  TVXQ's new Japanese single "Hide & Seek" has been confirmed as the theme song for drama "Team Batista 4". The song will be of the rock genre, and related personnel commented that this would be the most intense song in Tohoshinki's history.    Yunho: The rock feel of this song will leave a deep impression on everybody, so I hope everybody can feel this song with the drama.    Changmin: the key of the song is lower than their other songs, so it will also be easy for guys to sing it, so I suggest that everybody can try singing it at karaoke.   cr: Sanspo news via HellYM

Yunho: We are really honoured to be singing the theme song. The rock feel is very strong, I think that if everybody enjoys the strong energy brought by this song together with the drama, it would be great.

Changmin: I am very happy to be able to sing the theme song of a really popular drama series! Because the key of this song is not as high as other songs, I hope to see many guys singing this song. As for myself, I also recorded this song as if I was singing this song in a cool manner at a karaoke outlet.

TVXQ Ranks No. 10 on Oricon’s Year-End Chart

 

TVXQ’s 6th Japanese album ranked number 10 under Oricon’s ‘2013 Album Top 100’ chart, the highest rank for a hallyu artist.

Oricon released 2013’s total album sales chart with sales information gathered between December 24 of 2012 through December 16 of 2013 for single albums, full-length albums and DVDs.

According to the chart, TVXQ’s 6th album TIME sold 298,389 copies.

TIME has 14 tracks, including the Japanese versions of Humanoid and Catch Me as well as other Japanese singles and new tracks.

Some of the other K-pop artists that ranked in Oricon’s ‘2013 Album Top 10’ chart include Super Junior, who ranked 49 with the album Hero, G-Dragon, who ranked number 56 with the album COUP D’ETAT and Kim Hyun Joong, who ranked number 79 with Unlimited.

Akin to the front runners representing the Hallyu wave, SM Entertainment also showed the most outstanding activity in terms of their overseas K-Pop concerts, amongst the local entertainment companies. TVXQ were the first foreign artistes to hold a concert at the Nissan Stadium, attracting 144,000 people to watch them during the 2 days. In this year alone, including Nissan, they attracted 890,000 people to their concerts. In the ranking for concert goers in Japan in 2013, TVXQ were only second to Exile, who attracted 1,120,000 people to their concerts. In addition, TVXQ also maintained their top place amongst Korean singers in terms of album sales in Japan. Further, "SM Town Live" held concerts over 2 days at Tokyo Dome and attracted 100,000 people, keeping up their strong foothold. TVXQ, SNSD, Super Junior's respective world tours are also ongoing.

"Plans for 2014"

In 2014, the most anticipated issue from SM Entertainment is TVXQ's comeback. Dec 26 this year will be TVXQ's 10th debut anniversary, and they are scheduled to reveal their 7th official album at the start of January next year.
