'Pinocchio' to air back-to-back episodes this Wednesday

'Pinocchio' will be airing back-to-back episodes on the 14th!

According to SBS programming for the 14th, 'Pinocchio' will air episodes 18 and 19 on the 14th stating at 10 PM KST. As a result, the January 14th broadcast of 'Eco Village' will not air in its regular time slot at 11:15 PM KST.

'Pinocchio' will also conclude with its 20th episode this Thursday.

SBS released photos featuring Park Shin Hye assisting Lee Jong Suk while he is shaving, in an upcoming episode of “Pinocchio.” The photos show Lee Jong Suk in an arm sling which hints at an injury.

As their ill-fated love has unraveled, “Pinocchio” has featured many romantic scenes between Dal Po/Ha Myeong (Lee Jong Suk) and In Ha (Park Shin Hye).

Episode 17 marked a turning point for In Ha and Dal Po/Ha Myeong, who decided to reignite their budding romance. While the couple did not formally announce their relationship to their family, In Ha’s father was given further context of their feeling during a conversation with Ha Myeong. After being confronted by In Ha’s father, Ha Myeong admitted that she visited him at his home.

Park Shin Hye has drawn praise for her chemistry with Lee Jong Suk, following criticism of her past on-screen kiss performances. "Pinocchio" has provided her with opportunities to expand past her stereotypical wide-eyed reaction with scenes like the toast kiss and the kiss shared by the on-screen couple under Christmas lights.

The drama will conclude with a double episode broadcast on Wednesday, followed by the finale on Thursday.

Actor Lee Jong Suk has canceled his appearance on a special “Pinocchio” episode of SBS’ talk show “Healing Camp.”

Previously, it was reported that the drama’s main stars Lee Jong Suk, Park Shin Hye, Kim Young Kwang, and Lee Yoo Bi would be filming the special episode on January 22. However, due to delays in his schedule, Lee Jong Suk will be unable to participate in the shoot.

A representative of the star explained, “It appears that he is inevitably unable to make it. He has a prior commitment that has been scheduled before his appearance on ‘Healing Camp.’ We think it is very unfortunate that he is unable to appear on the show.”

This unexpected news is likely to affect Lee Jong Suk’s co-stars and their decision to appear on the episode. A representative of Kim Young Kwang stated, “The initial plan was to participate in the shoot together with the whole ‘Pinocchio’ team. If one or more of the members drop out, we will have to reconsider the offer.”

Meanwhile, the finale of “Pinocchio” will air on January 15.

3. “Pinocchio“: Kids rule

It’s February 2014, and the world’s eyes are on the Sochi Olympics. In Korea, the major news networks will soon overrun the airwaves with Olympic coverage, threatening to bury the story about the recent waste plant explosion; however, Ha Myung and In Ha fight to keep it from being forgotten.

During a double-booked dinner that’s attended by the YGN and MSC staff, Ha Myung and In Ha engage their seniors in a debate: Report news that the public wants or news that people should see. In Ha argues that even if it is “old” news, it is their responsibility to give answers to the victims’ families by keeping the story about the fire in the forefront. While she firmly stands up for her thoughts, the tide in the room isn’t completely with her, but Ha Myung gives an epic schooling to everyone, especially respected director Lee Young Tak, who reluctantly believes that a story people want to see is more important.

Ha Myung tells his sunbae, Hyun Kyu, that he has both good and bad news for him. Hyun Kyu chooses the good news first, and when he learns that he’ll be getting idol concert tickets, he shrills like a fangirl. His excitement quickly blows out though when Ha Myung delivers the bad news: Sunbae has pancreatic cancer. Soon, Hyun Kyu and the others wonder why Ha Myung didn’t tell him right away, but the young genius counters that it wasn’t the news sunbae wanted to hear first. Fortunately, it’s only a joke, and although Hyun Kyu and Lee Young Tak feel they’ve been played with, his harsh lesson reminds everyone of their priorities as reporters. The lesson also pays off when Director Lee diverts the YGN staff’s energy into the plant explosion coverage, which leads to Chan Soo being cleared of blame and to further investigation of the real parties involved.
