‘Big Match’ is an action movie that tells a story of a man named ‘Ik-ho’ (Lee-Jung-jae) who tries to save his brother from evil genius.
In the teaser, he is brightly smiling with all cuts and bruises on his face.
Lee-Jung-jae, as a leading role ‘Choi Ik-ho,’ will show his brilliant action and humorous side that he hasn’t shown in any other movies so far. Lee-Jung-jae, who has always transformed into a brand new character in his films, is definitely raising expectation for this film.

“Entertainment Plus” Reveals Behind the Scenes Casting Stories of Popular Dramas and Filmshttp://www.soompi.com/2014/10/12/entertainment-plus-reveals-behind-the-scenes-casting-stories-of-popular-dramas-and-films/
On the latest episode of MBC’s “Feel Good Day – Entertainment Plus,” the behind stories behind stars’ casting were revealed.

Some of the most shocking examples included actress Kim Hee Sun, who turned down Song Hye Gyo’s star-making roles in “Autumn Tale,” “Full House,” and “All In,” as well as Lee Jung Jae, who turned down Lee Byung Hun’s role in “Joint Security Area,” Rain’s role in “Full House,” and Park Shin Yang’s role in “Lovers in Paris.”
The show gave revealed a casting story that many fans may know already in which Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun turned down miss A’s Suzy’s role in “Architecture 101.”  It could be said that Suzy really started her acting career with this film, which got her the Rookie Award in multiple ceremonies as well as her image as the “nation’s first love.”
Meanwhile, Seohyun later got the role as Han Yoo Rim, the first love of Kang Moo Yeol (portrayed by actor Lee Won Geun) in SBS’s weekend drama “Passionate Love.”
Can you guys imagine any of these dramas and films having actors others than the ones finally casted?

Lee Jung-jae courted for new film about Joseon’s last princesshttp://www.dramabeans.com/2014/10/lee-jung-jae-courted-for-new-film-about-joseons-last-princess/2014102008351401229_1.jpg?time=195809
Buzz about a new movie for Lee Jung-jae (The Face Reader) is pretty par for the course, but there’s some extra excitement stirring for the possible new team-up between Lee and acclaimed writer-director Heo Jin-ho, of the classic melodramas Christmas in August, One Fine Spring Day, and Happiness, and 2012’s Dangerous Liaisons starring Jang Dong-geun and Zhang Ziyi. Lee Jung-jae is currently in talks to star in the director’s new movie Princess Deokhye, about the life of Joseon’s last princess who was forced out of the palace to live in Japan during the occupation.
The story already sounds like a tearjerker in a good way, since it’s backed up by the grandeur of historical tragedy: Princess Deokhye was the youngest daughter of King Gojong (who reigned at the turn of the 20th century), and was particularly beloved by her father. During the Japanese occupation, her brother was taken from the palace and relocated to Japan, so to prevent her from being taken as well, Gojong had her secretly engaged. But her father died mysteriously soon after, and without his protection she was taken to Japan at the age of 13, and married off to a Japanese nobleman at 19.
She had a tragic life filled with depression, isolation, and mental illness, and had a daughter who committed suicide. She outlived the war and eventually returned to her homeland, where despite her mental deterioration, she lived a long life. Her story has been popularized by biographies, plays, and a novel (by Kwon Bi-young, called Princess Deokhye).
There’s no word yet on casting the heroine or what role Lee Jung-jae will play, so a lot will depend on how much of Deokhye’s life is planning to be told. Director Heo has reportedly been working on this project for two years, and is ready to begin production in 2015. Lee Jung-jae has the release of his new thriller Big Match on the horizon, and is currently filming Assassination in Shanghai.
Once it finalizes a cast, Princess Deokhye plans to start shooting early in the new year.

On October 20th, a representative of C-JeS Entertainment said, "It is true that Lee Jung Jae was asked to play in director Huh Jin Ho's 'Princess Dukhye,' but no decision was made yet."

“Brothers” Lee Jung-jae and Hwang Jung-min Face-off: “Big Match” vs. “International Market” in December
Source: KOFICE
movies_newss_1029.jpg
Thicker than blood in the movie “New World,” Lee Jung-jae and Hwang Jung-min who made “Brother” an in-word of the year will face each other as rivals in December. Lee Jung-jae returns to the screens with “Big Match,” an action movie about Ik-ho (Lee Jung-jae) who tries to save his older brother from ingenious villains who have taken over the entire city. While Lee Jung-jae returns in an action flick, Hwang Jung-min will bring a touching drama to the cinema in December. Starring in the movie “International Market” set in Busan, Hwang Jung-min leads the story about a man named Duk-soo who has never once lived for himself. The selling point of “Big Match” is Lee Jung-jae, whose movies became box office hits one after another from “The Thieves” in 2012 to “The New World” and “Face Reader.” Expectations are high especially because Lee Jung-jae will take on a role he has never attempted before “International Market” is the latest work by Yun Jae-gyun who directed “Tidal Wave.” Words are spreading that the movie received great reviews at the monitoring preview, and other movies that were preparing for their release at around the same time are stealthily stepping out of the competition. The focus now is on who the audience will choose as the winner, Lee Jung-jae or Hwang Jung-min, the two inseparable friends in “New World.”

Lee Jung-jae is a fighter on the run for Big Match
Wait, Lee Jung-jae (The Face Reader) is going to spend a movie looking like this? You’d think they would’ve led with that information (or bait, what have you). His new movie Big Match will be hitting theaters in a few weeks, and we finally get some clues as to what on earth it’s even about. The casting stories came with the vaguest descriptions of a “live-action game” led by an evil mastermind that turns the entire city of Seoul into a game board, and as crazy as that sounds, it’s actually what happens.
