Schram also attended the TROA event.

TROA is a fashion house started in 1966 in Seoul by Han’s mother, Troa Cho. Her son, Han Song, gained global recognition for his details and lines that flatter women’s figures. He was named Fashion Designer of the Year by the Seoul Fashion Council and designed the national uniforms for the Asia Games.

In fall 2013, TROA debuted its jeans exclusively at Barneys in New York and Japan, and at Colette in Paris.
