[TRANS] Year-End Review Round 2... "Top 10" Acts which electrified the music industry in 2013




The K-Pop crusaders fought their battle alone again this year through their global stages. Through their addictive music and performances which captivate all 5 senses, they electrified fans all around the world. "King of Songs" Jo Yong Pil lit up the fire in the hearts of compatriots by fervently singing "Return to Busan Port" in Japan, Troublemaker's HyunAh and Hyun Seung created a stir in the music industry with their 19-rated stages. In the premises, which is the act which electrified and brought the highs to the masses the most this year? We did a survey of netizens through research site "www.tillionpanel.com" with this question - "the most electrifying act". The strongest act was Troublemaker's "There Is No Tomorrow", taking the 1st place with 19.4% of the votes. In 2nd place was SNSD with "I Got A Boy". They had received strong support through their image-transforming and strong hip-hop performances. This poll saw 10,083 participants (age group: 10s - 1%, 20s - 22%, 30s - 38%, 40s - 26%, 50s - 10% and others 4%, gender ratio: 48% male: 52% female).

Electrifying point: They gathered a 144,000-strong audience in just 2 days, ticketing revenue alone is 16 billion won

They have completely conquered the zenith of the Japanese market. When all the top stars are looking towards Tokyo Dome as their target, they sold out the tickets for their concerts at the 70,000-capacity Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan for 2 consecutive days. The concerts, which took place on August 17 and 18, gathered about 144,000 people, and the ticketing revenue alone was approximately 16 billion won (9,800 yen for all seats). At a time when there is a lot of attention on the "Hallyu Crisis" in both Korea and Japan, there is even more significance in these history-making concerts. During this 3-hour long concert, the fans all rose from their seats and chanted "Tohoshinki", showing a fanatical response. The scene of the 70,000 audience members waving their red lightsticks was really a grand and overwhelming sight to behold.

[news] 131210 TVXQ, #2 on Oricon Weekly Charts... Kara at #7



Group TVXQ has risen to #2 on the Japanese Oricon Weekly Charts with their new Christmas song.

According to the Oricon Weekly Singles chart on Dec 10, TVXQ recorded a #2 position with sales of 116,655 copies in a week of their song 'Very Merry Xmas'.

TVXQ, who had released this song on November 27, sold 77,831 copies on the 1st day, 17,541 copies on the 2nd day, 6792 copies on the 3rd day and recorded sales of 102,164 copies in just 3 days.
